At age 68, been doing this routine daily for 9 months. It’s simple, convenient, and engenders a fluid sense of well-being. Doesn’t require special equipment or a dedicated exercise venue. I added the “scooping water” on inhale, arms carrying upward then fanning out to the sides on exhale that I came across in another Jeffrey Chand video. I do it after the squat exercise as it seems to flow naturally out of that position. His emphasis on the importance of doing this everyday for beneficial results hit home and I have adopted this routine as a daily practice. When the weather allows, I go out to the back yard as it seems outdoor practice enhances the energy harvest, as it were. It’s particularly magical under the moon and stars. It doesn’t feel like a duty or a burden but a refreshing interlude. Thank you, Jeffery Chand.

am 63 and have been sick since an op 30 yrs ago left me with a western illness fibromyalgia although iv avoided all westerner medications and only used natural balms, iv never found any form of exercise that dosent lay me out for days in pain ,until Qigong , since starting to meditate and doing some Qigong moves am feeling so much better in my mind and body , finding the right routine has been difficult, but this one is so clear and easy to follow thank you , this is going to be my daily one from now on , although i may need to reduce the amount of repetitions to start with , i dont get so much brain fog either and when i cant remember something ,instead of getting angry and stressed , i go quite close my eyes and it comes to me , thanks so much for helping us . westerners health does not come in a bottle , in comes from within and although iv always known this , find Qigong and the buddist teachings has confirmed it for me . GOD bless , many thanks .

During this video my shoulder finally let go something made a crunch sound and my arm finally moves properly after months of ache. I watched one video and my back popped open and I was so happy I laughed and nearly cried. It was locked for a month with stinging pain. Hang in there, Kata! Same type of problem here. Good news is that Jeffrey’s kind and generous routines ALWAYS help, to one degree or another. So that’s really excellent.
Quick question, with disclaimer. (Not a doctor, don’t play one on t.v., etc.) But...have you ever tried a significant increase in your magnesium intake? I personally have been dealing with Fibromyalgia symptoms, such as painful muscles, muscle cramps etc. for the past eleven years or so, and am always seeking helpful routines/supplements. I have been told by several doctors (o.k., chiropractors) that MOST people are profoundly lacking in the minerals that support our muscular/skeletal systems. And one of the greatest deficiencies is that of magnesium. Please do some research, and remember that magnesium comes in several different chemical compounds, and too much can also be harmful (causing diarrhea). I personally take a product I found on Amazon - no financial interests - called Triple Magnesium Complex. Hope this is helpful!
      😊
      God’s Blessings to All!

Thank you for all your intro videos I have now signed up for your 7 day free trial and am paying for the course afterwards. These exercises are certainly unblocking my stagnant Chi as my energies are working more favourably in my life which considering the environment I am living in presently is amazing and sustaining me through very difficult situations. Here where I live we have had very, very high air pollution which hits me as I live with a genetic lung condition that has got worse as I got older, however I am managing without hospital intervention - which is none basically!!! Thank you I am enjoying my new life at 78 years, my energy from this practice just overrides the disadvantages I am experiencing.

Just found this today. I went to a Qigong workshop for the second time yesterday . I am able to easily do these routines while I found Tai Chi impossible to do in the past. I am 73 and have worked out with free weights for 41 years and been a runner and cyclist for longer than that. I am glad to be able to enter this new experience with these wonderful videos. Thank you,

I really enjoyed this routine! I also began doing more yoga. My workouts typically consist of going to the gym. I lift weights, do cardio, and core work. I’m currently traveling overseas with my husband, so it’s not really convenient to go to a gym, so I find workouts on TH-cam. I’ve been wanting to change up my routine anyway. My main focus right now is to improve my balance and flexibility. 😊

I stumbled on Qigong after watching "In Search Of: Super Humans" on the History Channel the other day. Having never heard of it before watching that show, I found myself very fascinated and went on to research it. I started watching videos and I even ordered a book. Then I came across your free video and decided to give it a try. I will try the free trial week to see what happens, and look forward to doing your routine again tomorrow upon waking. During the first move I felt some energy so it's encouraging. Thank you for making this video. You are relaxing and enjoyable to follow. Thank you :)

I love this short routine. Towards the end felt a little tingly in my thighs. I am going to practice this along with eating natural anti-inflammatory foods. I've noticed, that the better I eat, the better I feel and the better I feel, the less painful the headaches are. The less painful the headache is, the less aches I experience.

I've been practicing Traditional Kung Fu and Chi Kung for over 46 years now..
    It has been my life..
I found this site and started to practice along with it, since all my time is teaching and instructing others, with no time for me..however, this suits well..although isn't as with some of my ancient Gung Fu practice..but one mustn't have tunnel vision, so am pleased to see this Asian blooded man giving respect to a practice that gives good to life..
    God Bless you all..

Hi! I just have to say, this is amazing! I'm a martial artist, and do a lot of strength training as well. For the past two years I've been doing Ba Duan Jin, the eight brocades. But it's never made me feel as good as your simple routine. I've only been doing it a few days, but my wounds recover faster, I recover faster after a workout, and I sleep much better. This is awesome. I think I might do this routine from now on instead of the eight brocades.
    Thank you so much!

    • @ThinkVitalityQiGong
      @ThinkVitalityQiGong  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I like the 8 Brocades as well, but I have heard very similar experiences such as you mentioned. In the end, we just need to get the qi to move smoothly with the least amount of stress on the body and mind.
It sounds as if you are finding your way - keep it up!

I'm over 80 and a regular exerciser so pretty flexible, but this routine is a good way to stay flexible. Jeff has such a lovely vibe. Jeff, I have watched this video several times, listening carefully. I did not do it because I did not think I would be able to stand and do the movements without real pain and the real risk of falling. BUT, I have been doing a regular Ba Duan Jin practice for 3 weeks where I started sitting throughout. Slowly I have begun to stand. As I do it more and more I become more stable on my feet. I am not able to do it all standing just yet, but am closer and closer. That progress gave me the confidence to try this routine today. While I cannot squat far AT ALL, I was able to do this entire routine standing! My back feels alive and so do I! Thank you very much for posting these videos and for your website with even more!
