The seats look great. You acknowledge the areas where you need improvement but for your 2nd or 3rd attempt, I think you should be applauded. You should also be applauded for graciously accepting the harsh critcism from somporfuk. While he sees a "multitude of flaws," I see a talented person just starting out doing the best he can with what he has. I would love to see the first set of seats somporfuk ever upholstered. I would bet that they are nowhere as good as yours! All the other comments were positive. Oh well, I guess there will always be haters!!!!
Appreciate that, but in his defense I do understand what he was saying but I think it could have been more tactful, however some people are blunt others beat around the Bush I accept and appreciate all comments but in the end I won't stop won't quit. Thanks for urs👍👍💪💪💯
Besides the armrests I see a multitude of other flaws. Some of the flaws are directly attributed to the lack of proper equipment. A few missing equipment pieces that come to mind is a proper commercial grade steamer. Only the extremely talented upholsterers are capable of producing near flawless French seams, and if you’re not one of them then there is no substitute for a double needle walking foot machine. The sewing lines could be a bit straighter, and unless I miss my guess, that Consew that you are using could do with a bit of slowing down to crawling speeds. I can see a servo motor and probably a smaller pulley in your future. Of course, all of the things that I point out come with a cost, and when you’re just starting out sometimes we just have to work with what we have (end of story.) So, be mindful of the additional upgrades and tooling that are needed to produce better results, and make your purchases slowly, one at a time as finances allow. The ability for one to look inwards and find self deprecating criticisms are to be applauded. Rest assured, though, that with an unwavering dedication to craft cultivation the finished products of your future endeavors will bear fruits. Good job👍🏾 Keep the strive alive ✌🏾
I acknowledge my faults and appreciate ur comments whenever u put something on display especially on the internet someone will try to tear u down, however I will get better I know it, with the amount of time I have in I have came a long way. I am self taught so I expect flaws look at the title of the video "there but not quite". All in all the seats look good tho and since u said everything but that I assume they look good to u too😁. And if they dont ull like my work eventually if not my dedication. I am going to purchase more and more tools of the trade but right now I'm working with what I have. Thanks for the constructive criticism I will definitely think of ur words every seat I do from here on out. So u are going to help me get to where i need to be. As far as my lines the only crooked lines i have are in the head and arm rests which are a pia anyway. The only French seams I have are on the back seats I did a top stitch on the front bc of the way the seats are made. Anyway keep watching I would love for u to see my progression. 👍👍
@@billyblastcustomupholstery279 Definitely not trying to tear you down my brother ✌🏾Some people always think that because comments are made that negativity is implied, but in this case that is the furthest thing from the truth. Words have meaning and I choose my words carefully.
@@sumporfuk I caught that at the end I was speaking in general. It comes with the territory but I do appreciate everything u said it will be on my mind not in a bad way, I thank u the truth is hard for many to handle but I need it and u was rt with some of ur assessment so again thank you sincerely brother 🙏🙏👍👍

Most of the people in the world don't have the skills to do Tahoe seats. Keep at it. Practice makes perfect.
