Is there a benefit to installing a PC6 on a bone stock quad with the base map of all zeros? I plan to do other upgrades in the future (all in due time and money). I got one when they were on sale and don't know if I should install it on the quad or wait until it's needed.
You may as well wait, but if you really wanted to, you could install it with an "all zeros" map. Though, I bet you'd see some benefits from using a "canned" map setup on a stock quad, but ultimately, you'll want a custom tune, no matter what. 😉
I'll answer myself after some research. Yes, definitely the pc5 is a better unit with more capabilities (and less fake restrictions) than the "newer" pc6.

Hello I installed Power Commander 6 in r3 2020 and daynojet told me that they still don't have maps for a full exhaust and an open air filter. They told me that I need to go to the dealer. I bought from the USA.. and I'm from Israel. So you're telling me you can make me a map for this motorcycle?
You can contact any tuning center that has Pro permission.. if they have tuned a vehicle like yours with the same mods and have the tune in terrorist database..they can sell or send you the tune via email
Really borderline false advertising on Dynojet’s part. Nothing in the product docs on their site showed this new “feature”. Also they don’t have many PC6 maps compared to their current PC5 map collections. Thanks for the vid though helps explain it well. May hit you up a bit later for a map / map review.

It is too bad that they made the PC6 like this. The Power Commander line gets a bad wrap without adding more reasons to have problems with it.

Should I switch to regular atv / wet clutch 10w40 oil for new engine break in ? I read the synthetic is too slippery to seat rings

Yes. If the mod combination is something we have built or dyno tuned locally

Every pc6 needs mapping or it does nothing

You can find "canned" maps that might be close, but ultimately, you want your PCV or PC6 custom tuned to your machine/setup.
Does autotune work on pc5 and 6?
I have the PC5 version AT-200 and it works fine with PC6

you need to find someone in israel who has a dyno to tune it for you, you dont want some map off the net
