1st class analysis D. Keep up the great work on your GT-R vids! I am deciding between 2 one-owner cars with about 20,000 miles on each of them A nicely modified ($25K invested) 2013 BE and a bone stock 2016. The 2013 is $68K USD and the 2016 is $84K USD. Your stats come pretty close but then the mods confound the value...somewhat. With the help of your analysis, I am ready to pull the trigger on the BE, after some vigorous negotiation, of course.
Thanks so much Ken. Looks like you really have two great options there. Love that their both one owner cars. Hope you enjoy your BE!! Let me know how it goes !!
Nice investigation! I bought a MY15 GTR Black Edition end of 2016, first permitted for drive in 2016, drove it roughly 7 thousand miles till today and still very happy with it. Slightly modified by a reputable tuner in Europe. When the car was new I paid 100 thousand euros for it. That´s very close to what I can get for it today! Despite the fact I don´t drive it that much, cause I wanna keep it for the rest of my live, I would never sell it, no matter if the value would turn up or down.

I Agree. I was considering selling mine. After doing this video and doing more research, I feel that this car is only going to appreciate in 5-10 years as everything moves to electric. Especially given the low volume of R35's that have been sold, it will surely be a collectors item.

Thanks so much Eric! Amazing how the GT-R is holding up. I'm going thru various used car websites now.. and it's also amazing the turnover on these GT-R's. I saw one with 7 owners yesterday !!
I looked at an article the other day, and they we're saying that in 10 years, GT-R could easily be worth 1/4 of a million dollars, based on the platform, and the uniqueness of the GT-R. There really hasn't been anything close to a GT-R in regards to it's rawness, and acceleration. And with everything going electric.. it for sure will be a collectors item !!
I have a gunmetal metallic DBA with 32 k miles. Live in Vegas too. Where have you driven to accumulate 120k? Any major issues with all that driving? I'm sure it's been a great GTR experience you've had.
Yeah, I was a dumass and daily drove it for about 6 years. And I was driving a lot.. to work, to the golf course, back to work, etc.. Wish I could have those years over. Oh well. It's running great.. Still is very strong. Had two issues.. had to replace front differential, and also had to do timing chain. Other than that, it's perfect. Transmission is still good, Bell Housing is fine. Still on original rotors !!
Hey Chris, be patient. You can find one!! The nice thing I've found about the GT-R is their surprisingly reliable. And if you do the fluid changes yourself, their really not that costly to maintain. I did have to change out the timing chain at a little over 100K, so now they typically go out around there, but other than that.. it's all good. Good luck buddy !!
Hey love the video! What about the color of the gtr? I heard only 67 of the 2017 models were in the factory blue? Do you think color will have a impact on price?
Good question. I really don't know. I didn't take that into consideration. I always loved the blue on the GT-R. Great color !! I also really like the white !!
Hi there !! Thanks for watching. Using my analysis, it seems like it would be a pretty good deal given the average prices of a 2017 are well over 100K. Personally though, I would have a hard time pulling the trigger for a 6 year old car over 100k. I'd be looking for a well cared for DBA. Good luck with whatever you decide!!
Geez, that's a lot of dough for a used car. The book is 96K on it. . It's an awesome car for sure but not much difference in the DBA's. You could probably find a 2012-2014 DBA for cheaper. But a stock one with a single owner is certainly attractive. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Would you say 45k is worth it for a 2009 Nissan Gtr with 113k miles, needs hot smog because of mods& need to do a loss of title application, & has a valve cover leak, & has a clicking noise from the rear passenger wheel when you drive off slowly.
