I admire the independence and the fearless this mommy has! .. traveling alone, managing to fold an stroller, carry bags 💼, hold a baby and even having enough time to get breakfast! ... your tips are amazing for a 1st time mother who will be traveling soon with her 12 month old.
I have watched within 10 videos re: traveling with baby and this one was SHORT, TO THE POINT, and beyond helpful. Thank you for sharing a practical way of traveling with a baby! I feel less anxious about traveling alone with baby, I’m gonna go for it.
I went through so many videos trying to find one just like this !! Thank you for walking us through every step ! I’ve been so nervous about our upcoming flight with our 4 month old and your video has put me a little more at ease
@@Alicewoods000 super easy! he slept the entire flight! BUTTT he was also only 4 months. He’s a lot more active now at 9, so I’d imagine I’d have to do a lot more entertaining if we flew at this age
Baby carrier was a life saver when I travelled alone with my 10 month old. Our first international trip to South East Asia. I was very anxious at first but we made it! 😊
Whoops, saw this late, I ask for the plastic bag at the family help desk where you check the car seat. One time they didn't have it and I went to the check in of another airline and got it.
Omg thank you!!! Why didn’t I watch this sooner!!! I traveled from Nigeria to Thailand (21 hours) at 12 weeks and it was RIDICULOUS!!!! But now that we’re traveling back to Nigeria (4 months now) I feel more prepared. Thank you sooooo much for sharing
Flying with an 18 month old on Sunday, both flights are only 2 hours each but I’m nervous he’ll have a fit. I’ve been online for hours and people are not very understanding of babies on planes. This video was helpful and I love all the tips! Thank you 😭
Good luck! And if he throws a fit, that's ok too! Don't worry about what people might be thinking. A lot of the time I find that other passengers are accommodating and even helpful. Glad the video was a help ♥
I need to fly with a 10 month old and super nervous she'll have another fit as last time was terrible at 6 months! It was the longest 2 hours of my life. How did your trip go?
@@Lilly9420tm it went extremely well! I downloaded some long episodes of kids shows on Netflix and brought snacks and bribing treats. The only time he had a fit was on our layover in a super busy airport bc he wanted to get out and walk, that’s when the bribing treats worked!
Great tips! A baby carrier is so helpful when flying with a baby. We do a similar method but skip the stroller and bring a reusable bag for checking the car seat. I agree 100% about not needing to bring many toys on the plane! There are other things to entertain a baby. 🌺Heidi
We just did a 8 and 7 hour flight overseas from Holland to Toronto with our three kids (youngest is 9 months old also). It went really well. I never understand Why people stop travelling once they have babies! ☺️

Your baby is adorable. I am travelling alone with my 14 month old and 3 year old from Lima to Miami on a humanitarian flight since we got stuck in Peru when visiting family. This will be another ball game for me to travel with 2 under the current circumstances. Thanks for the tip on how to go to bathroom, may have to do the same and hope my almost 4 year old stays on the seat. My 1 year old will NOT be sitting so happily like yours, he just wants to go down and explore if not he will yell BAD, wish me luck!
Wow I never even thought about going to the bathroom with baby in tow! Of course, keep baby strapped on! Duh lol it may be Tmi but a big pro tip lol thank you. I almost packed away the baby carrier in the suit case.

Oh wow! Yes, it is a huge relief to find that express lane. Also, when you are boarding, they let families with kids under two board earlier than general boarding, usually right after First Class. Make sure to listen for the announcement because I've seen families miss it and board with everyone else.

We have to transfer too (2-hour layover). So maybe just check it in (it's not super easy to collapse, it's a bugaboo) before the flight?
Michelle Kim I would do the stroller just so you can give your shoulders a break- and maybe get yourself a nice meal hands free! Could you tell me about stoller do i have to check in with luggage or i can keep with me stoller?or if i keep my stoller where i should keep it? I'm going to Bangladesh so i have to change my flight in China...
You can gate-check your stroller. Take it right up to the plane and then wrap it in plastic. If you have a long layover you will want to have it to push the baby around in it and then repeat the process on the next flight. Note my hack in the video regarding the plastic bag!
Thank you for the video. I am Planning to fly from Seattle to Bali island solo with my 9 mo baby this spring. It’s a long trip with 3 stops. Idk if i could do it 😭 its been 3 years i have not been visiting my family and they have not seen my baby for the first time too.

Glad it was helpful!
I am
Planning to fly from Seattle to Bali island solo with my 9 mo baby this spring. It’s a long trip with 3 stops. Idk if i could do it 😭 its been 3 years i have not been visiting my family and they have not seen my baby for the first time too.
You can do it! We have a new baby and our family has not met him in person either, so I feel you. When you get there it will feel like you did something amazing.
