- With Bleach Thousand Year Blood War in its second cour, I thought it would be great to take every Quincy from the series and rank; not them on their personal strength, but specifically explain their Schrifts and Abilities. If each quincy power was given to an unbalanced character, what would come out on top and be the strongest? We'll be ranking every quincy schrift, from 1 to 27 from weakest to strongest. In theory, Cang Du is the only Sternritter that can attack while defending himself.
He just chose the worst opponent to fight. Even if Cang Du cannot be hurt, he still can be incapacitated. He doesnt have a chance againts Toshiros Ice.
I was thinking the same thing. He could activate both the Iron and Blut Arterie at the same time, however I seriously doubt Cang Du would've thought of that.
That's why it really pisses me off that blut vene and blut arteries were pretty much dropped after the first invasion. Cang Du would've been a real problem.
@@gig7932 I was thinking the same thing. And the anime where it shows Kommamura's Tengen Myou's blade driving the explosives back into Bambi in slow motion, it would have been cool to see her activating Blute Vene but it still not being enough to offset the explosives before detonation.

After the recent Kubo revealation on the Klub Outside, The Overkill got such a gigantic weakness, it can easily be declared as the worst Schrift. "Each time Driscoll eats, sleeps or is unconcious, all the power gained by Overkill is going away." Wow. Such a shit power. He's essentially powerless after each sleep and meal.

The Mask is actually the shrift. The "fan" James is actually the Quincy. This was actually revealed by Kubo in a Q&A. It blew my mind. I wasn't expecting that.
Also in the scene after mask dies, yhawch says "you did well, james"

Actually, I think the N stands for Nimble (his power to just basically become faster or undetectable). When Sternritter N uses his Sklave Rai (Holy Slave) form, he's named Grimaniel, which translates to the Nimbleness of God. Any of the Sternritters who have or was shown with a Sklave Rai, you can actually guess what the powers of the sternritter are.

If i remember correctly, i believe James is the actual Sternritter whilst Mask De Masculine is a projection by the Schrift
That's just fan canon. Nothing in the manga states that James is the real sternritter, if mask isn't real, or if Mask is a projection.

@@dinolover Actually it does. When Mask died, Yhwach tell "So James is dead. " That implies that James is the real Sternritter. Kubo confirmed it on club outside too I think.

Antithesis is much more than just a damage reverting, he can choose to switch any event between 2 desginated things, for example you can switch the damage done to your broken car to lets say a sign on the road. So basically this thing is Orihime but on crack, he can litterally take all the buff from the Miracle to himself and revert him or disguistingly just crush a random bottle an make it happen to his opponent, yea this aint fair
he can arguably also swap physical locations of two objects as seen by the latest episode where it is highly probable his power is what allowed ywach to escape the cage. If this is indeed the case I'd say his power lets him swap the stats of two objects. So on top of swapping damage and locations if there were a puddle nearby he could potentially swap the state of matter turning the puddle solid and a person into a liquid.

I think Ichi-tan will eventually sacrifice himself to become a new Spirit King and then Ishi-nii will swap with him. Would be perfect to let the dad live out the rest of his life and see his kid grow
I mean, I wouldnt say Orihime on crack - since she can just say "Nope" basically. She has no condition other than herself (and her Fairies ofc), which she got way better with.
But agreed that Ishidas Schrifft is damn cracked for all the points you make. Like - you technically could just kill something, an Ant or whatever and just swap it with the Enemy for an Instakill.

Yes, in the Blu-Ray version, Berenice was aware about Kempachi true Strenght and he still was confident, telling him that his raw power was useless againts the Question.
Lets remember the Quincies were spying the Shinigamis long time ago, so im sure Berenice confident wasnt just wordiness.

While not having read Bleach yet and experiencing the knowledge I have of it thru TH-cam, I think The Fear is one of my favorites I’ve seen. Just the manipulation of something so primal and fundamental is right up my alley

I feel like the Glutton should be a bit higher, as you can technically gain all the other abilities through it, giving it a lot of utility.
Yep. Liltotto uses Menoly's (or was it Loly's, I don't remember exactly) poison Zanpakuto after she ate it in Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World. Theoretically, she can use Pepe's The Love now.
Imagine if she had met Espada number 9 and ate him... That would be the birth of a true world eatter!
I mean sure, you can gain abilities, but that would be assuming things outside of the schrift, which is what is being specifically ranked here
I feel like people underestimate how strong it is to be able to devour anything.
Any Kido is essentially useless. Any attack that rely on spiritual energy can also just be devour to Liltotto’s benefit while also disregarding the effect of said attack. If you’re not careful, even your zanpakuto can be eaten.
Imagine Byakuya uses senbonzakura only for Liltotto to eat the petal blades that come to her.
And let’s talk about Liltotto as a Quincy. She was able to beat a rampaging Meninas without having to rely on her schrift power, seeing as Meninas was simply knocked out without any real damage dealt to her. That imply that Liltotto was skilled of a combatant to defeat a specialized close melee Quincy without needing to utilize her full schrift’s power.
And when Robert was pointing his gun on Liltotto was not even phased the slightest.
Liltotto always get placed pretty low on these Quincy tier list but I think given the implications of her powers, her level-headed intelligence, skill as a fighter, and overall demeanor, I can’t help but think she is actually pretty stronger Sternritter, and at the very least, strongest amongst the Bambies.

Also eating kido might even cause it to explode, kinda of a big assumption her ability nullifies it.

You forgot Shaz Domino' ( although he's kinda forgettable) V the vitability later renamed the Sigma. It allows him the replace damaged parts with reisi pratically making him immortal also automatic and can't turn off. Fun Fact Shaz is a creation of Gremmy much like Gweneal but his schrift allowed him to live on

they're just in the light novel or just straight up unannounced like mask
Bambietta and Bazz-B might be some of the most powerful sternitters that aren't elite guards, but their schrift really aren't that much more than application of raw power which in the context of the ranking being on the abilities on their own without counting the power of it's user doesn't mean much. They have no place being above the likes of the love, the superstar, the wind and the zombie. Same thing for the lightning.
Bambietta is definitely above the zombie and the love. Probably superstar and the wind as well. She can nuke the air around you, making your defensive position worthless. They can’t even approach her. I think bambietta is getting downplayed because she lost to an immortal character. When immortality and reality altering abilities are basically the top the verse has to offer. Every top 10 character has some form of reality altering/immortality, or just absolutely obscene AP. The only reason doggo isn’t talked about much with how powerful his form is was because it was temporary.

big if, she doesn't fight that way, she just sends a whole bunch of bombs in every direction.
The superstar can make somebody dozens of time stronger and the love is an instant one shot that also gives you complete control over whoever you are using it against.
The main reason that they were ranked higher is because they give straight, unconditional strength, unlike things such as Z requiring blood to touch you and other such prerequisites.
Bambietta can 1 shot almost everyone, how is that inferior to the zombie, superstar, etc. Bambietta was treated like madara, the plot couldn't find smth to deal with her and then had to asspull immortality to komamura. Some will argue with the fight hen she was a zombie, but this does not counts as she was highly weakened by being a zombie

This video is about the abilities themselves not the stenght of the characters that have them.
The superstar can make the user several dozens of times stronger, if two quincy start with the same base, one has the superstar the other the explode, the one with the superstar is 100% going to end up being the stronger one.
Well, OBVIOUSLY BG9's Schrift is The Knowledge or The Keen. He's all about collecting Data. He saw Mukyu Shunko for a couple seconds and analysed it completely, granting him an opening and a counter. Even when Juhabach had ordered them to Annihilate the Shinigamis Instantly, his geek-ass waited to collect more data about her before finishing her off.
He prolly also used the ability to turn himself into that robot
in my personal opinion i rank the K just below the x-axis and above the balance
the K has a lot of potential it can make the user unstoppable as any attacks abilities can be countered by gaining new powers accordingly to the situations he's in

Dont think that saying Candice's attack neutralised Getsuga is fair bc clearly Ichigo used a small amount of his power to neutralise the attack from Candice.
Its more a testament to Ichigo that he has such control over his power now.
Right. He limited that getsuga just to make sure it destroyed the attack with ease, and told her to dodge. If ichigo had killing intent the getsuga would have annihilated her entirely. It was already shown that he could speed blitz all of those quincies to the point they couldn’t even perceive him.
Candice still neutralized it by HERSELF! Give the girls their props like it’s not going to kill y’all. The Getsuga clashed her Electrocution but she still handled it with a loss of an arm.

I hate them. Yes. They are cool. But they completely don’t align with the image of a whiny. It’s one thing if uryu slowly gained crazy abilities like this so we knew that they could do this. But it just kinda became a thing. It kinda removes all identity and difference between the Quincy and the soul reapers
Didn’t the anime proved that Quincys used Sklaverei to enhance their Vollständig, explaining why some more unique than most. Although they probably didn’t announce it and used it automatically, or I could be wrong.
Also I feel like the Love is superior to the Zombie considering the love can work with the user still looking normal and it doesn’t require a limited condition like Giselle and her blood. Also I thought the reason the love didn’t work on Byakuya was because he was wearing Oken clothes.
Yeah, you're right on both points.
The Love is much harder to hit and cant heal unlike the Zombie, Giselle can pretty much indefinitely heal as long as theres blood around
1. Yes the Sklaverei (Holy Slave) Enhances the form and power. And no, the Holy Slave has to be invoked, can't just be done on autopilot, not everyone uses it however... which is funny considering it's an all out war on their sworn enemies.
2. The love is not superior to the zombie considering one The love has to be directed continuously to each target that is afflicted. The zombie can automatically continue any command given, it's just able to be overwritten. Ontop of that, There's a mass AoE that it can work on, while the love takes longer to work and can be dodged if the attack itself misses. The zombie just requires blood to reach the target in weak cases and only runs into the same stipulation with stronger class of enemies.
3. there's also the point that the zombie gives the user neigh immortality until their blood runs out, and outside of that, their bodies are pretty much indestructable as long as there are corpses which have been tainted with the users blood. All of their flesh, muscle, and blood can be transfused to the user, or anything but blood can be given to someone in their range.
I figured he did fall in love with him, but knew he was not only turned, but loved him enough to kill him without mercy because that's how thoughtful he is
@@SirTimidFlash Considering that the Love can directly counter Giselle's ability though it does kind of make it easy to see why it is considered superior. It's kinda like Tsukishima's ability, but ranged and has no drawbacks of leaving you vulnerable someone having a violent personality that would make them kill anyone, even their friend or savior. Love is just impossible to counter once it actually connects and still keeps the controlled people capable of thinking for themselves and working at peak form unlike the zombies which don't universally keep their mind.
Finally, Giselle can run out of blood. Pepe clearly can do his bullshit as much as he wants as long as there is any reishi around.

There is actually a clear reason why Gremmy isn't actually one of the strongest Sternritters but only one of the most dangerous. He isn't included as one of the Royal Guards because his powers are based on his mentality and not from the strength of his spirit/willpower. In that sense he wouldn't get any stronger from ashwalen like the other Royal Guards.
His Schrift is called the Visionary for a reason, and not the Imaginator or Thinker. It's clear he uses Reishi to manipulate matter and the laws of physics based on Kenpachi's observation within their fight. It's also the reason why he couldn't just convert Kenpachi's bones into cookies because it would take too much mental effort.
He did make Kenpachis bones into cookies though.

Your explanation of the schrifts is great, but your rankings are very unique, you placed some Quincies in some strange spots, but each time their own, it was interesting!
My favorite Schrift is a 3 way tie between H the Heat, V the Visionary, and Y the Yourself mostly cause how they have some serious power but can only truly be brought to their full potential but being creative with them.
Askin Nakk Lee Var for some reason has been my favorite quincy since i saw him in the manga his style and power is all dope
kinda funny how the visionary is a super OP ability but the weakness is literally your intrusive thoughts.
Schrifts are one of the cooler parts of Bleach, many were very unique powers that, outside of Hunter X Hunter, you don't really see in anime

I think for Y the point was supposed to be even the narrator got them mixed up because they both showed being able to copy abilities, but it could also just be Kubo getting mixed up
No the one that beat Kenpachi and fought Yamamoto can uniquely copy personality and memories. Any ability he used was either his own or through Yhwach’s memories.
@@ChromaticEagle Kenpachi fought one and he said it became just as strong as him and he killed him. Then Yamamoto fought a second one who was equally as strong as Yhwach. Both were shown to have the strength copy when the narrator says only 1 has it. It doesn't make sense so either the narrator is playing into the gimmick of not telling them apart, or Kubo messed up

I think the Underbelly should be lower. It’s way too situational. It only works if Nanana can observe the opponent for a substantial amount of time, and as shown when he tried to fight Byakuya, if the opponent is strong enough to be worth using the Underbelly on, it’s unlikely he can last long enough to fire it off.
If I remember correctly, The Underbelly didn't work against Byakuya only because of the Oken clothing he was wearing.

Tbf tho, bankai kenpachi cut him straight through and in half and the cross was visibly in the middle of that cut completely unharmed, also considering it seems to reside in his head which was completely erased by Byakuya and Tosen it seems that the cross is basically indestructible 😂

Another one who got it wrong, Kubo didn't say the cross can be destroyed, he said Gerard would die IF the cross could be destroyed, it can't because it's not a physical object.

My favorite schrift is the explode cause you can do SO much with explosions and it’s AWESOME

Ichigo is a quincy, meaning he can have the innate soul trait/ ability that quincy possess.
There's also a particular statement from yhwach wherein yhwach says that ichigo has the ability to manipulate the fate (just for that moment) with his determination and hope, and says that it's very similar to that of almighty, but almighty does this to a multitude of possible futures (and not just to the one that's right infront of them).
This very well could be ichigo's innate ability, since the theme in the entirety of bleach has always been ichigo facing an adversary who challenges ichigo and pushes him to the point of breakdown, but he walk out of it through his sheer "Hope". And after each instance, the graveness of mental breakdown increases, while ichigo's "hopes" also increase along with them. (Only time we do see ichigo not being hopeful is when he was chasing yhwach, and you can argue it's because ichigo's quincy powers were silenced by yhwach at this point).
Well before even this he asks for a sword that can change fate. considering hes also the main character with "plot armor" ichigo would need to be number 1 on this list. he beat yhwach well before the battle by changing the fate of everyone uryu being the ending to all of this is poetic on so many levels. ichigo changed him from thsi almsot villian into a guy who took back everything for his people and did what yhwach couldnt.
if thats not ichigos power theres a good chance we may get to see it in the future. the author already stated that hybrids can use any and all powers of there race.

The Miracle is just DC's Doomsday but anime, and The Compulsory is probably the abject weirdest Schrift on the list, because of just how freaky "nerve ending hijack" is. Gotta say though, E - The Explode is the one I'd want to have if I was ever in a battle series, it just looks so fun!
The visionary might have another downside that we're not even told about, Gremmy almost lost because he imagined himself losing... there's just no way he would forget that detail 🤦🏻♂️ it's like saying someone swimming underwater forgot to hold their breath, it's not something you can just forget when you're constantly thinking the exact opposite... and you can't possibly tell me he was scared that Kenpachi would win when he could pretty much spam meteorites and Kenpachi wouldn't be able to keep it up forever.
Gremy can be beat by anyone who taunts their opponents
@@barryallen2240 not true, heck that fight was closer than it seemed, kenpachi was exhausted after it, if Gremmy could've kept going a little longer he would've definitely won.

The only downside is Gremmy's lack of battle experience and his "childish" ego. He never really fought before, and his first true opponent was someone who is intimidating even when not trying to. If he was a seasoned Quincy with a better understanding about his own subconscious, he would be nearly unstoppable.
Man my boy Lille my favorite because he’s the best sniper and has and owl-dragon form which looks beautiful.

Wow your intro just gave me a kind of epiphany. How a special quincy can give people powers. Maybe that is a better explanation for Chad and Orihime's powers or mainly Orihime's since Chad's was considered a Fullbring. Maybe Ichigo is like Ywha Bach (howerever you spell his name) and gave people powers, unknowingly, but because he's more than just a Quincy, the power's he gave to people were not the same as Quincy powers. With their power's being so unique because Ichigo is unique and the best way to classify them was calling them Fullbrings. It's a theory I've never heard before and it does kinda make sense after you said special Quincies can give powers and it was stated that Ichigo's leaking spiritual power was at least partly responsible for Chad and Orihime's powers and it could partly explain why the Shinigami that were closest to Ichigo became so strong. At the very least it's an interesting idea
Kubo did an excellent job balancing each if the shrifts in that they don’t necessarily out power one another in most cases
As much as I don’t like Pepe’s character, I’d argue that The Love is stronger than The Zombie. Pepe doesn’t lose any blood using his ability, the controlled are equal in strength as before control, and it can even apply to zanpakuto. There was no indication that The Love could be reversed unless you kill Pepe, but The Zombie was overtaken by Mayuri’s drug. Just sayin
Pepe even directly stated that his love overpowers giselle's zombies and he can steal them.
The Zombie has a little bit more utility though. If all you need to do is splatter some of your blood on someone, it's easier to bait them into a trap (just get them to cut you and it's gg). Meanwhile Pepe has to shoot out a beam that most opponent's are going to try and instinctively avoid. Also, the Zombie has some passive effects like allowing the user to survive fatal wounds and being able to regrow lost limbs with the organic tissue of other bodies. The Love, on the other hand, is kind of a one-trick pony.

Zombie also doesn't do anything against long range opponent's or anyone who wouldn't produce blood (fire, ice, etc)
Both have niche advantages and disadvantages, but when used against eachother, love is better.
@@TheGuzeinbuickyeah the love is definitely better. The zombie literally has a condition for it to activate. While pepe can spam projectiles and once you get hit it's over. And just like the other one said, it's absolutely useless on users that fight in long range which uses some sort of magic or elemental attack.

Regarding the Lloyds - they had the impersonation ability since birth. And Askin did not include them among the Quincy who only received honorary schrifts like Pernida or Gerard. That means the schrift must have added something to their innate abilities. I always thought it stood to reason that Royd could copy the opponent's power too, since he was able to go toe to toe with Yamamoto. A normal Sternritter had no hope whatsoever of doing that.
Kubo himself has confirmed in Klub Outside that each twin can do complete mimicry of both powers and personality, but the one who didn't have the particular branch of power from birth can do it slightly less effectively, at about 80% efficiency. Royd being at about 80% of Yhwach's power would explain how he was able to stand up to Bankai Yamamoto
I think x axis is more dangerous than the death dealing. You cant block it and you cant pierce him. No wonder kyoraku couldnt kill him by himself

I never really liked most of the Sternritter because most of their abilities was just "No, I win." There was counterbalance to it make so strong.
Kubo actually revealed that both traits of the yourself ability is shared between both brothers and the only difference is that the one trait copies 80 percent while the other copies 100 percent. It explains why the one brother is seemingly strong enough to take on Yamamoto.

If I were to say my favorite schrift I would probably say The Visionary. But a close second is definitely The Wind
Visonary is kinda scary thought it was hella op but if you just imagine your could die that sounds scary tbh don’t believe in your self for a second your thought goes some where else it’s gg
My favorite schrift was M before I watched this, Now I'm thinking I could get more use out of either B or V irl.
Definetly the balance because with the visionary EVERYTHING you imagine comes true, if you think of your death then you die on the spot

Mask de Masculline is the representation of James' Schrift and power. As weird as it sounds, when killed Yhwach pretty much called James' name rather than Mask... It was a way to tell that the user of the Superstar was James all along.
But they both can revive each other, so I think who is the real James/Mask doesn't matter, they can be considered as one!
The balance is easily 2nd and can be number 1 purely if the list was about combat. The balance counters everything in the series. And a lot of people think that Jugram needs to be affected by something in order to use the Balance but that's simply not true, Jugram can use the Balance anytime he wants to as shown in the series all it takes is for an enemy to be a bit fortuned and he can manipulate that freely. Whether the enemy uses a Bankai or anything else it counts as fortune and Jugram manipulates it all.
I’m pretty sure that’s how he broke ichigos blade, because the bankai was a fortunate thing. Uryus ability is very strong too though and I’d argue the reason why he was losing to Jugram is only because he also has almighty amp.
Nah, Gremmy, Lille, Uryu , and Gerard are all above him. Their abilities negate the balance

Read bleach before you're spreading misinformation, Uryu himself was about to get killed by Jugram, you know nothing.

The Iron should be higher on the list because Cang Du doesn’t need to switch between Blut Vein and Blut Aterie. This was the only reason Quilge couldn’t kill Ichigo.
Jugram didn't take Uryus injuries with his Schrift, he told Uryu to use his Schrift The Antithesis to transfer said injuries to him.
