The Yautja killing himself at the end isn't just out of shame it's to remove evidence of their visit and make sure we don't get their tech.
Frank Kunene especially their Tech the very jealousy guard that Tech because the pentagon's not interested in prevented cures for cancer and all that crap the Pentagon is only interested in weapons technology if you saw an APV the tech was so classified by the military that only high-ranking generals had to escort that government agent with that Tech in the briefcase secure to handcuffs that's how much priority they put on it that no lieutenant or Captain would be there to escort that off World Tech it had to be done by those high-ranking generals they were armed it to to the CEO of Weyland-Yutani Corporation other than high-ranking generals they did not want to let that Tech out of their hand
100% correct that is the base line for the new movie basically this new predator has human dna and acts more human he brings the humans a juggernaut suit to prevent the predators from taking over earth since they know earths humans are going to be extinct due to global warming the new elite humans are the ones that have autism and they want there spinal fluids to produce more super predators so this hybrid predators with they call “ traitor “ brings the humans the juggernaut suit
Giovanni Gamez dude don't spoil the movie
why do you think the agency in predator 2 and the predator want their tech.
Why not both
It seems half the fans usually miss this. The Predator doesn't just explode himself for an honourable death, it's also to make sure any lifeforms don't get ahold of their technology.
Mini pie they have multiple reasons for self destructing.
- mortally wounded, they must punish themselves for not winning and not being the best warrior
- to destroy all evidence/technology associated with there existence, so others cannot use it against them
- to make sure that since they lost the fight that they are going to kill everything with it so that there are no winners so to speak
Is this actually shown in any comics? This is the second comment I've seen saying this, and to my understanding, it's simply not true.
In AVP, the Ancient gave Lex a Combistick as an honorary reward for helping kill the Xenomorph Queen.
@@notinuse298 This is due to her showing that she is worthy and that the Yautja considered her one of their own since she was marked with the symbol.
The Convict Predator in the newest movie "Predator" gave the humans the "Predator Killer", reason for this one though was an illegal move, it wasn't supposed to be given since the predator was a convict.
In AVP I remember hearing something about the movie being directed by someone else who didn't make the original predator movies so that's probably why
@@notinuse298 pretty much what Hans Landa said. It was for multiple reasons, most of the time they self destructed to be sore losers and to destroy evidence of their existence. Sometimes it was honorary where they would let them get away before self destructing but alot of the time they did it because they don't want people getting their technology if they can't be trusted with it. The Yautja only give those who are worthy; their technology
Thank you. Someone who understands. I would've thought that this was obvious but you know humans.
The fact that we’re considered dangerous game is awesome
Only some, not all. Probably such a small fraction that’s so far out of your league
Torrious Washington he’s just bein real
They call us the best "soft meat" prey and many of them have a respect for human technology and capabilities
Yes, the small percent such as special forces as seen in the original predator. Only because of our technology. Hand to hand, any predator would be able to take out any human in their sleep.
Well, we're literally causing the last mass extinction. Not bad ;)
I want to see a movie based soley on the predator homeworld and their culture. No humans.
Lit
It would be cool but how the hell would we understand them and we wouldn’t even be able to see any actors, we would have to read subtitles all through out the movie. But it would be pretty cool
@@theinfluencer2109 yeah, there are a few cons, but dammit it would be worth it, I think.
Yeah right, Hollywood would die before it didn't cast A list actors.
that would ruin their mystique.

Predators are one of my favorite characters but they’ve been the victim of bad writing in movies. They could be so much more. Maybe an hbo or Netflix original could do them justice
They just have not been able to get it right. It's almost tragic.
I'd rather have an Animated Series since it wouldn't need highly paid actors/actresses to market it, and it would mean that we can have a narrative that is focused on the Predators themselves without relying on the existence of human of any form.
More like a disney plus series
Weaponized Autism.
They actually did that...
I'm just curious: what would you like to see in a predator movie to do them justice?
Someone needs to make this a game. The name is simple. Predator. Its a create character game offline and online. Clans/groups, raids, hunts, many planets big maps, you start as young blood and lvl up to final part. This would be a perfect game
AdiSk TheTH-camr There is a Predator game
Damien Weirdo i think he ment a new type of predator game
AdiSk TheTH-camr GREAT IDEA
I don't know what to put ye
And then there will be the Chinese cheaters.
The requirements for clan leaders sounds like a mythic raid description
New Quest: Clan Leader Rank Up
Requirements: 3 Queen Skulls

Its good to know the Yautjas have an honor code. Like how they spared the girl from the first movie, and Weyland from the Aliens vs Predator movie because he had a chronic sickness. I hope they spare asthmatics like me too :')
Honor is indeed a virtuous value. Some humans have it too.
In one of the comics, a young Yautja killed a human child in an effort to get some cred, it's supervisor immediately & literally butchered for violating the honour code.
@@gingermcgingin1733
Woah which comic was this
Commenting for the comic
@@gingermcgingin1733 give us the comic bro
The Yautja, imo were one of the most unique alien groups to come into cinema in a long time. They don't look just like every other gray alien on-screen or reptilian, their culture is pretty complex too, ethics, a code of honor and class system. I've got to get back into the books one day.
They remind me of three other races, the Spartans, the Saiyans, and the Horde from The Scorpion King. I guess also, the Clerics from the movie Equilibrium.
The biggest plot hole in all of the first Predator is the mud masking, it would hide your body heat while it was wet and cool, but not your breath. The heat vision would pick up your breathing as warmer than the air around it as a consistent anomaly in the middle of the jungle.
Thats a good point!
Depending on the climate and environment
That's a good point but I would think because the jungle has a much more warmer temp. that it would inhibit the heat sensor from seeing the breath coming from him given the surroundings.
Good point but could be explained by Dutch holding his breath maybe?
Dutch hold his breathe
I always thought the bomb on their wrist was more to prevent discovery/proof of their existence than ritual suicide.
@trembling colors
It is but not a lot of people know that
Yep i agree. In avp 2 the predator has blue liquid matter and he clean all proofs behind him.
@@rey6450 i loved that
AvP: Requiem fucked me up. As badass as the Alien/Predator hybrid was, I couldn't sleep after watching the movie.
@@rey6450 Not behind him, only after the alien attacks. He didnt use it on anyone that he killed. He skinned someone and left it there.
The number of Elite predators makes me less worried about their capabilities, and more concerned about the number of xenomorph queens there are/were out there to elevate that many living predators to elite status.
Fucking facts. 15% killed at least one 5% killed at least 3 or more.......And had to clear out a nest of 300 + xeno's. How many of those fuckers are they breeding to keep up with the demand.
Well, if Predators have been deliberately breeding Xenomorphs on God knows how many planets across galaxies and considering how quickly Xenomorphs can multiply, I'd say it's totally possible there may be tenths of thousands queens.
@@poochyenajones1362 the thought of that many queens across the cosmos is a terrifying concept.
Tbf they live for hundreds to over a thousand years so it doesn’t have to be that many and most are several centuries old when they become elite predators.
Maybe not all Predator tribes hunt xenomorphs?
UNBLOODED: 25%
BLOODED: 45%
ELITE: 15%
CLAN LEADERS: 5%
BAD BLOODS: 2%
Ancients: 8%?
I dunno, the dude didn't specify.
What about civilian/military Yautjas?
@@Mr.BobGray they would be 3%
@@annieareyouokay1411 Thanks. Percentages weren't exactly my favorite aspect of mathematics.
He said 15% of BLOODED whatchathings are elite. So 15% of the 45%. He obviously left out a large percent of their population.
The thumbs down are from Xenomorphs.
haha
drewbee86 I know

Each Xenomorph has four thumbs. So 1 xeno downvote = 4 human downvotes.
I think that's how it goes.
drewbee86 fucking xeno’s man...
or alien fans. but srsly, who admires xenomorphs? they work like mindless creatures, like ants, dont have cool tech, are a disgusting result of stupied humans, and dont have an awesome honor-driven hunting bases society.
So, Sigourney Weaver would be considered a straight up bad ass among the predators.
They'd probably consider her apart of the clan :) All them xenomorph kills. I mean she also practically wiped out a hive single-handed in Aliens with Newt in the other arm!
she wiped out the entire xeno species for while, she would be the clans queen.
She would be a clan queen. Lol they would just bow down and praise her for killing hundreds of xenomorphs.
They'd kill her after giving birth to the hybrid..and being a clone
@@matthewrolls9426 Sigourney Weaver is a badass, apologize :v
Shoutout to Kevin Peter Hall, the original 1987 Predator who stood at an amazing juggernaut height 7”3. Played the role damn good.
Not only that , the very first predator was maned by an African American!! But nobody wants to acknowledge that!!! It was a great feat in 1986 !!! R.i.p mr. HALL , truly a class act!

And I agree, I feel we don't hear enough praise for the actors behind the scary costume.

I hope one day someone does a proper Predators movie where it's POV is centered from the Predators and not the humans.
Jose Angel Hernandez I could see this being an animated show perhaps but I doubt they'd ever do this via live action

Tony Rocksi we use wood to build. Think about that
Yeah but you don't build on one branch.
That why they are adaptable hunter
Seems legit.
My theory: Their scanners can analyze stronger limbs that can sustain their weight. They have biometric scanners, so id assume they'd be able to see healthier limbs and plan accordingly.
How do they kill a whole hive of Aliens when their weapons always melt when killing one?
After Yautjas become blooded, they're given access to more advanced close range weaponry that are immune to the acid blood of the xenomorph.
Plus they have plasma cannons that are great ranged weapons it can end a xenomorph with one shot two shots minimum
@@tjw6812 do you mean 2 shot maximum cause if it's a two shot minimum then it's going to always take 2 shots
Plus an unblooded only has to kill one xenomorph to obtain his full arsenal, so there’s no need for it to last any longer
Idfk
Predators (2010) is chock full of absolutely magnificent one liners!! Awesome!!
Im not 100 percent sure this is true. but dont the Yautja only kill armed prey, because unarmed prey is dishonarable
Most Yautja dont kill unarmed Prey, but there are some who lack honor :)
Well, Arnold Schwarzenegger had a rock in that last clip. I think that’s why Predators use stealth to observe their targets first. To see if their target can fight. Then they hunt the target, regardless if it has any weapons available.
FilmComicsExplained xenomorphs are technically unarmed. I think it's more accurate to say they don't kill prey that can't fight back
I think its more like, they dont hunt prey that cant defend itself like if they were disabled or sick.
Gary Mcmillan
xenomorphs are technically biologically engineered weapons so it is okay to hunt them as prey. Their mouths, claws, tails, and blood all are used as weapons against what they are fighting not to mention they are cunning as well.

For sure!
Imagine if an unblooded come back from a trial with three queen heads and he’s all like “ bitch pay me”

He'd be praised and made an elite hunter, but the next hunt he participated in would be even more dangerous. Assuming they more attuned to tradition, than they would seek an even more dangerous target.
Highly informative man, except that you forgot how they were able to be in the Mortal Kombat tournament 😤😁
Thats for the next video haha
Ty I'd say the Predator in the game feels that the ones in the tournament are worthy opponents since he always claims a trophy from them when he wins
One was also in a Superman comic.
Ty Alien and Predator should have been in Injustice 2.....
JOSH CHIMICH in wildlands it was just a simulation of arnold's squad

Funny
Would you like to play this game if it existed.
You play as a predator and start as unblooded. The tutorial teaches the player the controls and rules. I thought it would be cool if as a player you could roar to lure prey toward you and kill unseen. There will be no fall damage because the fall 80ft without killing themselves and can double jump but upgrade to a triple jump.
At the end of the tutorial you kill a xenomorph and take the head back to the clan leader and become blooded and get 100 currency. Once blooded the game transforms into an open world game like mass effect and travel to planets to hunt. You could play with two others like destiny and rise through the ranks. As you rise through said tanks you are given access to more advanced weapons like shoulder cannon and a combi stick. You can acquire these by taking their skulls and exchanging them for money. You could also use the skulls to upgrade your predator like giving a triple jump ability or silent footsteps.
I thought it would be fun if the game had two ends like dishonoured. For example, the good end finishes with the player as a clan leader. The bad end happens if the player kills those who cannot defend themselves, basically, civilians. This causes the player to become a bad blood and sentenced to execution.
Imma be honest this is an excellent idea. If I was a game creator I would totally work on this with you
Anthony Ellis thanks
Pretty good idea dawg
Ali Zein thank you
I would definitely play a game like this.
Just imagine Mandalorians from the Mandalorian Wars in Starwars and Yautja meeting up. Two great warrior peoples facing each other for honor and glory in battle.

Thanks i've always been interested in the lore of the Yautja
The Dark Derp Check out some of the books by Tim Lebbon he covers tons of canon lore on both Yautja and Xenomorphes I think you might enjoy them.
Always wondered about the possibility of a Yautja adopting a human child to raise as their own. Like say the sole survivor of an Alien outbreak.
The reasons they have their honor system is to balance their morality with their technological power, and not to be considered "bad blood".
Or you know they were always a honor driven hunting society...Or do you think their extreme honor driven hunter society suddenly came around after gaining technology.....Or their extremely advanced technology was spawned miraculously at the birth of their species ? Tech certainly had a impact since unblooded must finish their first hunt with basic melee weapons, and the weapons of the warrior caste are not allowed to be used on hunts (except a hunt fails so miserable it shifts to an all out war) but they always had honor during hunts for sure.
Sorry dude. Self destruct is a technology denial system. They honour a creature that wins. They will let them go or even take them into the tribe. See: Preditor 2 and the comics about a human woman that was blooded.
Exactly!
So running under the assumption that someone as scrawny as me wins against a predator (a 0.000000001% chance, I did the math), I get cool weapons that enhance my capabilities? Sounds cool
@@DMDarren until you're forced to go on a hunt

AvP2 was shit though
@@crippledbrainwave I know. They could have made them all alot better after Aliens and Predator 2.
When they didn't hire James Cameron to do Alien(s) 3.
I actually clapped when this was over as if I was watching a good movie!! Such an excellent explanation! I've been saying the same things for years as an avid predator and alien fan!
Predators and Xenomorphs are easily some of the most famous alien species in movies, games and comics
Yeah combining the two franchise was genius too bad that they made it PG-13
So much savagery but no scientists in their ranks. A civilization can never be as technologically advanced as theirs without intellectuals.
Thats a great point Richard.
Could be a relegated duty to build. During the rise in tech, they would have had more builders, but at a certain point, they can assign AI, younglings, etc., to do their bidding. I would assume they keep their greater gear to the higher ranks because the higher ranking would tend to be the more intellectual and would have built these items, perhaps as just another toy to tinker with, like a Jedi lightsaber but without devotion to one simple tool.
they operate as a society like those with technology bestowed upon them by someone else tbh
maybe the females are mostly scientists, engineers and other non combat/hunt related stuff. rumor has it that they are also larger then the males.
I've heard that there are scientists in predator society, according to predator lore. But they only make 5% or less of the Yautja population on their home world. The number is so low, 'cause as everybody knows, they live for the hunt and not for science...
The Yautja are basically living a real life RPG! I want to play this RPG.
Scar Predator has always been my favourite.. The gear he had looked badass as hell
A movie based on the yautja prime and their culture would be dope but also I'd love to see machiko naguchi storyline and how she lived and hunted with the predators
It was actually Steve Wang that designed the Predator. Steve was Stan Winston's secret weapon of creature design. Great vid!

I think the Yautja in Predator 2 had some sort of birth defect, possibly even imbred. It explains why the creature needs to eat so much in comparison to other Preds, and why it needs a respiratory device to breathe easily, something other Yautja's haven't needed.
Also it got yeeted by Danny Glover.

That would be the shortest film ever!! They land on Yautja Prime and die within seconds. The End. lol
Now that Disney own 20th century Fox, a decent Predator film looks unlikely.
ok they already have weapons of mass destruction. now they only need oil too to get an invasion going.
dagoelius that's not true! The main predator character will just be female lol.
FilmComicsExplained not really, humans can combat their invisibility by giving every soldier a visor (similar to google glass) which tells them a predator's location by either thermal sensors of some other sensor like electromagnetic one, then they need to get guns which can kill them easily, like a plasma rifle. Also some kind of exo suit/mechanically assisted armour to be on par with their strenght and to defend from their attacks
This was really really good. Thanks you
So interesting. I never knew there was this much lore behind them.
I'd love to see a reference of the Yuatja in the upcoming sequel to Alien: Covenant. Be awesome if David comes into contact with the Yuatja this allowing him to complete his vision. The Yuatja see him somewhat worthy and see that his studies and intelligence of creating the perfect creature strongly follow what their species achieved thousands of years before. They grant him his final piece of his vision, their own, more advanced species of the Xenomorth, an single Xenomorth egg containing a Queen hugger.
