Tudor Pelagos 39 | This Watch is a Beast | 4 Month Update

- Today I want to discuss my experience with the Tudor Pelagos 39, and talk about how it's performed over the last four months of near constant use. I've worn this watch nearly every day since I first purchased it. I've worn it to the office, hiking, the gym, the range, the ocean, and around town as my every day piece. It has clear signs of use from the accumulation of a lot of scratches. This watch is grade 2 titanium, meaning that it is softer than stainless steel, thus making it more scratch-prone. I don't see that as a negative thing however, and I believe firmly that watches should be worn and used for their intended purpose. Scratches are an inevitability with this watch and if you don't like getting scratches, this watch isn't for you. However, if you're a serious individual that does serious things, and want a watch that reflects that about you, this is the one you're looking for.

I’m saving up to get this hopefully in the spring. I love watching owner reviews like this. Much better than some reviewer that wore it for an hour before starting their review
If you're wearing it in tandem with a garmin its basically jewelery that gets better with wear and tear. I do agree that the wear and tear adds a certain something to a tool watch. I am considering a titanium watch for this reason.
The Pelagos 39 is my very first Tudor. I enjoy it so much I even wear it to sleep. It's that comfortable.
I love Pelagos 39. I have a the black fxd and ranger, but I wanted something under the radar, as Tudor has become very popular. I ended up buying a Squale Master 120 Atmos. I've never had a Squale before, but I'm very pleased with fit a d finish. It's very hard to beat for the price.
Got mine in late July and wear it with pride - it’s a high quality tool that fits my lifestyle 100% 👍
It’s my fave watch that I own and would happily have it as my one watch collection if I had to. Also..those scratches can all be removed with an Ink erasure..10 mins and it’s like new.
I've got an Aerospace i've had for 20+ years. Got scratches/dings and to me they all tell a story.
Enjoy mine but thinking of an FXD black. Great video!
Love that one too. It’s a pretty serious watch. Fixed lugs/strap bars are where it’s at
I own one and love it . The only negative is the bad lume on the watch hands .
Titanium is much harder than steel? It has a hardness HRC 90 compared SS HRC of 316 of 62 316L has a hardness of 95 so to call titanium soft is ridiculous. The scratches are caused by oxidisation, basically the watch gets darker and when even lightly scratched it becomes more visible.
I heard the COSC tolerances are slightly tighter on this movement. Apparently they tuned it further. Fact check if I’m wrong.
I certainly believe that statement
The Tudor standard for MT movements are -2 / +4
Love the 39 but my fxd has my heart rn
i have two tudors and this one is on my list to have...
Those are nice! bought my first Tudor in April 😎
Congrats bro!

Very cool watch. It’s too bad the lume falls out of the bezel on pelagos model
When that happens I won’t replace the bezel. I think it looks cool when it gets that worn
That was the case on the OG 42 model not on the 39. I am more curious if Tudor is gonna fix the lume brightness of the hands in comparison to the lume blocks on the dial
Hi Morgan! Wonderful video, thank you very much. It's very appealing.
I wanted to ask you, what watches do you think would be a good alternative to this Tudor Pelagos?
I can't go over 1000 euros and I'm struggling to find a good alternative with a very similar design and robust purpose.
I'm curious to hear your opinion on this or even on another watch you'd buy for 1000 euros. Have a nice evening 😁
Check out Sinn watches.
Agreed. Those would probably be your best bet and they share a lot of characteristics with the Pelagos line
@@WornDownCrownthank you both for your answers! And what about the Hamilton Expedition? 🤔
@@Vanoual I've never owned one but I've had a few models in hand before and I personally love the 37mm size on the bracelet. I think it's a really handsome watch.
Just buy the San Martin version of this if you like it.
Comes in 3 colours, titanium, micro adjust and has a date option too.
When a military guy says “business trip”. Another solid vid. 🫡.
