Your video popped up when I was trying to do exactly what you were explaining. I would have never figured that out on my own, through trial and error, like I usually do. Thank you thank you thank you!! Seriously. I could not have altered my brother-in-law's business logo for him without your help. God Bless You!!

Thanks so much for doing these videos with crafting in mind...not a gaming. Although I have a Silhouette DE, right now I need svg files to use with a little auto digitizing program (SewArt) I use to create stitch files that I can take to my embroidery machine. The end result of stitch files created from svg ( vs bmp or png) is just so much better. This video covers the offset function so very well. I see this used so much in machine embroidery now ...concentric outlines of running stitches (Bean). Hope I can figure that out.

Is there a way to do offsets on png files I already have? Instead of svg files
I have a couple png files I've purchased for tumblers that I want to turn into stickers for a free gift for the customers who ordered a d can't get it to work properly

I was wondering if you have ever tried to put an offset around a Word Wall PNG with a transparent background. I tried following your tutorial, but Inkscape can't seem to recognize the overall outline of the image, only the space between the text on the inside.

@wendyedwards Thank you for this video! Helped me understand a little bit more about Inkscape. Though, I do have one question: I want to make something similar to what you made the image I want to use (rather than balloons), is a layered image. I have a PNG, JPEG and SVG version of the image and assumed that the SVG image would be best, since it's supposed to be a layered image. I imported it and set it all up, went through all the steps, and then when I uploaded it in DesignSpace, it was just a flat, black image.
So how would you do what you just did but using a layered image?
