All Starter Collections have the exact same cards (other than the Play boosters). The full list of contents is here: magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/foundations-starter-collection-contents
I may pick this box up sometime early next year if its still around. I just started magic and was thinking of by a set of boosters but ill go with this.
Might not be still around. But definitely get one if you can, it will fill in the land you need to get off the ground, a land station is almost as much as this anyways. Highly recommend this if you only have a few. +1xDragon Shield 100ct. Lol
I started with this and the beginner box and the card value inside each box =The starter collection is worth 125 in cards currently. I scanned every card. The box cost me 50 usd. The beginner box nets 76 usd in card value. I got the beginner box for 31 usd. Both are amazing value for gameplay. Keep in mind im 3 week into mtg. So it was a amazing start for myself as a new player. What i have seen these boxes are identical and from what i see in your video that is a correct assumption.
This definitely looks like one of the best value products they put out in a long time, especially to draw in new players. The included Commander staples are nice to see to let new players experiment with Standard and Commander right out the box.
when I first started back around khan's of tarkir I bought a deck builders toolkit and pulled 2 fetch lands from my packs but I had just started playing magic and was like these lands are rare but their not cards I wanted for my red deck so then when I went to the shop a player was like hey kid I'll trade you what you need for your standard deck for those fetches as I then traded away my like 50 bucks worth of fetches for 30 bucks worth of mono red burn stuff because I was like 12 and magic was confusing as a child lol
I just started playing magic a couple months ago and built 2 decks already for commander. probably going to snatch one of these just becasue of all the useable cards. Some really good ones for commander in this.
Wow, there's a lot of value in this "Deckbuilder's Toolkit". I'm gonna want to get me one of these, perhaps for Christmas. (14:43) LOL at "you have to look up what it actually does online". (It's a vanilla Dinosaur.) (16:28) #Ajani
Oh wow. I didn't know this came with the life counter that's in the style of those Phyrexian promo ones they sent to Game Stores about two years ago. That's great!
I picked one of these up prerelease night. I have yet to crack it open. Looks like some good stuff. I'd like to see a follow up vid with what decks you put together.
Just got mine today in Nova Scotia, $75cdn tax included. Not bad price to value for new players. Im returning and have maybe 12 lands from bloomburrow/duskmourn packs testing the water before buying this, I can now build decks again.
I am new to mtg, wanting to go all in on foundations. Mainly grabbing bundles for an economical way to buy packs. I was going to flip my lotr gift bundle to fund foundation bundles. But I really am tempted to open the lotr gift bundle…. Should I use it for my decks or just move it on and get more foundations to play with??
The LotR bundle will get you The One Ring at least, but it really depends what format you're mostly interested in. If it's Standard, Foundations would be better. If it was me I'd open the LotR bundle😜
#Ajani - Such a great box, I've been buying packs and playing for a few months but this looks perfect to build a good base for each colour Already planning Red/Green deck around Wolverine's SL! :)
Yes, there are enough cards here to make some decent Commander decks. Another good way to get started in the format is to buy some recent pre-constructed Commander decks and upgrade them or use for parts for other decks.
You'd get a bunch of cards used in Commander with this, but that'd be true also with a pre-con deck. If you wanted to try building something on your own, this would be the better option.
Found the answer to this in the Foundations release materials. For anyone with the same question - this box is not at all random, everyone gets the same thing.
@ Definitly looking out for it the value is like more than its cost probably i saw one for 44€ like also 350+ cards is juicy nice collection considering also all mythics
Hey, what do you think abaut beginer box? It's 100% bait form Wotc they said you get jumpstart boosters and then they give you same cards in every beginer box every booster contains guarantided cards XD who buys booster just to don't get random cards. 😂
I don't know if anyone has crunched the numbers for card values yet, but with the quantity of these they'll be printing, it'll be less than $59.99 USD.
#Ajani I'm really liking this set. I have been away from MTG for 27ish years. Kinda starting to get back into it(Recently learned about commander decks, that's confusing, and neat lol) So I need new cards. These seem like great value and worth picking up? We got the beginner's box and played the guided game, that was enjoyable. So this would be a good next step to add to the beginner's box?
Yeah, I'd recommend one of these or some pre-constructed Commander decks as good next steps. Foundations Jumpstart packs would be good too, though not Standard-legal. A Bloomburrow Starter Kit would also be worthwhile for Standard.
@@MTGUnpacked I m trying to get into commander and standard and thought this might be a good way to get cards. All I have is a 2023 starter kit, lotr starter kit and 4 foundation jump start booster packs.
Best way to get into Commander is to pick up one or more of the pre-constructed decks that sound appealing to you. They often have format-staple cards you can use in other decks.
#ajani - thanks for unboxing this. What a cool product. I’ve been playing since 2013 but I’m going to pick up one because of the awesome reprints and the Rebecca Guay lands.
All Starter Collections have the exact same cards (other than the Play boosters). The full list of contents is here: magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/foundations-starter-collection-contents
That's a lot more value than I thought they would give you. A very solid amount of playable cards.
right?? such a good deal
I'm too remember old deckbuilder boxes, when i was a new player. These new will be more helpful for a new players
This box is insanely good value for new players, would highly recommend this box if you're just starting out your collection!
I may pick this box up sometime early next year if its still around. I just started magic and was thinking of by a set of boosters but ill go with this.
Products like these will probably be available at a reasonable price for a year at least
Might not be still around. But definitely get one if you can, it will fill in the land you need to get off the ground, a land station is almost as much as this anyways. Highly recommend this if you only have a few. +1xDragon Shield 100ct. Lol
@@wgdjoefraser I'd be shocked if they stop printing this, foundations is intended to be legal for like 5 years
I'm expecting multiple printings. By the time 2029 rolls around this set will be dirt cheap.
I started with this and the beginner box and the card value inside each box =The starter collection is worth 125 in cards currently. I scanned every card. The box cost me 50 usd. Wonder if the dividers is something that'll stick around in future bundles, now that they took away the little boxes?
One of the best boxes in a while. I watched a few for this box and the value is definitely there! Thanks for sharing.

Brookoo I lost one of my first shock lands like that lmao, still have my banged up watery grave tho
Not even halfway through the vid and im already planning on going to my local store for this. Woooow is that good value!!!!
I just started playing magic a couple months ago and built 2 decks already for commander. probably going to snatch one of these just becasue of all the useable cards. Some really good ones for commander in this.
The deck builds toolkit where way worse . You got like 5 rares and that where it . For 60 bucks this is very very good
Wow, there's a lot of value in this "Deckbuilder's Toolkit". I'm gonna want to get me one of these, perhaps for Christmas.
(14:43) LOL at "you have to look up what it actually does online". (It's a vanilla Dinosaur.)

My eldest son and I both received this box for Christmas, I have to say I was pretty impressed with what I got. Not bad for the price
Thank you so much! To me the starter collections seems completely worth it!

I might actually pick this up as a semi new guy whose tired of playing rakdos in commander
Random question, any cards from this that should be auto included in food and fellowship or necron dynasty?
I'm definitely going to ask for this box for Christmas 🎄
As someone who just started in July these are great.
Shoutout bad boy gaming 😂 both of you guys are amazing youtubers
Definitely picking this up as a newcomer
I'm so glad they're bringing back the clickwheel
Almost $200 worth of cards in it. Mine was missing the life wheel, but oh well.
You'll have to look up what Gigantosaurus does lol
Lots of flavor text on that one
😂

Bought one yesterday was like 70 bucks at target but dam you got a good pull 😅
This is so good for the growth of cardboard play
#Ajani - Such a great box, I've been buying packs and playing for a few months but this looks perfect to build a good base for each colour Already planning Red/Green deck around Wolverine's SL! :)
Does it include anything good for commander building? If not whats a good starter to buy for more commander decks?
Yes, there are enough cards here to make some decent Commander decks. Another good way to get started in the format is to buy some recent pre-constructed Commander decks and upgrade them or use for parts for other decks.
@MTGUnpacked I only have about 1 commander which is Liberty prime and 4 standard decks. Would this be worth buying or getting them somewhere else?
You'd get a bunch of cards used in Commander with this, but that'd be true also with a pre-con deck. If you wanted to try building something on your own, this would be the better option.
Not bad, basically a deck builders tool kit that has Staple cards
Are the 4 bricks of cards predetermined sets of cards? Or is there a random factor at all to what you get?
They're identical in every box, confirmed by Wizards: magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/foundations-starter-collection-contents
Found the answer to this in the Foundations release materials. For anyone with the same question - this box is not at all random, everyone gets the same thing.
$70.00 in Canada just bought one.
WHERE CAN I GET THIS!? i will get one right now
Local game stores, or should be available everywhere starting on November 15th.
@ Definitly looking out for it the value is like more than its cost probably i saw one for 44€ like also 350+ cards is juicy nice collection considering also all mythics
got this for $42 after tax and shipping, was awesome
I dont see doubling seasons? Not is included?
Not unless you pull one from the packs!
All these cards are valid in Standard format?
Most, but not all. The Standard ones have the FDN set code in the bottom-left and the star set symbol.
All of them are legal except three cards: Arcane Signet, Command Tower, and Sol Ring
Really wish I had the means to support your channel. You bring a unique positivity to the world and I’m about it.
Target was selling it for $80 😢

Don't know yet. But I suspect you shouldn't buy it if you're not a beginner?
does 350 card given same for all? or also random?
Same for all
#ajani i keep wondering if i should pick this up but it’s probably not the play considering i already have plenty of cards
Do all the boxes have all this?
See pinned comment😉
@MTGUnpacked okay thanks was in a hurry and didn't see thank you
What ia expect value about This start collection?
I don't know if anyone has crunched the numbers for card values yet, but with the quantity of these they'll be printing, it'll be less than $59.99 USD.
why does it only have boros charm?
Good question🤷♂️
It's a shame that in certain markets these products are 30-50% more expensive, totally kills the appeal of starter products honestly.
#Ajani I'm really liking this set. I have been away from MTG for 27ish years. So if i buy this box should i still get the foundation bundle too?
Only if you want some extra packs, storage box, and spindown dice.
@MTGUnpacked so it would be better to just get this and extra packs on the side as far as value
Single cards would ultimately be better value than packs, if you know what you want.
@@MTGUnpacked I m trying to get into commander and standard and thought this might be a good way to get cards. All I have is a 2023 starter kit, lotr starter kit and 4 foundation jump start booster packs.

#Ajani, Sorin is my fave planeswalker though.
#ajani oh im still watching. watching for more MyTHiCs!!
#Ajani I'm surprised at the value in this. Every Temple, couple playsets of good commons/uncommons, some decent rares/mythics + the packs on top. Huge
I really enjoy this channel. Do we know if all Starter Collections boxes contain the same cards? (Aside from the play boosters)
Yes, confirmed by Wizards: magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/foundations-starter-collection-contents
Yes, it is a set list of cards
Yes except three boosters

Nice
#ajani 😂 watched it all
#Ajani i am blown away by this product, i wish i had this when i started early this year.
09:28 yes! That's busted!
ok, let's buy it finally and it's already sold out ffs...
It's not officially released until tomorrow. These are going to be widely available and in print for years, so no worries about missing out!
60 bucks? I got mine for 30
Beginner box or starter collection?
# Ajani
Sounds like a mic issue. Try a different mic
Can you be more specific? Are you hearing problems in the entire video or just certain parts?
It's airy and poppy. You come in loud like only getting the top end.
#ajani this starter box is actually pretty good
#ajani xd

The whole time I just wanted to know how much it cost
Literally told you the price at the 30 second mark🤦♂️
