This premium smartphone boasts a number of upgrades compared with the standard OP8. For one, the camera optics have been overhauled. You now have a 48MP primary lens with IMX689 sensor, plus a telephoto lens and a 48MP ultra-wide shooter. The OnePlus 8 Pro can capture photochromatic pics, and HDR video too.
Speed isn't an issue, with the Snapdragon 865 platform bolstered by 8-12GB of DDR5 RAM. There's a mighty 4510mAh battery too, with wireless charging support. As for that mighty AMOLED screen, you get a QHD+ resolution with simultaneous 120Hz refresh support.

OnePlus downgraded our hopes with high prices and I think Snapdragon 865 could be a culprit in this.
@@samueloyem3044 ip68 wireless charging and mainly 5g that why it's high I wouldn't mind the ip68 but because of 5g and wireless charging high end camera apart from telephoto which is a trashy 8mp were others are 12 13 and Samsung at 64mp which is insane

So, by the time that price should reduce - there is no new phones in stock. Only used or restored.
You can expect some price drop if you buy it from China over AliExpress.

Awesome mobile. Still want to see Xperia 1 ii review before I decide. I really love Oxygen OS but love the front facing speakers, audio jack on Sony. Wonder how Xperia 1 ii cameras will do too. Especially astro shots

The sandstone case will break after a drop or few drops. The gel case it comes with is perfect. Thats the only style cases i use so im glad it comes with one.

All exceptionally good, except for that 5mp photo-chromatic lens, that can be done using main camera+editing tools, better quality and choice of mono color.

How do you find the green colour?
Wasn't initially too keen on it, but the more reviews I watch the more blue I think it looks.

can you still charge the 8 pro with that clear case on it ? or do I have to remove cases to wireless charge? i know some wireless chargers are picky about thickness of cases. any info is helpful :)

really disappointed that the OP8 pro has an overexposed low res front-facing camera and a red tone to all of its rear-facing cameras otherwise I would probably pre-order it, do you think they will fix these issues in future software updates?

Looks great but hate those screens that curve round the edge of the display, will be impossible to install a decent glass screen protector too, heck even one plus didn’t bother to install one on it, so you know it’s going to be a pain in the arse😂

Watching on my OnePlus 7T pro. Honestly doesn't feel much of an upgrade.
It definitely is a better all-rounder, but yeah no use upgrading from the 7T ( especially since curve)😂
Watching on my oneplus 7 pro which is exactly the same as 7t pro, but better looking. Still 8 pro has some advantages like much better camera and slightly better display with 120Hz. Not sure if that's enough to upgrade.

if you currently hold a flagship in your hands you don't need a new one bc you're buying more of the same. Now, the thing that most people should be doing is wait for the folding tech to evolve and lower its price so that you avoid buying more of redundant tech.
