Hi Joe and Gif! I’m happy to see you first time and touring in my country ! I haven’t seen Vigan in person and first time to actually see this side of Vigan through your channel. I love Thailand and I know there are differences, but I am hoping youd feel the warmth and genuine hospitality of our Filipino people. Traffic is a major problem in our country and I know how frustrating it would be for you guys to experience this. I hope you and Gif would have great experiences to come back again. I finally adjusted to right hand drive..
It only took me a few minutes to adjust, probably because I grew up driving on the right side of the road.

Nice place Philippines is on my bucket list, hope to get around to it soon but the video just gives me a taste.
There are expressways from Manila to Rosario LA Union so you can avoid the traffic when you roadtrip to North Luzon.
We were on the expressway when ever possible. We also had to travel on MacArthur highway, which was a nightmare with all of the trikes.

Vigan City is the first place I want to visit, when I go to Philippines.
We will definitely plan on visiting Vigan City again sometime in the future.

I think it’s like Thailand Hot, Monsoon season and a little cooler weather up north, during the winter months.
I've always thought that accomodation in the P.I. is overpriced and rubbish compared to thailand and the food isn't my favourite, having said that Joe & Gift I really appreciated this excellent vlog cheers.

Getting sick always sucks but getting sick when you actually have plans or are traveling really sucks. I got really sick in Mallorca and days later in Barcelona Maura was laid out for days with the same time. We had over a week of our trip affected by us both getting sick back-to-back (yes, I assume it was Covid by the symptoms) I hope your friends illness isn't too bad and he isn't affected for long. ☹

Not a complaint and just my own observation/opinion, but I have to say I was kind of shocked to see they charged $90/night for that 1st hotel room. For the Philippines? For me absolutely out of control pricing, but again that's just me. What are prices going to be like in just 5 or 10 years? Crazy.
The second hotel room for $76/night, although a better room is still too high in my opinion. At most for the Philippines a room like that should only be about $50/night at most. Maybe I'm out of touch and unreasonable for many, but I've traveled the world and lived overseas. Prices are getting out of control.
I understand you have to pay what the market is offering, but the market is getting out of control.
Remember, we can't compare these hotels and prices to prices in the States or Western Europe. You have to make comparisons for what's the norm in that particular country. I see youtubers constantly make this blunder and it drives me absolutely insane.
Anyhow, enjoy your stay, love your videos and looking forward to more of them.

agree 100% , I often compare Thailand with the Philippines on our channel, and for hotels Thailand is better priced and its not even close
Now GIF knows what it's like to be in a country that she can't speak the language it's hard for us to visit Thailand because we have to convert everything over to Thai
Definitely different when we visiting other countries. Gift has visited Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and now the Philippines.

Perhaps best to visit yourself as everyone will have a different opinion. Gift and I are really enjoying the Philippines, we will definitely return to visit other areas that we don’t get to see on this trip.
I have visited the Philippines but watching your video the food (on the bone). Not my cup of tea. Far prefer Thailand.
The food is definitely different than in Thailand. Thai food is also our favorite.
After your video I don't want to visit the Philippine's. I have been to Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and have lived 13yrs here in Thailand. Everywhere looks better than there.
Please don’t judge it just based on our videos as we are only showing you what we are seeing in the short time we will be here. That being said, once we return home, we will do a livestream giving our thoughts and honest opinion about the Philippines 🇵🇭.
To each his own .. I've lived in both places for over 10 years each visited all the others and more b
