So much respect for the 100% honestly in the beginning in the video in regards to your purchase price/trade in value/upfront payment +remaining loan balance. Nobody asked for personal specifics like that but it's always much easer to relate to a person or video when they break it down like that because it makes it easier to relate.
Glad you liked the vid! Coming up on 4 years with this. Absolutely love the car! Now on E85. But it has some downsides for sure. But all well worth it. I like sharing the honest side of it, because anyone can buy this car and easily maintain it. Too fun of a car to have people thinking its hard to own

Yeah those brands aren't the best. But Nissan went all out with the GTR to ensure reliability. I havent heard any horror stories with these cars. Very solid!
Man love the car, glad you enjoy the thrill of driving it. Just gotta say everytime I hear your engine and exhaust, I hear it and realize my G37 sounds so much like it. So far Ive done increased piping to 2 1/2 all the way after the Cats, with 12 inch vibrant resonators, and finishing with HKS Hi Power muffler. Sounds so much like it without the turbo noise, that's about it. Love it.

Hey man I just wanted to say I really appreciate this video. You shows what this car is like on daily driving. I'd love to get a GTR one day (when I can afford it haha) and I plan to use it as a daily car also. So thanks for this video man. I do have 2 questions: 1. GTR has been out for like 6 years now, does this car still turn heads/gets attention? 2. In stock form, does the GTR feel "supercar fast" Is it enjoyable even when factory stock?
I appreciate that! GTR is cool because it can fly under the radar. But people who know what it is, still freak out! I still get people taking pictures of my car all the time! A guy literally yesterday flipped a U turn to take a pic! Stock for from slow speeds, yes the GTR is supercar fast. But from highways speeds is just normal fast. Nothing too crazy. At the minimus. Add 3in intakes and a midpipe exhaust with a Stage 2 ECU tune. That made the GTR pull very hard even on the highway in 4th gear! Love this car! Coming up on 3 years now!

nice, I prefer that model than the 2017 model. You u need to do a dyno run to at lease see your WHP. If u haven't already. one of the car to have a GTR.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed the only down side in my opinion is that you will loose the column mounted paddles because in the 2017 and newer they came on the steering wheel. The 2017 looks do good my favorite is in the liquid gray.
SBD E85 Blue tooth controller literally mitigates all of your issues with E85. You can run 93 every day throughout the day oh I want to play tonight. Just fill up E85 and it’ll actually adjust no need for you to do anything.
Seems like just some first year GTR's have the issues. But from what some owners have commented, just updating the TCM map solves the issues. Mines been bullitt proof reliable and for the most part they are nothing special to own in terms of maintenance.

Do many GTR owners get a Flexfuel or a E85 tune? It seems like a match made in heaven on paper. My E85 pro tune added tons of torque to my STi. Just over 100fp compared to my 91 octane pro tune. You might get 200 out of the GTR.

This channel really hits home. Two of the main cars I've been considering buying are the 2020 Supra or a 2012-2015 GTR. I figure that with the Supra, I can have the best reliability with performance, but there is no comparison to a GTR. How do you compare the two? And I should say that if you're near the California area, I would be down to buy your car if I could. Love the vids!
Thanks for the support! GTR hands down is on a whole different level. It's a true mechanical raw supercar. Supra is a great all around car that can be just as normal as a Camry, but then a really fun sportscar. I'd pick the GTR over the Supra all day. And used, they don't cost too much more than a Supra. So all depends on what you're looking for.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed the extra difference between a 2020 Supra and 2015 GTR would allow me to do mods. :) But the main reason would be because I know how reliable Toyota is. I had a Nissan Maxima before and it had problems that I hadn't seen in Hondas and Toyotas. (I'm a Honda man, but my family has a lot of Toyotas.) I heard something about the transmission from a friend on GTRs around 45K mi. That's what scared me because I've also seen that while searching the internet.
To me one of the cool things about this car is just like you mentioned, you rarely see them on the road I guess mainly because of the prices. But I'm suspecting that with you being young, a lot of people look at you sideways when you get out of it. I bet it would be annoying.

Personally I'd buy the GTR. The Viper just isnt all too fast and you cant modify it to be faster. I don't think the Nismo is worth the money tho. $100k more then a Premium just to have carbon fiber body parts and carbon ceramics. A Premium can be modified with $20k and make 800 WHP and stomp both cars. So that's my take ;)
Get it wrapped in whatever color you want; Or, Midnight Blue! (I think you have to stick with 2014 or older, as nissan went to a different blue after 2014)

Nothing actually gave me better or worse gas mileage. I have bigger fuel pumps now and flex fuel tuning. I can get between 11-18 mpg for my average. All depends on how I drive the car. Stock the EPA rates this car at 19 combined. I do a lot of city driving with hard accelerations and I still get over 17 nearly all the time. Only very hard driving on E85 will I get 11
Suggestion for you, if your going to be doing driving Video's you may want to invest in a clip on mic...the drone in your car is drowning out a lot of your audio.
I like the channel but a few things to point out. One is how in the world is that GTR mechanical old school? Most of the parts in the GTR are not even in most modern cars yet. Also you can't make a blanket statement that a GTR is faster than a Lambo. You are comparing a specific car model to a car company and all their cars which then makes your statement not true! Back then I never paid enough attention to this video but it needs an update if you have not already to correct all you said wrong.
How long have you owned a GTR?? BTW I do have a 3 year update of this car live on our channel from a few weeks ago. The way this dual clutch transmission operates. It is an old school DCT. Have you driven many supercars with DCT transmissions? Or sportscars with them? Normally they are so smooth and you don’t feel any slop in the gears or the gear change. This transmission is rough around town and is not refined. So it’s an old school feeling transmission. The car itself was developed in the early 2000’s. That’s old. The 0-60 time is as fast as the newest Lamborghinis from 10 years later. The original GTR for 09 was faster then the Lamborghinis that were new when it came out too. Drive one and see what I mean. I’ve driven multiple GTR’s, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, M cars, AMG cars, etc... I know what I’m talking about. Once you drive one you’ll understand
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yes in 2007 the GTR was faster than most if not all stock lambos. But has of now they have plenty of models faster. The transmission is a bit clunky and takes awhile longer to down shift from 6th to 4th because of how the clutch setup is but the newest MK5 Supra has an 8 speed auto transmission with close gear ratios. So you can't compare them like that. And for a car out around the same time with a DCT transmission you had the Evolutions and those things broke so easy that my Wifes is still sitting and will more then likely sold as it but my manual one is fine. And with the right upgrades the GTR transmission can handle over 2k WHP for drag racing. Yes newer cars that cost way more will shift better as they should for that cost. But the LFA transmission was not DCT and it shifted a bit hard so you can feel it. Also the LFA paddle for upshift is lighter then downshift so you know you are shifting in the right direction. The GTR also has that MFD that not many car makers are using. My channel is nowhere nears yours in subscriber side and my day time job of active duty Army cannot not yet support buying the right year GTR and my family. But in time later this year it just might. But I don't need to own one to know after driving one and seeing countless videos and articles about them that not all your information is correct even as of two years ago.

To me one of the cool things about this car is just like you mentioned, you rarely see them on the road I guess mainly because of the prices. But I'm suspecting that with you being young, a lot of people look at you sideways when you get out of it. I bet it would be annoying.

Personally I'd buy the GTR. The Viper just isnt all too fast and you cant modify it to be faster. I don't think the Nismo is worth the money tho. $100k more then a Premium just to have carbon fiber body parts and carbon ceramics. A Premium can be modified with $20k and make 800 WHP and stomp both cars. So that's my take ;)
Get it wrapped in whatever color you want; Or, Midnight Blue! (I think you have to stick with 2014 or older, as nissan went to a different blue after 2014)

I’ve seen a 2010 model with 2 maps on it the highest being 630 bhp with only 36,000 miles does the bhp seem excessive to you fir that year?
As long as the TCM maps have been updated, that should be good as long as it's been well maintained.

Are the injectors the only thing you did that gave you better gas mileage?
Nothing actually gave me better or worse gas mileage. I have bigger fuel pumps now and flex fuel tuning. I can get between 11-18 mpg for my average. All depends on how I drive the car. Stock the EPA rates this car at 19 combined. I do a lot of city driving with hard accelerations and I still get over 17 nearly all the time. Only very hard driving on E85 will I get 11

I like the channel but a few things to point out. One is how in the world is that GTR mechanical old school? Most of the parts in the GTR are not even in most modern cars yet. Also you can't make a blanket statement that a GTR is faster than a Lambo. You are comparing a specific car model to a car company and all their cars which then makes your statement not true! Back then I never paid enough attention to this video but it needs an update if you have not already to correct all you said wrong.

BTW I do have a 3 year update of this car live on our channel from a few weeks ago. The way this dual clutch transmission operates. It is an old school DCT. Have you driven many supercars with DCT transmissions? Or sportscars with them? Normally they are so smooth and you don’t feel any slop in the gears or the gear change. This transmission is rough around town and is not refined. So it’s an old school feeling transmission. The car itself was developed in the early 2000’s. That’s old. The 0-60 time is as fast as the newest Lamborghinis from 10 years later. The original GTR for 09 was faster then the Lamborghinis that were new when it came out too. Drive one and see what I mean. I’ve driven multiple GTR’s, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, M cars, AMG cars, etc...

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yes in 2007 the GTR was faster than most if not all stock lambos. But has of now they have plenty of models faster. The transmission is a bit clunky and takes awhile longer to down shift from 6th to 4th because of how the clutch setup is but the newest MK5 Supra has an 8 speed auto transmission with close gear ratios. So you can't compare them like that. And for a car out around the same time with a DCT transmission you had the Evolutions and those things broke so easy that my Wifes is still sitting and will more then likely sold as it but my manual one is fine. And with the right upgrades the GTR transmission can handle over 2k WHP for drag racing. Yes newer cars that cost way more will shift better as they should for that cost. But the LFA transmission was not DCT and it shifted a bit hard so you can feel it. Also the LFA paddle for upshift is lighter then downshift so you know you are shifting in the right direction. The GTR also has that MFD that not many car makers are using. My channel is nowhere nears yours in subscriber side and my day time job of active duty Army cannot not yet support buying the right year GTR and my family. But in time later this year it just might. But I don't need to own one to know after driving one and seeing countless videos and articles about them that not all your information is correct even as of two years ago.
