Solid taxonomy. Of course, some athletes are a mix. In my coaching career, I found a lot of your "meatheads" could become "fragile" when they were not dropping bombs. And some "zen" athletes needed tranquility so much that when the environment got crazy, it made them unhappy. And some "fragiles" would appear briefly as "meatheads" when everything was going very well.

I'd say I'm definitely the zen athlete, but occasionally a meathead about 15 seconds before going for a big weight

Hey Dane continuing to follow the channel, and loving the content. I do have a question about training based on Athletic training. How do you feel about Westside (Conjugate) style training as a system overall and its use amongst athletes. Do you utilize some the ideas utilized by Conjugate style training such as maximal effort days and dynamic effort training? Thanks again for all the content and material you give to us. Stay safe and stay strong bro!!!

Hey Sam. Good to hear from you! I would say that we do not train Westside Conjugate, but we do use an undulating system in our programming. Oddly enough we will go over this in an upcoming video. We do schedule days that will be higher intensity than others throughout the week, with one day being a plyometric/low weight room intensity day which will include some exercises with lighter weights and greater speeds, but in regards to how Westside programs banded exercises and lots of sets with light weight. We do not program that way. I hope that answered your question lol
