From 0 to 1 MILLION Gold in Sea of Thieves
Just in time for Season 12 and the release of Sea of Thieves on PS5, I decided to bring you my attempt at a Beginners Guide for 2024. Amidst many tips & tricks, I am going to teach you how to make your first fortune!
That's right. All the best gold farming methods that I recommend new players try out to make money FAST. Well, as fast as you can reasonably expect a new player to do it.
Farming gold can be a dangerous proposition because of the ever existing threat of PvP. Of course, playing on the high seas, this story will feature such gameplay and ways that I would recommend you can work around to try and give yourself the edge as you improve.
So fasten your pouches and raise your anchor because it is time for tips, tricks and a lot of gold.

8:59 brought my older brother who has never played the game before to an ashenlord boss fight and he did pritty good. We even sold all the loot without any fighting so i would say it went pritty well

Safer Seas is only good for Tall Tales and lollygagging/exploring the open world, not much else. But hey at least you won't be bothered by random ships while trying to get your gold curse.
I'm gonna be starting on PS5 soon so I might take my first hour or 2 in safer seas just to work out how everything works

thank you for the tips man I got sea of thieves on ps5 and now I just at reapers is level 22 and I got my mercury flag from reapers always up and I'm doing events like skelly forts and Skelly ships events and when im done I got like 280k from 1 hour or more in 1 hour and I always get my mercury flag level 5 until I sell so I get 150% more and I'm only playing a week I love your content and you helped me a lot in sea of thieves and I'm still watching you

Just a heads up for any new players: the example of play in this video doesn't specifically take into account his experience. He mentions it during bailing, but even his aim, his movement in combat, his micro-decisions with regards to where he drops loot for later (eg: all from the bowsprit, or on a rock for harpooning). These are techniques you'll learn only with experience, but keep heart. A lot of quality of life changes have been made since its inception, so take your lumps when they come and don't fall in love with your loot. While learning, dumb things will cost you your haul, and you may feel hopeless. Some may seem out of your hands (a skelly galleon is not as simple to scuttle when you don't know how to aim cannons), and others may feel unfair (a player one-balling you in the face only to sink your ship while waiting to load in).
It's a sandbox, and there's plenty of sand to play in (pun intended). Feel empowered to scuttle to a new server if you see a Reapers Bones ship or you're being relentlessly chased. Depending on how fast you learn and develop these winning techniques, it may take you a lot longer to reach 1mil gold. That's okay - there's no achievement associated with it except the bragging rights.
Sea of Thieves is equal parts danger and wonder, and if you get caught up in the lore, the emergent possibilities, and the thrill of the best ocean and ship management in the world (my opinion), you'll find hours upon hours of enjoyment.
And finally, you don't have to do it all yourself. You don't even need friends, but what Ledge didn't show you is at the top of your (main) mast, is a flag box. On the second page is a "Friendship" flag that, when flown next to another ship flying the same flag, will group you in a (however temporary) alliance. You can still be killed by them so don't drop your guard completely, but you may enjoy what's known as a server-wide alliance from time to time. This is when all ships band together yet still playing separately. Any gold made by any ship in the alliance is shared with the rest of the alliance. It's not super common (happened twice in about 1500 hours), but it's lucrative and "safe." It's a sandbox, after all, so be ready for anything. Welcome to the Sea of Thieves, and become more pirate!
I have been playing for not that long now so watching this video helped me understand the game a little more
Crazy what happend to me today, second day playing (~10hrs)a ship pulls up to an outpost they see me we do music than eventually i sneak pass the graple guy and took a 20k chest jumped off and ran he tried grapling me i got away went around the op and sold it. They were cool about told me to put up a aly flag so i got some money from the rest after that we troied and i made ~200k after a few hrs and got my first sloop. Just want to say shooting cannons is way harder than what people make it look😂☁️
