I'm an airline pilot and a mom, and the 'luggage works multifunction cube' is designed to fit underneath the seat in front of you on any aircraft and has a cooler section that is liquid proof from the other compartments. It holds a TON of stuff and has been real time tested on my baby girl. It fits the tall Dr. Brown bottles standing upright and more. I use this bag for my work and also for my family travel. Love your videos BTW.
I am loving this series on travelling with a toddler! I have a VERY active little girl and we are about to embark on an international holiday. This was so helpful, thank you 😊
I can definitely tell that traveling with a little one really changes things when it comes to flights! I'm glad to see that he was ready to head out for an adventure!
There was a flight out of Texas a Year ago or so. After takeoff the plane hit some clear sky turbulence. In an instant the plane dropped 1000 feet. The drink karts and flight stewards hit the ceiling. 7 people were hospitalized. It's not as rare as you might think. Turbulence accounts for 37% of aviation injuries. We have a special harness that we got off of Amazon. We always strap the kiddo in no matter what.
I fly jetblue most of the times. 5+ hours without a harness. The flight attendants said they dont give harness and we flew when she was 2.4 months 5 months 7 months 1 yes and now 17 monts
@seanfarrell4815- can you possibly link the harness product you used for the flight here? Thank you. Glad to hear you all are ok. That would be terrifying for me and quite honestly our kids too.
@@adrianademelo3939 I think it's the "kids fly safe" one. We've also used a cheap car seat that we bought for travel. The airlines do specify that it must be approved for flight. Ours has a sticker on the side that says it is.
Long haul flights with younger kids request a bulkhead seat with bassinet attachement. Down fall you don’t a bag under your feet for quick grabs so I just wore a belt bag with the essentials. Suction cup toys were a huge win for little dude! Though we don’t use them in the regular pull-ups are a lot easier to change than diapers on a flight.
Thank you for keeping it real!!! That’s why I’ve stuck around for years ❤. I’m about to take a 10 hour trip with my 3 year old later this year. I am TERRIFIED! I loved the travel hack of splitting the responsibilities and going on last!
I've really been enjoying your Instagram stories about your cruise, this is going to be a great video for parents thinking of travelling with a toddler.
Thank you so much This info helps a lot I'm going with 4 of my kids, older three I don't need to worry about but I have a 2 yr old We going on holiday first time. I did ask around for some guidance they didn't help much Thanks for breaking things down 😅🥰🥰
Flights I’ve booked (in australia) don’t give us extra carry on, so we carry on our travel pram and then can only bring one other bag (plus the personal sized bag that goes under the seat). Last flight was delayed by 1+ hour, he spent that time pushing his pram around too! I have a multi sectioned pencil case that I put his toys in so I could grab that out and put it in the seat back pocket to easily grab.
Thank you so much for this video!💛 We‘re flying long distance from germany to thailand in October with our then 10 month old babygirl elina👧🏽Great tipps! I am excited for this new adventure ✈️🌴☀️
Hi! Which stroller did you use? Our usual pivot expand is too big to take on our first flight next month and I'm looking for something light and compact! Thanks :)
We use the UppaBABY Minu 2, it pretty good. It definitely not the more compact stroller and won’t fit in the overhead bins, so you’ll definitely have to gate check it. But you can buy a travel bag for it, that’ll nicely store it during transit. It’s also on the pricier side, but we like how sturdy the wheels and frame are for a compact stroller, because many of them feel very light weight and too flimsy for more rugged terrain.
We're so glad to see you traveling again! Great tips, I think we'd buy the extra seat too, most of the flights we've been on have been completely booked so we'd like to have the extra space for the kiddo.
Omg, i was flying out of Orlando with my at the time 9 month old so i brought the stroller that clips the carseat on top of it and went through the check points like that, and people in line were staring at me, but not saying anything at all, so when i got to security they told me i had to break the WHOLE stroller down, and out it through the scanning machine... Im by myself so I had to to take the baby out (and she couldn't walk yet), so i just sat her on the floor and broke the stroller down one TSA guy was nice enough to pick her up, give her to me, and then HE finished breaking the stroller down and picked it up and put it in the machine for me, and I was thinking OOOOH that's why everyone was looking and staring Cuz they knew i was gonna have to break everything down (I'm a new mom so i didn't know, and never paid attention to the other moms before I myself became one, so). And then on the way back, this other airport let me drive the stroller through without breaking it down!!! I just had to take her out that's it
What headphones does your toddler use? My girl will be 17 months on our flight and I’m scared of getting headphones too big for her head lol thanks for all the tips!!! ❤
The southwest rules say the free lap baby doesn't get any bag allowance :( I'm struggling to pack and might need to buy them a seat just to get a bag allowance 😢
Thank you! Flying in a couple weeks for the 2nd time with my son who just turned 1. My daughter is a pro but a little nervous since now my son is more mobile
@nataliasell99 Will you be getting the bassinet seat? We're flying in 2 months, so we just want to be sure everything is in place. This is the first time flying with him.
Flying with one baby is easy, but try having 2 twins is a different story just got my 8months old twins from South America Peru to Sydney Australia first time back home took us 21hrs travel it was crazy but we got home i feel really bad for the twins and also the peoples on the plane 😂...12-3-2024.
I don’t know how mothers do it on their own when flying. It does take a lot of planning. You didn’t mention drugs. That’s good. Don’t think that’s a good thing unless absolutely necessary. One other suggestion, bring something for the child to chew that works their jaw to lessen the effect of ear pressure. Gum if they are old enough, obvious not toddlers. Did Elliot have a problem with that?
Hey can I get some advice, I have a 14 month old and going to Caribbean . The hotel I’m going yo doesn’t have a pack and play. Should I bring my own ?, the 2nd bag allowance for pa k and play is $40 each way or I can renti one from a baby item rental place when there$45 for the week and $50 to deliver and pick up pack and play. Some say pa k and play is not necessary but I’m traveling solo with baby what advice can you give? Thanks much
I started watching your travel videos before you had baby and I had baby. But now we are both moms, glad to watch some surviving skills with a toddler lol
Just got off an overnight flight with a single mother traveling with a screaming lap child. It was horrible for the child and the other guests around this. Don;t be cheap and buy the kid a seat and the middle seat too so your kid can sleep.
So I’ll be flying 5 hours flight with my baby for the first time , just curious for breastfeeding do I need to go to the washroom or I can do it simply covering myself at my seat ..
Rule when travelling alone or with kids - never arrive at night time. This can be seen as more dangerous. Also, always use car services that are tracked like uber or grab. 🙌❤️
@@afnanj It went smoother than I thought, not going to lie it was still a bit difficult and I was really tired as I was also pregnant. - Don’t hesitate asking for help, good people are all around, I was always asking for help. - Have a meal before the flight as you might not be able to eat with a toddler on your lap. - Feed the toddler before flight and make sure to keep snacks for him/her with you. - download some kids videos (even though I am strict about screen time but an airplane is an exception, whatever makes him quite). - When I reached my destination airport I asked for a wheelchair, carried my toddler while setting and they did everything for me, grabbing the luggage and so on. Best of luck to you.
Toddlers should be in there own seat instead of kicking the person in front of you because your too cheap to buy them a seat. I almost beat the crap out of a woman on the plane over this. Have some respect if you cant afford to go comfortably dont go
A baby bottle with milk and vodka to ease their fligh and avoid all the crying that could cause other passengers to wanna throw your crying bag off the window.
