The most memorable experience I ever had in Sea of Thieves has to be when me and two friends had gone about and done a whole slew of quests. We were about ready to wrap up our completely safe and sound journey in our brigantene, when I said something along the lines of "You know what would be bad now? If like, a level 5 reaper Galleon arrived out of nowhere" Chuckling at such a preposterous idea... And no kidding, only like, a minute later, exactly THAT arrived and began hunting us down. I had effectively jinxed us. Luckily one of our people were rather experienced at the game and began out-maneuvering, getting us ahead, however the enemy still followed suit. We sailed around an island where we could sell the loot, we had stored everything in our rowboat, and set it down, rowing towards land with it as I sailed around the island with the ship. However, the Reaper galleon saw trough our attempted ruse and killed my buddy, who also had to leave, making it only me on the ship and my experienced buddy in the rowboat fending of the crew of the reaper galleon. The reapers got hold of our rowboat and loaded it onto their ship, as they sunk our own ship and killed me in the process. However my experienced buddy was still alive, and he was able to sneak onto the Reaper ship and get away with the rowboat full of loot. Meanwhile I had respawned with the ship some islands away, and I set sail to their position. I relayed information about locations from the map over to my buddy in the rowboat, as he attempted to get to the second closest island he could sell stuff at. However the Reapers had caught on, and was literally sailing their galleon after my friend's rowboat! I have been playing COD exclusively for a few years now. I'm done w/ activision's issues and picked a new game to master. Sea of Thieves is it. I've been looking for a good long video that shows someone learning the hardway like this. TY
My fav sentences from this vid: "Bro im in a rocking chair i cant do that." -Birdie (i think) "Xbox off!" -Cliff "What how? We literally took 0 damage" -Brandon
While I lack the context for the Athena emissary hatred, "I don't care, we sink them" is the biggest reason I only ever play sea of thieves for the short stints I do. 90% of my time is solo slooping for the merchant trade routes cause I liked their cosmetics and I enjoy sailing around alot and I'm utter trash at pvp cause I have very little experience and all my attempts at getting better last all of 5 seconds before I'm dead and spawn camped on my burning and subsequently sinking ship.
Me: sitting in my boat chilling and fishing These guys: I'm about to ruin that sloop's day Great video, love it! Not a PvP person in SoT, but it's cool to see that perspective!
I like how he's going on about the guy being a coward for using parlay as a means for an easy shot, while he was doing the same with a false alliance offer.
Cliff is a toxic pvp sweat, you just don't always notice it because he has such a charismatic personality. But make no mistake, he's constantly sinking people for no reason, making up every excuse for why he's doing it, etc. It's pretty pathetic, actually.
@@kevinghidorah2003 Reapers should definitely be doing PvP with no remorse. My point is that Cliff pretends that he plays as a “nice guy” and makes excuses for why he’s sinking people, but is actually just a toxic PvP sweat who is constantly trolling people. After watching this lovely video, I have the feeling that Reapers are the Klingons of Sea of Thieves, always looking for Honour, Battles, and Honourous Battles!
You say after he sinks a defenceless new spawn while they weren't even on their ship because of "principle" not to mention the solo slooper that had no loot for them that they sunk for fun. That is the definition of a toxic reaper player.
I love the content through and through and the story telling is top notch, but he strikes me as a person that never touched a non-pvp game in his life, and his apparent distaste for people that don't fight back is disappointing, good content for reaper mains tho
Yeah, his try hard shtick is wearing pretty thin on me. His storytelling is unparalleled but fuck man, not everyone is a fat sweat lord, some people like pve, get over it
@@Tiwey yeah, tbf that's pretty on par when it comes to pvp in SoT but that doesn't change the fact that it's BM. The pvp in SoT is fucking garbage anyway, so 2d and boring, no skill ceiling, just jumping around like a 10 year old adderall addict playing fortnite.
This game is honestly wild, I used to not like it as nothing much happened, but this is my second day back after months and we went on a crusade, pillaging, killing meg's and krakens, raiding forts, and having to take on 6 ships one right after the other while we sell our loot. And then proceed to take L's, rob players at gunpoint, and had an honorable duel at a bar before logging for the night. That day alone has made me love it once again
"Is EVERYONE in this game a coward" why give sociopath pvpers the satifaction of a fight?? They want strict pvo only? Petition and bully rare to giving back Arena
I can respect that you sailed a Passive Reaper voyage. I don't care how many sweaty tryhard idiots tell you that's not how the game is played, you have my Eternal respect for that
The fight around 1:30:00 is so good because it’s truly a pirate fight with both ships together and the decks are a battle field and chaos is everywhere

@bmg111 there was a long break in there. That's what puts the years up there
My fav sentences from this vid: "Bro im in a rocking chair i cant do that." -Birdie (i think) "Xbox off!" -Cliff "What how? We literally took 0 damage" -Brandon
The conclusion made me cry, life moves so fast, what a great video essay.
The effort put into the content really shows keep up the work👍
As a solo slooper, you terrify me, but I feel like I learn a lot watching your antics
this dude makes so good content. he has to get big soon
This is some pretty high quality content he should have way more subscribers
ngl your the best sea of thieves youtuber (comedically wise) in my opinion i love your content man
Me: sitting in my boat chilling and fishing
These guys: I'm about to ruin that sloop's day
Great video, love it! Not a PvP person in SoT, but it's cool to see that perspective!
Stealing YOUR fish levels my Hunters WAY faster than fishing myself. :)
“Hey cliff. Those two galleons are camping” that’s my favourite line!
you can do the ashen winds event really quickly if you spam the boss with cannonballs of a galleon by first luring it close to the water
Every time I see that game, I'm in love with the water detail
I like how he's going on about the guy being a coward for using parlay as a means for an easy shot, while he was doing the same with a false alliance offer.
Yeah this dude is definitely a bit of a gameplay hypocrite
@@T_Moneyzz classic reapers
Cliff is a toxic pvp sweat, you just don't always notice it because he has such a charismatic personality. But make no mistake, he's constantly sinking people for no reason, making up every excuse for why he's doing it, etc. It's pretty pathetic, actually.
@@scubasteve2189 man, a reaper sinking people just because they can? What are they, a pvp emissary?
@@kevinghidorah2003 Reapers should definitely be doing PvP with no remorse. My point is that Cliff pretends that he plays as a “nice guy” and makes excuses for why he’s sinking people, but is actually just a toxic PvP sweat who is constantly trolling people. There’s nothing wrong with that, just stop trying to pretend you’re something else.
I bought sea of thieves at launch got bored and stop playing it until last year when I saw you showing all the awesome new features that have been made since. It has quickly become my escape.
Loved the silly little banter , this is what I wish my friends had in mind when gaming . Not finding things to be bickering about!
I feel your pain, bro. I stepped away from my gaming group last year cuz all they did was bicker and troll whenever we played. Haven't gamed with them since.
33:31 I love that One Punch Man music lol
This whole video was a pretty dam good watch.
Just discovered your channel, and have binged the hell out of it. It's finally good to find some SoT content that's more than the creator just flexing how good as PvP they are.
Great narration, great editing and hilarious to boot. Looking forward to more content!
This man is probably the best sea of thieves youtuber I've ever watched
yes
Thanks for the awesome content!!!
My pleasure!
Just got the game on ps5 and saw your vids and I’m gonna say I’m a fan of yours now
I once participated in a map wide allience set up by a level five reaper galleon, which was very lucrative
Cliff: not to say I don't feel guilty sinking a solo slooper with no more than a few measley chests on board.
Also Cliff: Fresh spawn Athena rank one sloop? SINK IT.
The only way an Athena's gonna be a noob is alliance servers.
And they deserve worse.
11:44 “Retreater’s Bones” rolls off the tongue better
But retreating and running are two different things. Retreating is a tactic, running is cowardice.
Watching these videos are like hearing campfire stories, keep up the great work!
Someone give this man a medal 🏅
Will never cease to enjoy your content. Perfectly full of personality and theatrics xD

The first video I watched from you I subscribed straight away🤣
I like the content, and the name "the sea of tales" has a great ring to it, but I'm curious, what kept you from naming it "the tale of thieves"
Tale of thieves woulda been better tho
After watching this lovely video, I have the feeling that Reapers are the Klingons of Sea of Thieves, always looking for Honour, Battles, and Honourous Battles!
oh yea honour battle, sunk a guy afk in the outpost, sure.
Cheese and butter
8:49 “I did this” 😂😂😂😂
I like you you are the reapers that aren’t toxic and don’t run as soon as you see a ship
You say after he sinks a defenceless new spawn while they weren't even on their ship because of "principle" not to mention the solo slooper that had no loot for them that they sunk for fun. That is the definition of a toxic reaper player.
@Big Noob Complaining about pirates online rather than learning to stop being defenceless is the definition of cancer.
@@KopperNeoman mindlessly defending toxic players is the definition of cancer
We must have watched a different video. 😮
Ah I rember when I first watched this video and thus the legend of cliff began!
I love the content through and through and the story telling is top notch, but he strikes me as a person that never touched a non-pvp game in his life, and his apparent distaste for people that don't fight back is disappointing, good content for reaper mains tho
Yeah, his try hard shtick is wearing pretty thin on me. His storytelling is unparalleled but fuck man, not everyone is a fat sweat lord, some people like pve, get over it
@@NeckbeardIndustries Thats what i am noticing. He does things, you should never ever do in pvp games. Like spawncamping
"Is EVERYONE in this game a coward"
why give sociopath pvpers the satifaction of a fight?? They want strict pvo only?
Petition and bully rare to giving back Arena
no way pvping in a pvp game is considered sociopathy 😂 if you can't handle pvp play safer seas all day, you can't get reward without the risk
@@EEVO117 Sociopathy is for trogs. Pvp doesnt incline you to be an ass
I can respect that you sailed a Passive Reaper voyage. I don't care how many sweaty tryhard idiots tell you that's not how the game is played, you have my Eternal respect for that
So agree I'm like let me grind how I want to haha
@@ErrorInvalidName Exactly! Hell, I normally bury hoards of Reaper loot so I slowly gain Reaper rep and never have to raise the Reaper Emissary flag!
First
The fight around 1:30:00 is so good because it’s truly a pirate fight with both ships together and the decks are a battle field and chaos is everywhere
Wow. This was literally the most toxic SoT play I've seen. You're one of those people who kills others minding their own business for no reason. And then you call everyone who doesn't participate in your toxic play style a "coward". This is the worst.
Its called being in character, also Reaper Bones is a pvp based faction. You get money for taking flags.
cool opinion, but you're dead wrong lol
"You have committed crimes against the Reaper Organization" got me so good dude 😄
