Small tip for the Trapmaker TT. If you never step on those wooden plates on the floor when carrying the keg into Sailor's Bounty the blades never turn on.
fun fact: you can keep grinding for treacherous plunder, ashen keys and wooden crates on the shores of gold pond, it will despawn pondies and keep spawning more fishes until you get treacherous plunders or other things

I started the shores of gold tale yesterday and made it as far as finding the shroudbreaker before I had to log off. (Right before I got ambushed by a couple of bully pirates who sunk my ship while ashore, AND sunk their own on purpose. Even though I had nothing to steal) I’m glad I have seen the inevitable disappointment that lies at the end of this quest. Now I know that there is nothing worthy of my time at the “Shores of Gold”

My first ever experience with pvp was during the Briggsy fight part of the shores of gold tall tales. Me and a friend had the skeleton chest and were about to unlock it when a brig comes out of nowhere, sinks us, and takes our chest. We go back to fight them for it, but since we are pretty new we fail. Afterwards, I immediately get invited to a party by the brig’s captain. The first thing that is said to me is, and I quote, “join party chat now (insert hard r n-word slur).” It was more funny than offensive, and tbh I was only really sad that we had to restart. Sea of Thieves players are very interesting.
