Audi R8 and BMW i8 please. This is easily the best analysis I’ve seen. Phenomenal information. I’m looking at these three cars, maybe a Maserati or a new Corvette. They all seem to have decent reliability except the Maserati. I think purchase price, appreciation/depreciation and running costs are the three most important considerations in a decision like this. I may just get an S2000 though and keep investing the rest. 😁
Thank you for the wonderful video ! I love the detailed analysis! You should make a video on the C7 corvette, as the new model is being unveiled in a week. Seeing what that would do to the price would be of high interest to a lot of potential owners and current owners. You sir have earned a new subscriber, keep up the wonderful work!!!
Good video! However. There are two major facelifts 2012 and 2017. Also the only reason "Black Editions" don't depreciate as much in your data is due to the fact they were only offered on 2012-2016 models. It seems one would have to spend 60-70 for a good 2012-2016 GTR. I'd personally rather spend 80-90 on a 2017+. The 2017 has upgrades that cannot be retrofitted (for reasonable money) to the 2009-2016 cars such as stiffer body shell, thicker glass, better interior, smoother transmission and more compliant suspension. Those upgrades would justify the $10-20K premium for a 2017+. If you were going to do a monster 1000hp build it would be best to buy a high mileage 2009-2011 since you'll be upgrading nearly every component anyways. I predict that $40K will be the floor value for the 09-11 cars and $50K for the 12-16 cars in the next few years. Right now is the time to buy a stock low mileage 2009 car to keep as a collectible. They will be sought after due to their "rawness" that the 2010+ cars slowly engineered out.
Hi MrGrey, thanks for all the information. I indeed forgot to include the 2017 facelift. Some other viewers also messaged me about this. I also think that we are approaching a point where it might be worthwhile to buy a 2009 low mileage for 'collectible' purposes. These cars have just so much going for them.
Fantastic analysis only criticism is that facelift year is 2017 not 2014. Compare 2017 facelift to 2012 facelift to 2009. I don’t think there was a facelift in 2014. Correct me maybe?
Hi David, I used 2012 as the year to discriminate between the pre-facelift and facelift cars. I indeed don't think there was one in 2014. However, there was one in 2017 and like you mention and I forgot to include this one. Sharp observation.
I was actually thinking to renew the one of the ftype but then for the US market. The lfa is also a good idea! Need to check if there is enough data available.
Watching this now to get the “normal” depreciation for late 2022-2023 since 2019-2022 was just stupid lol. About to calculate what the GTR I’m looking would be if that high bubble didn’t occur to find a decent actual value
Interesting suggestion. I didn't look yet into that car. For the model S, however, you can check out the analysis over here: th-cam.com/video/GsvZJMPN0WI/w-d-xo.html
Which car would you like to see it the next analysis? Comment down below.

I just looked and see you’ve already done the R8 and i8!!! Excellent! What’s your preference between these three cars?
I would love to have an update on the Nissan GTR. Excellent channel!
Should make an update video as now GTR prices sky rocketing
Can you do a repeat of the GTR prices again pls to compare?
Thanks a lot. A GTR is my dream car and you gave me graph ideas to monitor the market and be able to discern my pearl. ~6-10 years range
Thanks to you making this video, I bought a Black Edition GTR. You rock!
How much did pay? Please share the specs as well as I’m looking at getting one

I just bought a 17 premium in blaze orange with 4400 miles in california for 81500. would that be considered a good buy?
You deserve more subscribers. Excellent analysis on the GTR. Can you do Lotus Elise?
Thanks! Happy to hear that you like the video. I just uploaded a video about the Lotus Elise so make sure to check it out.

appreciate these analysis, great stuff
Thanks Rick
The graphics are so pleasing. Well done sir.
Looking for opinion on value
2015 black series GTR 34,000 miles
Some mods. What do you think the car is worth?
I can’t find hardly any less than $50k unless it has 100k miles on it or more. Even the CBA’s are 60k plus
The video is probably outdated by now.
I’ve been on car gurus everyday also looking for a DBA. It’s like they appreciated.
GTR hardly depreciate
can u do one on the lfa, my dream car. i got a ftype which u done already
I was actually thinking to renew the one of the ftype but then for the US market. The lfa is also a good idea! Need to check if there is enough data available.
The GTR is just the best car for the money. Great video!
When do you think it would be a good time to buy a Nismo? Im hoping that they will flatten out in the 75-80k range. But what’s your opinion? Thanks.
Looking shredded fam #BicepVeins 🔥
Good one, thanks! Could you also check the Cayman in US?
Cayman version is coming soon.

I’ve been looking at the Nismo but now learning that owners lose 15k a year in depreciation just killed it for me. I gotta wait even longer.
so a '17 with low miles
The price seems fair. You will however face some fierce depreciation due to the low mileage.
I think it would be around 70k after 3 years
prices are now up. 17 with 4500 mi would be >90k now
Do the atsv subbed.
Ha. As an owner, depreciation is the least of my worries in 2022.
Well prices are definitely up again haha
Redo this video for current market
Tesla Model X please do next
Interesting suggestion. I didn't look yet into that car. For the model S, however, you can check out the analysis over here: th-cam.com/video/GsvZJMPN0WI/w-d-xo.html
its like binging with babish and Ed Sheeran got it on and had a kid
Can you make one for Subaru STI please good sir?
