I have learned that the most vital aspect in the OR is to not break the sterility. In which I saw the part when scrubbing was done step by step. Liquid soap is usually used in scrubbing while the brush is used once only. Gowning is also a vital part in the OR to still maintain the sterility of the area. In timing out, it is important to be aware of the information of medications, procedures, and rules in order for the time out to be easy and smooth. I also considered that understanding the surgical materials and instruments is needed especially in intensive procedures. Without this knowledge, the surgery may be delayed or even worse, hindered and complicated.
