The doona was the best baby item I owned. I was sad when my baby grew out of hers. We took that thing all over the world. Awesome video with practical and useful advice!
This is more for toddlers/younger kids, but we would stock up in new books or toys before travel. We wouldn’t let Knoxx play with them or see them until we got on the plane. That way the “newness” would hold his attention longer than a toy he’s already used to.
@@Gotti-oddie Yeah we did and it was surprisingly easy but breastfeeding really saved us since that could low-effort work for food or sleep. Honestly overnight flight was easiest since he slept the whole time
Going on a trip to New York in a few weeks with my 5month old, this was helpful. Our everyday carseat/stroller system is the Nuna. I went and bought a used Doona for $200. It'll be helpful for the flight and jumping in taxi's, plus don't have to worry about our Nuna getting lost or damaged during the flight. I'll probably just sell the Doona once we're back home.
@omomo202 we ended up travelling back to Canada together as traveling alone with a 9 month old baby is not easy at all. But I,think if you really want to do the solo dance with your baby, you can really ask the help from a person who sits next to you when you wants to go to the bathroom. The flight attendances are also helpful. However, good luck with your lunch or dinner time as the baby might be too active. Lol
So if it’s a night connecting flight 6 hours before connection to the other flight and you already check in the stroller at the first airport and the baby wants to sleep how does that work?
Do not check the stroller, bring it with you and gate check at boarding time. When you deplane they should bring it out for you to take onto the next flight.
An airplane bassinet or a sky cot is a small bed that can be attached to the bulkhead wall of the plane in front of a passenger seat. Most airplanes offer their own travel bassinets for families who are traveling with their babies.
What if we don’t have a birth certificate? 😭 we adopted but waiting for a birth certificate and plan to travel in 2 weeks. We have the adoption decree. That’s it.

Never bring a baby on an airplane, plane takes off babies ears hurt baby cries. It is so inconsiderate to the other passengers. Do you really think other people want to hear your baby cry for 2,3 or 6 hours. They need to have Adult Only Flights. 18 and older Flights.
Babies have developmental reasons for not being able to control their emotions and cry. You as an adult do not have developmental reasons to not control your emotions. You can use noise cancelling headphones. Babies exist- learn how to coexist with the public you Bafoon. You’re not better than anyone else
Well kindly toss off dear. So I need to leave my baby behind while the rest of us moves to another continent? Or refuse a visa until the baby is...how old again? If you can't share a public space with other citizens kindly stay the fuzz home
Thank you so much for this. First time travelling with my baby and I’m preparing 😍
Congrats on the new addition to your household. Glad you are not wasting any time getting out and travelling with Ruby. Well done on the travel tips.
So nervous!
Soon it will be me and my naughty 9 month old alone in the big scary airport. Omg . Wish me luck.

That is a BRILLIANT idea. Love it
What a stupid name
Great idea!
Congratulations 🎉 and excellent video (airline employee here). You had everything spot-on.
I heard that you can ask for hot water and some napkins and let the water cool down then put it on the baby's ears
Thanks for this! Thinking about traveling with our 5 month old for Christmas, and this was super helpful!
Did you end up traveling?

Ruby is soooo cute!!
😍😍😍 I know right? 🥹
I have heard that some airlines don't allow I-tags in checked bads.
Best flight travel tip with a baby: stop caring about what others think. No one cares.
They do care if you become "that couple"
They do care, a lot
It's hard
Thank you for your video! I’ll be taking my baby on an international flight soon. Would you recommend to purchase a Doona travel bag for gate check?
AWSONE VIDEO , Good explained 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

For my case, as I'm going to travel alone with my baby, how did you manage to eat and go to bathroom on a long flight time?
That’s what I’m wondering too.

How young a new born safe to fly?
Oh. Now I regret taking the isle seat... should have thought about the others maybe wantint to get up😂 oh well, its only a 30 min then 2 hour flights.
Can you fly with a newborn that’s 1 month old
yes dear, we flew with our son when he was 2 months old..
How old was your baby?
Isnt it said to be bad for a baby to be seated for too long in a car seat? Referring to both Doona but also the flight itself.
Yeaaaaaa
I made the mistake of booking a red-eye. He kept people awake crying.
Too long
My boy took his baby on a commercial flight when the baby was 1 week old! Lmao. They had just picked up the baby from the surrogate.
