    2 things struck me:-
    1) US legal protections (including constitution) only apply on US soil or to US citizens. (Was quite important in the Assange case). This goes right up to extra-legal imprisonment and killing (eg drone strike).
    2) Cops (in in liberal democratic countries) are not just interested in pedos & pushers. The McLibel case was corporate enforcement (using UK libel laws) against activists who claimed burgers were bad for you.. UK cops had 2 agents in this little group who spied on all legal discussions and handed details to Ronald McDonald so he could conduct his case better. So often, crime-fighting is just the pretext.

      Believe it or not you might actually be better off as a capture enemy combatant than a US citizen. If the Feds get you, that's one thing, but if you are in prison in a state, good luck. Depending on where you are, you might not have any rights. They don't have to obey the Geneva convention or anything like that because their opinion is that their own citizens aren't covered under those protections. All enhanced interrogation techniques are legal fair game, lying, trickery, whatever. They control and monitor all your communications, they can block your lawyer's number on the prison phones, they can prevent you from using the law library until you lose your case because you're only allowed to use it for appeals, which doesn't help you if you don't know the law because there are time limits for appeals and in states like PA you have to make notice of your intent to appeal when the issue comes up in court, they can deny you medical care, if they decide you are suicidal or annoying they can put you in the suicide room where its 40 degrees and you only have a paper dress and a grate in the center of the room to poop and pee in, you're not allowed to use the phone and don't have water in the cell and your food is given to you all smashed together and mixed together in a pile called nutri-loaf. And there's nothing you can do, it's you versus guys with guns and batons and chains and pepper spray, it's your word versus their's, and especially if you are in jail you are just screwed. Even body cameras are useless cause they can just be turned off.

    The impact on the illegal drug market was catastrophic when so many of the major players involved in importing & distribution of illegal drug who used the anon phone all got arrested,prices became extremely high because of a huge shortage of stock that took over a year to start returning to normal,what cost 3k before was 12k after the arrest of anon phone users ,had a Major impact on the illegal drug trade but it was only a short term fix

    a key error in procedures of the analysis was that when messages were tagged by FBI as "not pertinent" is that often people who are trying to hide information use very subtle codes during messaging
    for instance, saying "it is a nice day, I'm going to take the day off" could mean the shipment of trafficked children is coming to you today, please forward them to the clients and execute and dispose of the couriers after delivery of the shipment
    so whoever decides on what is pertinent really needs to be privy to the knowledge of what every phrase used means.. and that is not possible unless eavesdropping discovers the intended meaning of the terms used

    • @sauercrowder
      @sauercrowder หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    why would any FBI talk to this guy no matter who he is?

    • @110jmartin011
      @110jmartin011 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are emails, and contact points for the FBI, I never tried to find them, but at 32, I have met people in life who have claimed to have spoken with them about things I consider less meaningful than the hacking of drug phones.
      You probably need a platform, but some level of transparency is expected, and for the FBI that level is about 0.01% opacity.

    I don't understand why people rely on encrypted messaging : everything can be decrypted with time and great hardware. All the FBI and friends need is an access to encrypted data and they surely will be able to decrypt it if they feel it is worth it.
