    I bought my first C24 RC car about 15 days ago and the first thing I did was paint it. And I wanted to upgrade the car's speed. And I actually put all 4 shocks shown in this video on my wish list. And I've been struggling with my choice for days. This video of yours is an oasis to me. thanks.

      @@morrisrc I don't know if you remember this video since it's a long time ago, but I have a question. I decided on D shock. However, at shopping malls, they appear to be the same product at first glance, but some provide only bolts, while others provide bolts and nuts. Is your shock bolted? Or maybe you need a nut?

    Thanks for the info. I was thinking about upgrading the shocks while building my C54. The stock shocks worked better with the springs that came with the C54 body but I wanted to upgrade them anyway. I also wanted to change the tires and wheels but the ones I see online are kinda oversized and make the truck look funny :(

    The red ones are stiffer than Ron Jeremy. Cannot recommend. Especially when they probably cost more than the others.

    The stock ones perform the best, other shocks just causes tire rub.

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I have stocks shocks for a stock setup just replace axle metal gears, metal drive shaft and a 260 motor gearbox and it perform awesome.

      I also used shocks C and D and no rubbing of tires, maybe it depends from the mounting or setup.

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the rc is heavy it will works fine and place it in slant position but I don't think it will increase too much travel.

    Hi bro. C and D both are Oil Dampers? How the performance btw C and D ?

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. C there's a chance the tires hit the shock when steering if the setup like the stock and really need a proper mounting because it does not have ball ends. If you mount it correctly it is also good performance like D. For me if they are the same price I'll go with D. If I want more ground clearance and extend the wheels outside I will go for C. Performance wise they are both good. If your setup the same as stock I will go with the new shocks the same looks with stock and the good thing is it's adjustable.

    • @robingo6257
      @robingo6257 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@morrisrc Thanks bro for your detail comment :). I actually already in hand with the new metal shock same shape as the stock. but I am dissapointed with it because its not the oil damper but just spring type. so I wonder how do you feel btw oil damper(C) vs spring damper(D or New stock type metal shock)?

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion there's no really big effect of oil damper in a small scale rc. Maybe after I finished the jjrc q65 I will build my c14 with all metal and I will used the C shocks with oil.

    • @robingo6257
      @robingo6257 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@morrisrc Hi friend, what if we put weights on the small scale rc. then you might think it will be different than the spring stock? I really wanna know the structure of C oil damper has the proper function as an oil shock.

      @@morrisrc recently bought a c24, originally bought them for another car but they were too big

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want a metal shocks upgrade for your c24 none of the 3 are the best. Buy the new one that the same design as stock shocks. It will not hit the cargo bed. Unlike those 3 metal shocks in the video you will needing a shock bracket and it will hit the cargo bed. But if you like a high ground clearance you can mount it directly in slant position without the bracket.
