    Curious, Are you not required to change into hospital provided scrubs? I noticed you're wearing your outside clothes in the OR.

    Hello :) would you be able to talk/demonstrate common medications you use in the OR and how you draw them up etc. And every case is different, but the common instruments/tools that you usually work with, like the names to know/function etc. Maybe also like how you interview your patient prior to surgery, important questions, comforting words when you have an anxious patient what has helped you calm them down what you like to tell them etc. Thank you!! and how you handle tough situations with surgeons and strong personalities, when you forgot something, having strong skin, etc. Thank you

      @@gracea.5736 She asked like the standard, “tell me about yourself? why our hospital? why the OR in particular?” and some behavioral/work ethic stuff like “describe a time when you had a conflict with a colleague and what did you do, attendance for work, describe to me what roles nurse have in the OR so i described a circulator and a scrub nurse” and an interesting one that i wasn’t as prepared for was “what would you do if you didn’t get the job?” and i think there might have been another one but i forget, mine was a 45 minute zoom interview but it was very casual and she described the OR program and what kind of surgeries they specialize in like trauma surgery

    omg, no more cases after lunch so you got to leave! woo! i work at a large trauma center with about 200-220 cases each day, and man are we busy. i consider my day good if we finish cases around 7p, but there are plenty of evenings we go until midnight or later. i may transfer to a smaller hospital/OR in the future.

    Does your work as an OR nurse involve specific types of surgeries/specialties, or any surgery that may arise?

    Hi there! Love your videos! I wanted to ask what do you do if your cases get cancelled and youre sent home.. doesn't that mean a pay cut since you're working less hours or is there a way for you to make up hours? I want to make sure that you are able to work a full 40 hrs a week regardless of cases being cancelled.

    • @Naptural_RN
      @Naptural_RN  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      🙂Hello and thank you! So I think it depends on where you work and what's available at your facility. We have other ways of getting our ours here. They will also ask us if we want to go home, if not they will go to the next person. Trust me if you don't want to go home, someone else always does lol!

    • @Naptural_RN
      @Naptural_RN  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rumailahussain3178 Not necessarily float. Like I said it just depends on where you work. At my facility there are plenty of things to keep us busy when we have downtime or not a lot of surgeries that day.
