I think Mihawk is the only warlord who didn't have ulterior motive to the Navy. He never use the Navy for conquering a kingdom or even betray them. On the other hand the Navy has benefited so much from him. He stayed faithful to his warlord title till the Navy betrayed him. Just proved how strong and bored he is. Lol
I think that is because he doesn't seem to have much of a goal that would cause him to betray the marines. As far as I can tell, in his free time he has no particular goal he aspires to. He just finds ways to kill time and ease his boredom, probably because he accomplished his goals long ago. At this point he has nothing to do except wait for someone to hopefully challenge him and take his title from him before age and time can do the job for them.
You’re right. Hell even the supposed “most loyal” shichibukai Kuma turns out wasn’t completely loyal. With him secretly helping Bonnie from the shadows and him helping the strawhats. (Honestly I think part of the reason he became a slave instead of a soldier was because of how pissed the government probably was about purposely letting the strawhats get away TWICE and protecting their ship for two years which was probably the last straw)
You know, I do love the fact that we never saw how mihawk beat the marines and made his way to the cross guild because no one has any amount of doubt that he could beat the whole army easily. Do you think they didn't send an admiral because they didn't want to risk losing one?
More likely they sent them to say they did to keep up appearances, but weren't really interested in bringing Mihawk in. It was a lot of trouble, but they knew Mihawk wasn't going to go starting trouble after the fact especially because they didn't throw an Admiral his way.
They would have to send an Admiral and multiple Vice Admirals to take Mihawk down. Given how stretched the Marines were with what was going on with Wano (Big Mom and Kaido teaming up and several of the Worst Generation teaming up), sending two Seraphim after Boa, having Greenbull go after Weevil, and finally having to worry over whatever Blackbeard was up to that their resources were stretched too thin to go hard against Mihawk like what would have really been required to take him down.

Here's a sorta-wholesome idea. Shortly after the Kaido incident, Moria finds Perona who has eaten the Hollow Fruit. She can't particularly control it, being a child and all, but Moria (due to the heartbreak he had suffered) was unaffected. From then, Moria helped Perona master her powers, and taking care of Perona got him out of that initial slump from his crew's defeat. Shame it didn't end so well for Moria himself, hope he's been working out on Hachinosu and we get Prime Moria again
I’m a sleeper to your videos. The amount of times I’ve put geography is everything on shuffle. Despite having wild energy your videos are great to fall sleep too so thank you and don’t stop
Mine is similar to yours: Lust = Boa Hancock Pride = Jinbei (Pride for his Fishfolk) Greed = Crocodile Wrath = Donxijote Doflamingo Envy = Bartholomew Kuma (Envy for not being able to live his life like he would want) Sloth = Geko Moria Gluttony = Drakule Mihawk (For his dissatisfaction of finding someone worthy enough to beat him)
I think Mihawk might be envy. He is envious of Shanks or his swordsmanship. Maybe even his whole backstory is being envy of stronger swordsmen and envy or people with crews? Jinbe is pride, pride fishmen, inheriting Fisher Tiger's pride, stood against Ace for his pride for pops. After stepping down as warlord and in conclusion of the Fishmen island arc he became the antidote of pride, humility when he exchanged blood. Greed and Gluttony are kinda hard to pin, Croco-mom and Doffy are kinda similar in some aspects. Boa is obvious.
I like Boa (lust), Doffy (wrath), croc (greed), Mihawk (pride), Moria (envy), Jinbe (sloth) because he was content to sit in the position but refused to actually do the job when asked. Though Kuma and Doffy could switch on the same tyrant thing cause gluttony doesn't fit otherwise.
I think Moria waited so long because he was tryna get a shadow for the Oar’s body. Yeah the other preparations were ready to go but the Oar’s body is a big key to taking over. So I see why he was stagnant for so long.
I wonder, if it wasn't Luffy... Whose shadow would he have *wanted* to put in Oars? Did he even have anyone specific in mind I wonder, or was he just waiting for a powerful rookie to fall into his lap in Thriller Bark?
@@MIrfanPerdana love this! I had never thought about it, but he must have had someone in mind right? 🤔 maybe a little bit of both perhaps, someone he had in mind, but after enough time passed he could not be picky anymore, and he would use the shadow of a powerful random person 😂
@@MIrfanPerdana bro that’s a great question. I wonder too. Cuz it still have to be someone strong and he can beat. And if he did have someone in mind I wonder who? If not, luffy fell right in his hands lol.
@@vansdaman615 I don't think he had anyone specific in mind. But the florian triangle is perfectly placed since it's located right before Sabaody, so it's pretty much a guarantee that some of the strong rookies that travels towards the new world will cross it from time to time. Moria is/was afraid of the new world to some degree, so he probably wouldn't have any new world pirates in mind, but a rookie strong enough to travel towards the new world like any of the super rookies like the supernovas he still feels confident taking on. So it probably could have been any of the other supernovas if they took a different path, well except for Law that is since his ship couldn't get trapped. Urogue would probably have been a good fit for Oars.
@@g-5615 These are really excellent points, actually!! He set himself up perfectly so that *someone* was bound to stumble onto Thriller Bark, someone strong enough to reach that part of the Grand Line.
Underrated antagonist group in anime imo. Everyone talks about the Akatsuki, the Espada, the Phantom Troupe, etc. And while the warlords may not have the same group dynamic as those other villain groups, they worked so well individually.
Maybe because they didn't ever work together so they didnt have a back and forth like the phantom troupe or the akatsuki. They were only a "group" by title alone.
It's because they're not a group per se. They're just seven individuals who happened to be grouped together by the WG; they're not inherently a group (like a crew).
I could imagine mihawk travelling in his coffin boat for several days taking naps and when he encounters pirates he takes his badass cross-legged stance and starts wrecking pirate ships
Using you as a podcast. It’s just nice. I usually work with things that requires me to balance many thoughts, orders rules and tasks at once for hours at a time. And if there’s too much new information, I need to focus, or might get surprised, but rankings, “History of” etc. love them. Keep up the good work.
The Love Love powers were based on their feelings for Boa // Boa’s attractiveness and so a new user wouldn’t be able to undo the previous user’s effect. She said it in the chapter.
With everything that's going down in the recent chapters, I'm shocked Boa hasn't just announced her allegiance to Luffy yet. Like as soon as the Warlord system was abolished, Boa could've just been like "Oh. Warlord system's been abolished? Alright bet! I hereby announce that I and the Kuja Pirates have allied with the Straw Hat Grand Fleet!" Like after the stuff with Blackbeard and the Marines was over with, she could've just found out Luffy was in Wano and joined the Raid On Onigashima to add extra manpower to the Alliance's efforts.
Unfortunately, it takes time to move from one place to another in the One Piece world even if we don't see exactly how much time. While I would have liked to see her join in, I think that depending on when exactly she got the news, she might not have had sufficient time. That being said, announcing her island is allied to Luffy and under his protection would be an excellent idea. They are already under a death sentence and announcing this might get the marines off their backs enough for them to figure out exactly what to do next.
@@jamesvach6698 Yeah especially since Luffy's a Yonko now. We already know the Marines aren't about to fuck with a Yonko or the territories under their protection unless they either have explicit permission from the government or they're Garp.
@@brandonmcdaniel5447 Quite frankly I would have thought that it her support for Luffy would have been self-evident to some already. Both due to her actions during Marineford and the fact that she enlarged his bounty picture and stuck it on her castle. But I suppose in this regard the world government is a bit slow. Either way, it would be best for her to try that option. It is either that or leave Amazon Lily with her people and try to find either Luffy or somewhere else to stay. I don't know how long the marines are going to hold off on making another assault and the residents of Amazon Lily are not pushovers I would not bet on their ability to hold off attacks indefinitely especially if the marines send admirals there or manage to keep the Seraphim. Something has to happen soon.
My headcannon is that the warlord system started 22 years ago with mihawk, crocodile and moriah a part of the original seven along with 4 unknown members who were replaced overtime with Hancock, jinbe, doflamingo and kuma
I think we all often forget just how many times ALL of the Pre Time Skip Shichibukai have visited Mariejois; and with Cross Guild having majority of them together under a guided united goal, (with Boa Hancock may be asked to join, then Weevil will probably join during/post Impel Down 2.0; etc.).. They KNOW the Internal Layout of a LOT of Mariejois Areas outside of the Residential Areas of The Celestial Dragons. But even then, someone like Bonney, and The 4 Man Group of Revolutionary Army Top of the Lines headed up by Sabo, ALSO snuck into the Residential Areas of The Celestial Dragons while saving Kuma.. So, it’s not too far fetched to think previous Shichibukai-Level Pirates (Cross Guild), never snuck in for some reason or another either while visiting.. Meaning, Cross Guild has a huge leg up on having that much more of a battle plan to take down the WG/Celestial Dragons/Gorosei/Imu~sama
When Garp met up in Water 7 he explained the Warlords were created to Counter-Balance the Yonko So they existed for 20 something years so Crocodile is the only known OG Crocodile - 20 something years Mihawk - Unknown Hancock - 13 years ago Moria - atleast 12 years ago ((that's when he had the Zombie comeback and was said to be a Warlord during that)) Jinbei - 11 years ago Doflamingo - 10 years ago Kuma - 4 years ago ((In the Ace Novel he was offered a spot, this is the only person who makes sense for the opening)) Blackbeard - 2 years ago Buggy - 2 years ago Law - 1/2 years ago Weevil - 1/2 years ago
30:57 the symphony that plays upon Crocodile's defeat in Alabasta is called "From The New World" by Antonin D'vorak. The Symphony is D'vorak's 9th and the specific piece played is the opening of the 4th movement titled "Allegro con fuoco" and is played in the key of E minor. The entire symphony is a little over 40 minutes long Japan really likes this piece as it has been used more often than you'd expect in various japanese media in the last few decades. another example of this piece being used is in the video game Asura's Wrath during Asura's fight against Augus
The first other anime I've heard that in is "Umishou" and the piece gets used for comedic purposes. It fits so much better in that context! I just don't think that it fits into the scene of the final attack against Crocodile.
I remember playing that game, a really interesting place to put that particular piece of music although I suppose it was to make the battle unique. After all, in a sense Augus is not like the others in the Seven Deities Asura fights, he is fighting his former student purely for fun rather than to advance the cause of his organization.
The warlords are some of the best group of villains that aren't the main threat. Much like the phantom troupe they have a lot of their own personality and character Same with still being relevant after so long as oda made them fit well even in the new world as major forces even up against yonko seeing moria once have fought kaido. Boa almost wrecking Blackbeard and mihawk dualing shanks a lot before then law fighting big mom with captain mid and so on. Same as the admirals and marines. They still got so much left to show and oda setting the ground work makes me hyped to see more
I wanna see Moria get inspired and have a glow up before the end of the series. Seeing Moria back in shape confront Kaido in the end game would be awesome, and he would stand a good chance if he was backed up by buggy and the x guild.
I might be wrong wrong but I think I remember someone saying that the Warlords were essentially created as a response to the Yonko. Or more specifically something along the lines of trying to balance out the difference in power between the Yonko crews and the Marines. So based on this (if correct) the Warlord system was created after the death of Roger.
Garp, "The Seven warlords and us folks at the Navy, have allied against them. The idea, is to create a balance of power." Episode 314, timestamp might be around 14:20 depending on where you watch it. He says more but I didn't feel like writing the rest haha.
It ain't strange, I basically have to play your videos twice since I listen to them for sleeping purposes, and during the day, then I will definitely watch them properly
As someone who uses your videos to fall asleep, I definitely got asked how that's possible by friends as well haha. Just something about you rambling on and going into random details really helps me relax and completely switch off from whatever happened during the day.
I always had the head cannon that the government created the warlords as a way to placate Doflamingo. They couldn't let him back as a celestial dragon, but they couldn't let him run wild either. So create the warlord system and hire a few others to make it less suspicious they're just protecting Doflamingo
1:06:50 My thoughts are that she was force fed the love love fruit in order to test whether she could turn someone back who was turned to stone by a previous user. Most Celestial Dragons are cruel and many of them are entitled idiots, but clearly thats not all of them. Some of them may have been testing the limits on Boa's fruit and thats why they gave it to her.
One really interesting thing about Mihawk's bounty is that he's pretty much the only character in the series who's bounty is a direct measure of their combat strength. Since a character's bounty is a measurement of how much of a threat they represent to the World Governmanet, everyone else has an inflated bounty based on how many allies they have, how large their crew is, how powerful their average members are, how much dangerous information they know, how aggressive they are, etc. At the time when Mihawk's new bounty was posted, he worked alone, had no particular agenda and only fought when people went out of their way to mess with him, and they still saw fit to give him a 3.5 billion Berry bounty.
Tekking I’ve been a long time fan and it’s my first time commenting on your vids, I love your studio change from the room to what you’re using now, it feels like a very fun and inviting space
7 Sins of the Warlord Mihawk - Pride (obviously) Crocodile - Greed (obviously) Doflamingo - Wrath (obviously) Moria - Gluttony? (I was originally having him as sloth because he's lazy af but he's also literally a glutton for power and shadows) Boa - Lust (obviously) Kuma - Sloth? (bears are associated with sloth as well as gluttony but irony because he's now a slave and has always been working for others even though he's a king) Jinbe - Envy? (fishman wants to live on land and stuff like that) That being said I think it was more animal theming then anything Mihawk (Hawk), Crocodile (Crocodile), Doflamingo (Flamingo), Moria (Komori aka bat), Boa (Boa), Kuma (Kuma aka Bear), and Jinbe (Jinbei-zame aka Whale Shark) then Blackbeard (Hippopotamus, Greed), Buggy (Panda, Greed), Law (Seal, Envy?), and Weevil (Weevil, Sloth definitely)
I'm very curious what Hancock will do now that Amazon Lily is open hunting ground. I REALLY want to see her use Haki to her full potential. If the Kuja Pirates are supposed to be experts in Haki, and she's the strongest one, hopefully we get to see her demonstrate that. I even heard an interesting theory once that Kuma originally intended HER to be the one who would train Luffy to use Haki.
Awesome to see longer videos from Tekking again, now we need the type of video about the supernovae once we know the fates of some and once weknow anything about Urouge

If Gecko Moria was more like his younger self, I'd believe he'd be a much bigger threat. His powers give him almost Logia abilities with his shadow teleportation technique, and his shadow can fly. I wonder if he could split up his own shadow to create zombies, instead of stealing from other people? Big Mom can use her own soul to create Homies, so it may be possible. Although would Moria then become vulnerable to sunlight, since that is what happens to people whose shadows are used for zombies? All of the combinations, so many ways to potentially get stronger. Oda was right when he stated that it's not the fruit that matters, but the person using it. Moria had a broken Devil Fruit, he was just too weak to or stupid or both to use it to it's full potential.
He was presumably stronger in his youth when he had his crew and the same passion that Luffy currently has. When he lost his crew to Kaido, he was broken in a sense. He didn't want to experience the same loss again and he felt that it was pointless to keep trying the way he was. So, he allowed his strength to decay and became devoted to success through the efforts of others. It was his mindset that causes him to limit himself not necessarily a lack of physical ability or intelligence. Once one has a certain mindset in place, that mindset and view of the world can sometimes limit their view of things.
Boa - Lust Doffy - Gluttony Crocodile - Greed Moria - Sloth Jinbe - Envy (Envy of the status of humans) Mihawk - Wrath (Following Don Krieg to slice his ship apart lol) Kuma - Pride
My thought about warlord registration was that it was a prerequisite to give a dna sample of some sort, and if the candidate refused the fleet admiral or gorosei would send cp0 to retrieve some hair or something, that’s my head canon for the seraphim’s existence being based off the warlords
Like, the government taking a sample for a vivre card might have been the thing that they went back to later like "Hey wait, we've got these tracking papers made of hair, can't we do anything else with these? " and handing a piece over to vegapunk
I like to think that Crocodile didn't actually lose his hand, but rather is just perpetually hiding it so that people think that he's handicapped in some way. Kind of like the classic 7-shot revolver. If not that, then I BET he could EASILY form a new hand if he needed to, like how Persosparrow can. Edit 3* And how Owkiji can. Edit* Here's a question, does anyone think that Shinobu could forcibly age up Sugar to her true age? Edit 2* 1:05:02 She kicked that habit like she used to kick puppies.
@@MIrfanPerdana Eh... give the guy a break. Not everyone takes the time to look up a characters name... we still know who he is talking about. And yeah, he can probably easily replace his hand with sand... more akin to Kuzan than Perospero. Personally I wouldn't call candy a element of any sort, I see that devil fruit as being closer to Katakuri's power as a special paramecia personally, but I don't remember off-hand as to what it's official classification was. I am also pretty sure the scar on Crocodile's face is from Whitebeard, as per a flashback to Croc first fighting him. I guess the bigger question /I/ would ask is why Impel Down would allow him to keep his hook.
About your question I don’t think it works. The ripe ripe fruit from Shinobu lets pass time. But no matter how much time passed Suger stays the same regardless of age. Arguments could be made it still works but I think the Fruit of Shinobu is the wrong fruit to accomplish that.

As a note, I don't think Baroque Works was meant to be a secret organisation proper. They were known Bounty Hunters and they even scouted Zoro. The organization's actual purpose wasn't known at all, finding that out was what got Vivi hunted.
Agreed, it seemed that they were more concerned with people knowing what they were planning on doing and possibly interfering than they were about overall knowledge of their existence. They didn't even see fit to try and retaliate against Zoro when he killed the agent sent to recruit him.
Every Warlord was seen as having the potential to become an Emperor, which is why they were made Warlords. Obviously, Mihawk has his raw strength, but Croc and Moria were contenders who just ran into someone too powerful too soon (Whitebeard and Kaido, respectively). That is furthered by Weevil being compared to "a young Whitebeard", Law getting a 3 billion berry bounty, and Buggy and Blackbeard actually becoming Yonko. When Boa made her declaration that the World Government needed to be reminded of why they were made Shichibukai, she wasn't bluffing. Every single one of these 11 have immense potential, and that was why the WG wanted to reign them in.
They were powerful individuals it is true and in time with work they would have become stronger still as some have demonstrated. It seems that the world government was under the impression that they could keep the warlords as expendable pets under their leash, but as they learned putting a leash on a wolf doesn't make it an obedient dog. As events have shown, the warlords ultimately only answer to the world government on their own discretion and that means that they cannot be depended on not to use their freedom for their own desires.

I mean Boa Sloth/gluttony - onion boi Pride/wrath - mihawk Greed/lust (for power) - crocodile Envy/pride - Jimbe Wrath/gluttony - flamingo Acedia - kuma (wild card) Only BB fits the build for primary gluttony but he isn't one of the original 7. The problem is want (lust greed envy and gluttony) often lead to wrath. That and Oda's characters aren't one dimensional enough to be displayed as one "sin" alone.
The Amazons weren't doing bad against the marines, they just wouldn't fight the seraphim bcuz they look like children 😅. Pretty sure if Hancock gave an order they would follow it to attack them. Plus the Boa sisters were just chilling there in the kingdom while the warriors were doing their work.
I like to believe the warlord system was the end product of the marines trying to find a way to get Mihawk off their backs, someone brings up paying him to stop slaughtering them and the reverie picks up the idea and expands it into what was the 7 warlords.
I want to believe that the Warlord system began being planned after the God Valley incident. Because it was the one major moment when marines needed help from pirates to take down other pirates. Especially at the moment when Roger died because there needed to be control

Given that Mihawk's epithet as Marine Hunter it gave at least some clarity to Zephyr from Film Z, despite it being noncanon, who else could cut an arm off of Black Arm Zephyr and was invited into to Warlords? Plus it does go to show why they invited Mihawk, the dude found a bunch of Marine recruits along with a Admiral level Marine and cleaned house leaving only three alive.
When Baroque Works was originally introduced they were a bounty hunter organization. Definitely shady but 100% something a warlord would do based on the description of what they were supposed to be.
The previous user of the Love Love fruit might have turned one of the world nobles to stone. They might have fed it to her and commanded her to turn him back, but she couldn't. That might be how she knows that the next user couldn't undo what she does.
This is my idea of what sin each of the OG warlords match up to and why, If you disagree please tell be why Mihawk - Sloth (as he was before the warlord system was abolished he was bored since he had no one to fight and was resting on his laurels) Crocodile - Greed (he was going after Pluton so he could claim the One Piece as his and become king of the pirates, we see this as his dream when Miss Goldenweek uses her Rainbow Color Trap) Doflamingo - Envy (he is envious of the celestial dragons and wishes he could go back to being one, you can see this because he set himself up as a celestial dragon within Dressrosa) Kuma - Wrath (this has less to do with him as a person and more to do with his reputation as the Tyrant) Moria - Gluttony (he fell into his current sorry state by eating until he looked like a pear) Hancock - Lust (because of course she is) Jinbe - Pride (he has his pride a warrior and as the son of the sea, it was also his pride that lead to him being thrown in impel down)
In terms of a "strongest warlord list" including all the warlords as of rn, I'd say they rank like this: 1. Mihawk 2. Blackbeard 3. Law 4. Kuma 5. Weevil 6. Boa 7. Doffy 8. Jinbe 9. Crocodile 10. Moria 11. Buggy (Croco, Doffy and Jinbe are interchangable)

Its not a theory, the man is serious and angry cause he never gets to fight with someone on his level, the time we saw him recognise the potential to surpass him in Zoro he was smiling
The thing he likes the most in the world is fighting, and fighting in high level combat
Its gonna be epic seeing him like that
That sounds terrifying💀
@@lillabet5556 EXACTLY lol hes a psycho, I will love to see him like
Remember the smile is a very important concept in this show, and Mihawk is one of the most important dudes
Its gonna be epic
Here's a sorta-wholesome idea.
Shortly after the Kaido incident, Moria finds Perona who has eaten the Hollow Fruit. She can't particularly control it, being a child and all, but Moria (due to the heartbreak he had suffered) was unaffected. From then, Moria helped Perona master her powers, and taking care of Perona got him out of that initial slump from his crew's defeat.
Shame it didn't end so well for Moria himself, hope he's been working out on Hachinosu and we get Prime Moria again
That's wholesome but very sad
Rrrrrrrrrrr
A whole Iroh training montage? I can dig it.
Honestly probably what happened seeing as persona love him so much
The only issue is Perona is shocked when he power doesn't affect Ussopp. Implying she didn't know that was possible.
I’m a sleeper to your videos. The amount of times I’ve put geography is everything on shuffle. Despite having wild energy your videos are great to fall sleep too so thank you and don’t stop
Lust- Boa (obvious)
Greed- Crocodile (mob boss type)
Envy- Moria (envious of Kaido)
Gluttony- Doflamingo (power hungry)
Sloth- Mihawk (always layed back)
Pride- Jinbe (obvious)
Wrath- Kuma (called “The Tyrant”)
Mine is similar to yours:
Lust = Boa Hancock
Pride = Jinbei (Pride for his Fishfolk)
Greed = Crocodile
Wrath = Donxijote Doflamingo
Envy = Bartholomew Kuma (Envy for not being able to live his life like he would want)
Sloth = Geko Moria
Gluttony = Drakule Mihawk (For his dissatisfaction of finding someone worthy enough to beat him)
No, Mihawk has to be pride. He shames people that don’t have balls and easily beg.
I don't get the phantom troupe hype. Every time they show up, half of them die.
Maybe because they didn't ever work together so they didnt have a back and forth like the phantom troupe or the akatsuki. They were only a "group" by title alone.
@@MagicCardboardBox what? 😂 pakunoda dies in yorknew and the next one doesn’t die until after Hisoka vs Chrollo which is way ahead in the series
It's because they're not a group per se. They're just seven individuals who happened to be grouped together by the WG; they're not inherently a group (like a crew).
they don't really have a group dynamic and a lot of them aren't even antagonists. they're good characters but it's an apples to oranges comparison
Imagine when she does and finds out she needs to compete for #1 fan club president with Barto like in all of the fan comics
It's one of "those" Tekking videos! Always a treat!
Dude every one of his videos is special.
When Garp met up in Water 7 he explained the Warlords were created to Counter-Balance the Yonko
So they existed for 20 something years
so Crocodile is the only known OG
Crocodile - 20 something years
Mihawk - Unknown
Hancock - 13 years ago
Moria - atleast 12 years ago ((that's when he had the Zombie comeback and was said to be a Warlord during that))
Jinbei - 11 years ago
Doflamingo - 10 years ago
Kuma - 4 years ago ((In the Ace Novel he was offered a spot, this is the only person who makes sense for the opening))
Blackbeard - 2 years ago
Buggy - 2 years ago
Law - 1/2 years ago
Weevil - 1/2 years ago
Interesting, I wonder if they replaced other characters or Crocodile was the only one for a while and everyone else joined over time.
@@robertnelson9599 I'm curious about that aswell
30:57 the symphony that plays upon Crocodile's defeat in Alabasta is called "From The New World" by Antonin D'vorak. The Symphony is D'vorak's 9th and the specific piece played is the opening of the 4th movement titled "Allegro con fuoco" and is played in the key of E minor. The entire symphony is a little over 40 minutes long
Japan really likes this piece as it has been used more often than you'd expect in various japanese media in the last few decades. another example of this piece being used is in the video game Asura's Wrath during Asura's fight against Augus
That end fight scene with luffy and croc was what made one piece stick with me since a lil kid. Absolutely amazing
The warlords are some of the best group of villains that aren't the main threat. Much like the phantom troupe they have a lot of their own personality and character
Same with still being relevant after so long as oda made them fit well even in the new world as major forces even up against yonko seeing moria once have fought kaido.
Garp was the one who said that about having balance. Before he told Luffy who dad was.
Never stated clearly but the pieces fit
Garp, "The Seven warlords and us folks at the Navy, have allied against them. The idea, is to create a balance of power."
Episode 314, timestamp might be around 14:20 depending on where you watch it. He says more but I didn't feel like writing the rest haha.
Thanks
I Remer brook knew moria was a warlord I wonder if they existed before or he found out about them when he was captured.
I love these super long videos, wish you could do more of them!
Same here. Tekking and Thorgi's Arcade are two of my go-to TH-camrs who make long videos that are easy to fall asleep to.
I always had the head cannon that the government created the warlords as a way to placate Doflamingo. They couldn't let him back as a celestial dragon, but they couldn't let him run wild either. So create the warlord system and hire a few others to make it less suspicious they're just protecting Doflamingo
That would explain why they were suddenly so accepting of dissolving them after doffy got arrested
But the system was created like 20 years ago while Doffy came warlord like 10 years ago.
That is weird. So mohawk and Crocodile who were warlords 10 years before Doffy? Could the world government predict the future or something? 😂💔🍃
The music that was played when crocodile was being defeated by Luffy was New World Symphony 4th Movement.
This video never goes away
Legendary video as always
Tekking I’ve been a long time fan and it’s my first time commenting on your vids, I love your studio change from the room to what you’re using now, it feels like a very fun and inviting space
7 Sins of the Warlord
Mihawk - Pride (obviously)
Crocodile - Greed (obviously)
Doflamingo - Wrath (obviously)
Moria - Gluttony? (I was originally having him as sloth because he's lazy af but he's also literally a glutton for power and shadows)
Boa - Lust (obviously)
Kuma - Sloth? (bears are associated with sloth as well as gluttony but irony because he's now a slave and has always been working for others even though he's a king)
Jinbe - Envy? (fishman wants to live on land and stuff like that)
That being said I think it was more animal theming then anything Mihawk (Hawk), Crocodile (Crocodile), Doflamingo (Flamingo), Moria (Komori aka bat), Boa (Boa), Kuma (Kuma aka Bear), and Jinbe (Jinbei-zame aka Whale Shark) then Blackbeard (Hippopotamus, Greed), Buggy (Panda, Greed), Law (Seal, Envy?), and Weevil (Weevil, Sloth definitely)
Needed another long video thank god
I'm very curious what Hancock will do now that Amazon Lily is open hunting ground. I REALLY want to see her use Haki to her full potential. If the Kuja Pirates are supposed to be experts in Haki, and she's the strongest one, hopefully we get to see her demonstrate that. I even heard an interesting theory once that Kuma originally intended HER to be the one who would train Luffy to use Haki.
It's a long shot, but I kinda want to see her join Cross Guild with the other Warlords.
We still haven't seen her in a serious 1-on-1 fight yet people kept saying she's weak.
@@Gummeyy People always put her at Doffy level for no reason.

I literally fell asleep to this last night. I then listened to it on my morning drive so it all worked out
I forgive Boa Hancock because she is beautiful 🥰 Nobody else though, only she gets a pass here to do the things she does
If Gecko Moria was more like his younger self, I'd believe he'd be a much bigger threat.
Boa - Lust
Doffy - Gluttony
Crocodile - Greed
Moria - Sloth
Jinbe - Envy (Envy of the status of humans)
Mihawk - Wrath (Following Don Krieg to slice his ship apart lol)
Kuma - Pride
Whelp, the week before 1100- the Kuma part of the next version of this video is about to get way longer.
My thought about warlord registration was that it was a prerequisite to give a dna sample of some sort, and if the candidate refused the fleet admiral or gorosei would send cp0 to retrieve some hair or something, that’s my head canon for the seraphim’s existence being based off the warlords
Makes sense.
Like, the government taking a sample for a vivre card might have been the thing that they went back to later like "Hey wait, we've got these tracking papers made of hair, can't we do anything else with these? " and handing a piece over to vegapunk
The funny thing is, it literally fell asleep while listening to this video. Tekking your content is soothing.
I'm rewatching this after the Kuma flashback because I need more Kuma in my life
Lol tekkings dedication for this vid is crazy. No cuts what a legend
Did... did you really just write Perospero as Persosparrow?
@@MIrfanPerdana pearohsparrow
About your question
I don’t think it works. The ripe ripe fruit from Shinobu lets pass time. But no matter how much time passed Suger stays the same regardless of age. Arguments could be made it still works but I think the Fruit of Shinobu is the wrong fruit to accomplish that.
He could always make a hand out of sand, a shand if you will

The piece that plays when Luffy defeats crocodile is aptly called "Symphony for the new world" by Dvorak, and it's fricking amazing
Not going to lie

30:50 the music they used (which is the one tekking kinda sings) is the new world symphony by dvorak

An hour and a half long video while im at work? Lets gooooooooooo
My take on 7 sins (obvious to least and primary/secondary)
Lust- bug... um... I mean Boa
Sloth/gluttony - onion boi
Pride/wrath - mihawk
Greed/lust (for power) - crocodile
Envy/pride - Jimbe
Wrath/gluttony - flamingo
Acedia - kuma (wild card)
Only BB fits the build for primary gluttony but he isn't one of the original 7.
The problem is want (lust greed envy and gluttony) often lead to wrath. That and Oda's characters aren't one dimensional enough to be displayed as one "sin" alone.
Best beginning yet Tekking. My roommates were worried from how loud I was laughing 😂😂😂
I watch this clip again in 2024 and the prediction about Kuma is so wrong and mysterious but in reality it is so simple.
Long video= more time in the presence of Bary = perfect content
The Amazons weren't doing bad against the marines, they just wouldn't fight the seraphim bcuz they look like children 😅. Pretty sure if Hancock gave an order they would follow it to attack them. Plus the Boa sisters were just chilling there in the kingdom while the warriors were doing their work.
Ive actually wanted this video. Thx tekking
Lol i'm glad i'm not the only one who does sleep listening to you!
Every time I let TH-cam just play it always brings me back to this video Even though I've seen it like 4 times.
I like to believe the warlord system was the end product of the marines trying to find a way to get Mihawk off their backs, someone brings up paying him to stop slaughtering them and the reverie picks up the idea and expands it into what was the 7 warlords.
Tekking, you are the goat. That is all, proceed with a fantastic day my king.
Love the video and keep up the great work tekking
Kuma section woulda been way longer if this video was made today bro
I REMEMBER THE FIRST SHICHIBUKAI VIDEOS this is so nostalgic 🥲
The marines keeping mihawk and asking him to hunt down the other warlocks sounds dope
I want to believe that the Warlord system began being planned after the God Valley incident. Because it was the one major moment when marines needed help from pirates to take down other pirates. Especially at the moment when Roger died because there needed to be control
Who win?
1. Prime Shirohige vs 7 Warlords
2. Marineford Shirohige + his 14(or 10, i forgot) Main captains like Marco, Ace, Izo etc. Vs 7 warlords
3. Marineford shirohige vs Akainu, aokiji, kizaru
4. prime shirohige vs Akainu aokiji kizaru
5. 7 warlords vs akainu aokiji kizaru
Pls answer ;d
Given that Mihawk's epithet as Marine Hunter it gave at least some clarity to Zephyr from Film Z, despite it being noncanon, who else could cut an arm off of Black Arm Zephyr and was invited into to Warlords? Plus it does go to show why they invited Mihawk, the dude found a bunch of Marine recruits along with a Admiral level Marine and cleaned house leaving only three alive.
Weevil did that
When Baroque Works was originally introduced they were a bounty hunter organization.
47:12 DOFLAMINGO used BLACKMAIL! It's super effective!
This is my idea of what sin each of the OG warlords match up to and why,
If you disagree please tell be why
Mihawk - Sloth (as he was before the warlord system was abolished he was bored since he had no one to fight and was resting on his laurels)
Crocodile - Greed (he was going after Pluton so he could claim the One Piece as his and become king of the pirates, we see this as his dream when Miss Goldenweek uses her Rainbow Color Trap)
Doflamingo - Envy (he is envious of the celestial dragons and wishes he could go back to being one, you can see this because he set himself up as a celestial dragon within Dressrosa)
Kuma - Wrath (this has less to do with him as a person and more to do with his reputation as the Tyrant)
Moria - Gluttony (he fell into his current sorry state by eating until he looked like a pear)
Hancock - Lust (because of course she is)
Jinbe - Pride (he has his pride a warrior and as the son of the sea, it was also his pride that lead to him being thrown in impel down)
15:50 And since Mihawk didn't have a crew, they figured he would be the most manageable.
What amazing timing given the new chapter 1:21:56
In terms of a "strongest warlord list" including all the warlords as of rn, I'd say they rank like this:
1. Mihawk
2. Blackbeard
3. Law
4. Kuma
5. Weevil
6. Boa
7. Doffy
8. Jinbe
9. Crocodile
10. Moria
11. Buggy
(Croco, Doffy and Jinbe are interchangable)
