I legit love this box. I work with some guys with acquired brain injuries and this box is absolutely perfect for us. I love that there's a very simple step by step game and how none of the cards in the box are overly complicated. Also love the quality of everything included. The playmats/boards are fantastic...(I was not expecting them to be so nice and thick), I like how there's dividers for each of the 10 half decks, and the spaces are big enough to double sleeve each...and even the box itself is nice and thick!
I love this, favorite product since i returned to Magic this summer. Gonna play this with my family and friends, since even people who never played Magic can pick this one up.
Bought this box and the collection box to play at Thanksgiving at a friend's house. I think our wives can jump in with this product. It makes the game play like a board game almost.
Love this product. My only issue with it is that the tutorial should work intuitively but you actually have the reorder the tutorial cards to be backwards from how it comes. The do not shuffle part will make people think they shouldn't do that but you literally have to for the starting hand to be correct
My son wants to get into magic to play with me. HOME RUN WIZARD. this reminds me of how I got started, I got a mtg dual deck pack from BJs wholesale when I was a kid. It came with a VHS tape on how to play! So this was the early days of MTG where you kept score on a counter mat with a clear jewel or bead 🤣
I bought this box after researching MTG for the first time last week. Played it with my wife tonight. It’s outstanding and I can’t wait to play more and try to build a complete set. This is my first MTG purchase ever.
If a store is selling this for 29.99 then I need to find out their distributor for my store. I was charge $30 to put it on my shelf. It is a great set though an I'm glad to see channels covering it. One of the best intro boxes for a Card game I have seen.
Yeah, the starter kits will get you started, but they're not terribly competitive. A good next step is to try out some of the decks on MTG Arena to get more exposure to the current Standard format. When you find some you like and budget allows, you could buy the single cards in paper form.
When I started, MTG Arena didn't exist. I watched TH-cam Standard deck tech videos and looked for budget decks here: www.mtggoldfish.com/metagame/standard#paper - then bought the actual cards from my LGS or TCG Player online. It's pretty much the same process to get into any paper-based TCG.
@@MTGUnpacked Just picked up a mono green deck, 3 jumpstart packs, and a foundations booster pack. Had to go to 3 stores trying to finish the mono green though. 😅 I think Ima get the foundations collection when I can and feel ready to design my own decks.
the ONLY thing that annoys me about this product, is the inner box, looks to be the bottom half of a bundle box, but WITH NO LID!! they give you the dividers, but why no lid?!!
Not happy with the giant lid they give you that covers everything? This is marketed more at the board game / new player crowd than collectors of bundle boxes. You can always buy a Foundations bundle if that's what you're after🤷♂️
@@MTGUnpacked Hmmm, I must of come off too agro. I really do like this product. I was thinking more of the intended demographic, getting a [complete] storage box that normally comes at a larger cost (bundles), to really support that gateway product. and to give its components a bit more service life after the user has outgrown the intro playability and starts to deconstruct and collect.

Very cool product I hope Wizards calms down with Universes Beyond and makes more of their own IP products after next year
Ha nope

At that price, I think all that's more than fair. I don't really know what I'd have done differently. Good on Wizards, here.
P.S., when I started with 7th Edition in 2001, we only got a flimsy paper "board" to play on - and we LIKED it!
Honestly did a double-take on the price. I thought this would be closer to $50 USD!

I just bought this product as a present to a friend i just taught how to play magic, by the video i can say he'll love this!

i'm looking into different tcgs, because i only play mitos y leyendas (a chilean made tgc) and this MTG box released at the perfect time
Honestly a product I wished they'd made when I started playing in 2017!
I'm going to teach my dad how to play MTG with this box.
That sounds like fun! My parents aren't interested sadly
I hope he understands
... And I'm going to teach my 7yo son.
Hope is not too soon 😂
@@enricot.3483 I believe in you
Reminds me a lot of the Pokemon Battle Academy box.
Yup! Getting this to add to family game night. Easy way to teach a new game to people. A+ on this product. Picking up from my local Card Shop today!
Awesome! Great way to finally get my kids into it
You weren’t supposed to mess with the order of the Cats and Vampires deck lmfao
Too bad there's absolutely no way of knowing the original order!😜
jumping in to play magic is this a good pickup for a newb that’s never played
Yes! This is the best MTG beginner product they've ever made, in my opinion. I wish they'd done something like this years ago!
I really liked everything in this box
Can you mix say the vampire deck with the undead deck after playing through the book?
For sure!
The jumpstart of this box, are the same that jumpstarts that sold separated?
No, these Jumpstart half-decks are only in this box.
Found my starter kit is worthless against decks from here...or any other decks.....😕
Not sure what to do....

@MTGUnpacked Unfortunately, it's really hard for me to get into digital forms of physical games....

Are all the boxes containing the same decks?
All of these boxes have identical contents.

This is sold out everywhere 😢
Don't worry, these will be in print for years👍
