Yeah especially the Yutani Corp. Now we all know who merged the Weyland Industries into an conglomerate company in history & that is how it began. The start of the Alien franchise (Original).
We have hates on the movie, but I assure you Wolf is one of my favorite Yautja.

I loved both of the AVP movies unlike most people (I think AVP: R is understandably hated mainly due to the crappy filming, but personally I got passed that). I'd love a third installment. The alien/predator universe is so dark, terrifying and immensely cool.

It was to bring back Rated R from the last AVP which was Rated PG-13. Other than the R standing for Requiem it was also a side pun to say AVP Rated R this time. Hahahaha 👌✌️
That alternative ending would have been a saving grace for AVPR. It would also have tied nicely into how human got in to space etc, so I think the studio should have had the guts to follow through!

AVP:R pretty much destroyed any potential for more. It can only really be saved by retcon or a massive reboot but it could be done

The script I’ve heard about from the early 90s would have been the best script for fans it it most of what the fans have been craving since the comics and video games first started
Requiem felt more like a teen slasher movie, a big let down.
It's one way to kill the AvP series early.

I think the third ending with the predators attacking an alien KING would have been incredible if done right. I definitely would see that.
I don't know about the alternate ending, but I think the movie does do justice to explain how the WY corp knew of the alien and using the predator gun as a basis for how humans achieved space travel by the end of this century as shown in Prometheus.
This was one of the only moments from AVP:R that I liked. I always figured that Wolf's gun was the key to how we broke the interstellar travel barrier in the timeline of the Alien movies.
One of the great things in this movie was the predator character itself. Such a beast throughout the movie, went out like a fallen champion in the end. Lol I really do wish they made him live though. Lol predators die too damn much.

I would have loved to see that idea on the big screen. I think if Requiem would be more bright so we could actually see the creatures it would have been slightly better received than it was. I will give the Strauss brothers massive credit because the Wolf Predator was an absolute boss! The best depiction of the hunter probably ever (as much as I love the first one, Wolf was awesome looking). And the Pred Alien was also a nice concept. I guess it can still happen some day. I'm sure we'll see another AVP movie down the line. Hoping Shane Blacks The Predator does well.

So the AVP movies had humans getting their hands on Predator technology and then reversed engineered it to become a space traveling species like in Alien 1? That's actually pretty cool.
As much as I love this idea, this movie was not worth having just to get to this movie idea.
It was executed badly, and the story was terrible. It started with the super-advanced Predators not checking a corpse of a Predator that encountered eggs for a Xenomorph embryro.. Then a Predator shooting a hole IN HIS OWN SHIP. The rest just sucked.

Requiem was horrible it was shot to dark. You can barely see anything because of how they filmed it.

I agree with being too dark, I first watched the movie on an old tube television, literally couldn't see dick for the majority of the film. Even on my modern flat screen with settings adjusted it's still hard to see shit. They must've watched the test film with Night Vision on.

Just watch Alien, that manages to be dark and you are clearly able to see things, and that was released over twenty years prior to AVPR
That ending sounds FRICKEN AMAZING! Now I do want a 3rd movie if they would do it right. We had too much exposition in the first movie and not enough action in the first one, and then too much time with the boring human characters in Requiem and not enough story telling to lead somewhere with the events.
They reversed engineered the plasma caster to make a jump in technology and making deep space travel possible but never bothered replicating the actual plasma caster itself??? Humans in Prometheus and Covenant and the Colonial Marines in the Aliens franchises all still use projectile weapons, and those movies take placevin the future 🤔
I liked avpr. Also the government recovered many artifacts from Predator 2. Look at what got left behind from the battle between the a predator vs harrigan

Watch The Predators or whatever in 2018 it sucked. But the artifacts left behind (spear tip, the spear, the medical kit the predator used in the old lady's apartment, the chopped off predator arm with guantlet.
How about the fact there was a shuttle/craft from the Yautja that was on Earth...THAT to me would be the baseline for advanced space travel...
They need to do a sequel for the AVPR. I liked where it was going as far as the storyline & it would be great to have seen the alternate ending for the movie to begin with, I liked the storyline & it gave me a look into the Predators home world & I'd like to see the female predators because how there could be males without females. I'd even like to see more of the various Predator clans as well.
if the movie you describe is made, it'll make a bigger comeback than Devil May Cry 3

Absolutely, I Liked Both AVP Movies, The 2nd Was So Dark, You Couldn't See Anything, And Lot Of People Hated It For That, And Yet I Would Still Love To See The 3rd AVP Movie.
Avp2 was a BIG let down. I expected the mother ship to end up on the predator home world. The ship opens and these hybrid aliens come out, only a few predators survivors. Into the future we go and the war continues, humans find this planet and help the surviving predators to take back their home world. Even include hybrid Ripley. They helped us, we help them...
AVP 3 and this time with *MAXIMUM LIGHTS*

Evan Tobias AvP and AvP:R were made by fans of the franchise and they didn't turn out so well.
Velancious it was more so to fit on the Predator timeline rather than the Aliens. A stark contrast to what has been established in the AvP comics, games, and books.

Big problem with this pitch. The ONLY Alien king was a human creation. Unless they changed the script to include a queen or the queen mother, I doubt it would've worked.
Rogue is not a king but genetically engineered Xeno, what they were most likely going for with AVP3 is a real King and naturally born one.
Thank you Hybrid Network! Why won't those idiots in Hollywood produce what the fans want to see? Predator/AVP set into the future, where sometimes we fight side by side with a few Yautjas. They could have put Arnold Schwarzenegger in as a quick cameo at the very end of Requiem, to tie into the next Predator/AVP movie .

The humans using the Predator tech to launch themselves into the Alien timeline's tech was exactly what I thought happened in that movie, does it really need explaining?
In a way I like AvPR but I felt they took the wrong route with the second movie I enjoyed the first I hated that practically all the Predators died in their first encounter with the aliens but in the end I did enjoy it requiem on the other hand had promise but you couldn't see anything only thing great was the old predator. So yeah I would love that ending but you probably could not see anything in it lol

J7 A26 The movies are not meant to be connected. AvP is its own universe, a "what-if" story. Ridley Scott is deliberately not addressing the AvP movies in his prequels. Like old Star Trek and the JJ-verse.

David created them. God, Ridley has already said this in numerous interviews, it's in the blu ray directors commentary, it's in the David's lab video on the blu ray. The novel is bullshit.
In the novel for Alien, the facehugger doesn't have digits but is like a squid and has a egg, the eggs are different in the novel than the actual film, along with numerous other differences. THE NOVELS ARE NOT CANON. The FILMS ARE. Deal with it already. David 8 CREATED THE ALIEN, it is NOW CANON. The Alien Homeworld is NOW PLANET 4 since THEY WERE CREATED THERE WITH THE BLACK PATHOGEN AND SHAW'S EGGS.

I like the idea but people would have just complained it was a rip-off of the terminator movies. Cant remember the name of the novel but I would love to see a movie about humans on a 'vacation' planet where the predators infiltrate to stop a company from making hybrid aliens.

How to fix AVP for a reboot. Set it in the future, after Aliens, before 3, for references to Hadley's Hope incident. Keep humans minimal, a small squad of marines is more than enough (4-8). Don't name it AVP, but something vague, yet familiar. One predator, no human team up bullshit. No Predalien. No mythological shit.
It makes sense & I like it.

i read a comic once about predator and it was set back in ancient china where a man finds a downed ship and =keeps it hidden and yadda yadda skip like so many years and yutani an wayland corps merge as the reverse engineer the pred ship now whilst doing it they find a cargo hold break in and yep theres eggs whilst reading it also went on to say that this company and governments figured out that war time caught the interest of the predators so they where able to watch them, later on it goes on to explain that the man who first found the ship tried removing its Armour and other bits and doing so killed the unconscious being but then relized through reverse engineering he was able to extend his own life span etc etc it went on but

Prometheus didn't fuck any timeline up. David didn't create the Xenomorph, confirmed in Prometheus, in the Prometheus Weyland Files, and in the Alien: Covenant David epilogue.
Also, confirmed by Predator 2, AVP, AVPR and The Predator that David didn't create them.
The official Weyland Timeline actually has a slight reference to AVP in October 2004.

I actually liked the movie the Predalien, Wolf, the brutal gore and watching xenomorphs in earth my only complain is that yeah there are some scenes so dark that you can't see but if you can forgive that you get and awesome gory spectacle with your favorite creatures :)

The only thing that the AvP excels over Prometheus/Covenant universe as the Prequel to the Alien series is the idea the plasma gun captured from the Predator in AvPR represents the technological catalyst that will be reversed Engineered to serve as the interstellar travel engine in WY ships!
While Ridley Scott sequels do not explain how humans will be able in late 21st century to achieve interstellar travel !!

AVPR is a masterpiece compared to the first AVP. They went straight for the gore and blood in AVPR and didn't hold back like they did in AVP. Also, AVP took FOREVER for the Alien and Predator to finally come face to face.

AvPR was like another installment of Diary of a wimpy kid, with Alien and Predator cameos. That ending definitely would have helped the movie alot.

Dutch and Callahan are both called into action, since they are the sole survivors of run-ins with Predator (the black chick froze to death waiting to be rescued). They assist the secret organization that confiscated the plasma-caster, go to Area 51 and encounter Dr. Freak (doofus with the long hair). yadda, yadda, yadda. A mission is launched to eradicate BOTH species on their home worlds. Go, Dutch and Callahan!

If you think about it, obtaining Wolf's gun turned out to be a huge factor with Weyland-Yutani's future obsession in finding any evidence of extraterrestrial life forms in the far reaches of space *cough* Alien prequels xD
If they ever make an AvP3, it needs to sorta be a reboot and a continuation of the AvP series and DEFINITELY must be set in the future either around the timing of the Alien prequels or after Aliens. Explaining the sole purpose of Weyland-Yutani's intentions with the Xeno/Yautja species.
That would have been a really cool movie to see I would have shelled out the money to see it in theaters

Alien versus Predator Requiem pretty much killed the notion of ever mixing the two franchises again. The Darkhorse comics were atrocious, but the second AVP movie proved even worse. They should never try that again without first apologizing to both Alien fans and Predator fans.
Ok..I kinda figured AVP R was a prequel to the alien movie, however in Alien didnt they not know what they were ow where they originally came from, im only talking about the movies as cannon, not about anything to do with any comic books..
