    Thank you so much for your videos! I am in an ABSN program now and know I want to go into OR! I am learning so much and preparing mentally to be in this field and your advice is really helpful.

    I’m slick excited for call…
    Maybe I won’t when I actually start, but I’m so excited to start
    Edit: been in the OR for a year now. And I hate and like call. I don’t like the weekday call the most.

    I feel you, I hate being on-call. It causes me anxiety while waiting. I don’t even care about the extra pay. Ty for your video.

    I need those kinds of stressors cause I work in cardiovascular stepdown unit and I have an interview for OR next week. 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 I am so ready for a new role and new skills to learn. I just hope it’s for me.

    Idt i can deal with all that stress for a job it’s not worth it. Really don’t wanna be called in and have to drop what I’m doing to come into work. But i do love your videos sis ❤❤

    Great video! I have a question. I recently graduated from a LPN program and have just been offered a position working in the OR as Surgical Tech (6 month training), but with expanded role & duties in the OR being an LPN. The recruiter’s said I’ll be “in the system as an LPN.” I took it as being a glorified Surgical Tech. I’m considering it as long as I’m compensated appropriately. 😅 Any thoughts on that type of position/offer, a setup maybe? The pay and me being able to transfer those skills would be my biggest things.

      😀Congrats on completing your LPN program! I think it all just depends on what you see yourself doing now that you are a nurse. Did you always want to work in a perioperative environment or did you see yourself more in a patient care role? I can tell you that there are not a lot of LPNs in the OR at my facility, but that doesn't mean you can't have an expanded role like a first assistant or surgical tech with further training. You worked hard to get your nursing license so use it however it benefits you the most!

      @@NapturalAI Thank you for responding 🙏🏾. I actually don’t mind a role that’s more patient care centered, but I don’t like the environment of SNFs/LTC, especially the ones I encountered during clinical. I was also told I would get a nurse preceptor as well, since I am a new grad so that was another plus. What roles are the LPNs in where you work in the OR?

      @NapturalAI  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JR.Ewing1125 There is one that is a first assistant and there's another one that's in an administrative role.

    So how does pay go with call? Is is part of your salary, did you already do your shift for the week? Is it extra money?

    Please can you explain why you work only as a circulator ?

      @vanessatheurbantarotgoddes2192 in a bigger hospital you orient doing circulating and Scrubbing but depending on which hospital you go to, you can be scrubbing more than you circulate.
