Brand new VB owner here. I bought a grille from AFD. The box had a "made in China" sticker prominently stuck to it. The YT video from HeavyMetal has them stating they make things "in house." The cardboard shipping box was incredibly thin, and the grille had punched through during shipping. I reached out to "customer service" and only managed to get a response almost a week later by email. They initially told me that they don't do returns or refunds. After sending pictures of the damaged box and damaged grille, they emailed me a shipping label. It arrived back with them a week ago and I'm still waiting for my refund. I purchased a different grille from Import Image Racing. Night and day difference! The shipping box arrived fully intact, and the grille was very well wrapped for shipping. Needless to say, I won't be doing business with AFD again.

Appreciate the video! Most people can't tell the difference between the two. Speaking on the painted flares, I 100% agree that the blue cars look fine with the stock flares. I have a Saphire car and I think the flares look better not paint matched. The red and the orange cars look weird with the stock flares. It's cool that they were willing to sit down with you and answer questions from the community. Not defending AFD, but a lot of stuff from IIR, Subjespeed, JDM are likely made in the same Chinese factory. QC is what counts afterwards. I like how much AFD has showcased WRXs, and how many ideas, good and bad, they've given me. I do wish that I got something aside from AFD videos when I'm looking for effective aero testing lol.
This is the issue. We see the bad press but never the resolution. Jeff admitted multiple times that they had issues. He also said that they did resolve said issues. For those who feel like it wasn't resolved AND watch this video, clearly there were more details that the community wasn't told. At least Jeff was willing to admit their mistakes.
@@HeavyMetalWRX I wish people were more objective.
Lol they don't have paint match. The Grey is off. When told the Grey is off they just send another Grey one which is also off
@murmsuniversalrobotics3938 just Google "aerofoils" for wrx. You will get high quality spoilers that actually work and made of aluminum not cheap plastics
Damn you were in Cali an didn't hit me up? sad face haha.
@@DarkWolfWRX I didn't know you lived there. 😭😭😭
@@HeavyMetalWRX Yeah! haha. I happened to skip Subiefest this year since I went to comic con the weekend before lol. Had I known you were gunna be there I'd have sucked it up and gone!
@@DarkWolfWRX now you'll have to come next year 👀
Yes aeroflow is a scam company. Do any research and you’ll see for yourself. Nice paid promotion😂
Everyone's feedback is important, regardless of how uninformed it is. 😂😂
Need me a titanium exhaust lmao😂
Idk man, I kind of like the titanium exhaust myself 👀
@@HeavyMetalWRXjust pricy for what you get, I’m sure it’s not high grade ti. $3000+ is crazy for a cat back lol
AWESOME INTERVIEW.
Excellent video. Nice to see some behind the scenes inner workings of what a company does. I would probably buy from AFD in the future.
I bought one of their shit spoilers. Thank god i never put it on. They rapidly fade in a year or so. Cheap plastics. The hardware also rusts out quickly.
It's comments like this that drives the misconception. There are literally 100s of spoilers ( many I saw this weekend) been running for 6month to a year ( mine is about 11 months) and still looks like the day I got it. So what are you on about?
@rockymountainhigh4019 because the one I bought was the replacement this scam site sent him
@HeavyMetalWRX have you ever paid for something to be ghosted for 2 weeks? After you paid?? Look through the comments
@@warning6977 probably not. That plastic shit is still in the box. I put my nice aluminum spoiler on and looks great
Sellout
@@malfunction2915 lol collabs are selling out now. 🤦♂️
Idiots on Reddit are full of sh-These guys are legit! Made in the US, and these guys are real VB pros!
Well...they are HALF right. Only the metal splitters are made in the USA. The rest is overseas. They keep saying dropship but that's not true. I literally showed their inventory at their warehouse. Sure they have had issues and they have admitted it. Unfortunately the people who had their issues resolved have t really been willing to admit it. That's happened twice in even just these comments 🤷♂️
How the fk are the issues of them ghosting people after taking their money?? How has that been resolved or addressed?
