I've had some symptoms that mimic the symptoms of what autonomic dysfunction is like. I also have diabetes so idk if that was the cause or not. Any advice? Thank you!!!!
I had autonomic neuropathy from alcohol. Stuff like leaking bladder and heat intolerance which cleared up after several months of abstinence. Diabetes is a well known contributor to nerve damage.

RE "Most accurate tests": The current convention is to estimate the abundance of vitamin B12 using total serum vitamin B12 as the first-line screen for deficiency. However this test has a low sensitivity. Up to 45% of vitamin B12-deficient/insufficient subjects may be overlooked if only serum B12 is used as a screening test. Active B12 (holotranscobalamin - holoTC) is the metabolically active portion of B12. Emerging evidence indicates that a low level of Active B12 is a more reliable marker of impaired vitamin B12 status than a low level of serum vitamin B12. Moreover unlike serum B12, Active B12 is believed to be stable in pregnancy. Several studies support Active B12 measurement as a first-line diagnostic test, and suggest that Active B12 may be the earliest marker for B12 depletion. AND RE HydroxoCbl: there's a U.S. sub-lingual product (OTC) available that combines all 3 good cobalamins in a lipid 'container'.

I’ve lived with spine pain most of my life. Had surgery 15 years ago to help. The one thing that made a huge difference in the pain was suggested by a spine surgeon, and that is High Omega 3 fish or krill oil. I purchased a bottle of Carlsons high omega 3, lemon flavored fish oil. I took 1 tablespoon in the morning after having something to eat and again with dinner. Within 3 weeks or less my pain level was equal to taking a narcotic pain pill. Try it. I was shocked at the difference. Another good brand is Nordic Naturals. Count the total omega 3’s and don’t go over 10,000. If you do it can thin your blood too much.
Also try turmeric/ curcurmin (with olive oil or fat along with black pepper) It can reduce pain. Be careful taking opioids. My mother had back pain, used pain meds, had a surgery and then while still under some of the pain med they had her on, she took some of her regular pain meds and then aspirated in her sleep. Try to go natural as much as possible.❤
You said in another video that calcium supplementation will counter the effects of metformin on B12 absorption. This is not great for seniors like me because more calcium in the bloodstream leads to arterial calcification. A better solution for older adults like me is saturation bombiing with a daily dose of 5000 mg of Vitamin D3+K2 along with 10000 mcg of B12. M 21:14 y doctor recommended 1000 mcg twice daily of metformin to handle my diabetes type 2. But she is clueless about my needs for B12 - so thank you for this great advice on this channel. Please comment on my idea of saturation bombing with B12 and D3+K2. What are the caveats?
This is not necessarily true. You absorb fat soluble in the small intestine not the gallbladder but the bile in the gallbladder does help the absorption.
Thanks Doctor for the great work,in this video you doubt the efficacy of B12 injections,so how do people with malabsorption issues and lack of intrinsic factor get the B12 without being interrupted?
Most of the the vegan vegetarian vitamin B12 foods recommended are high in oxalates. Such a delicate balance with everything. I believe a balanced diet without and/or limited processed foods or synthetic vitamins is just the most critical part, whether you eat animal products or are vegetarian/vegan. Soy..what!

@@AnnaMaria-zm8cv there are no severe side effects from B12 injections unless you have a cobalt allergy. And the chances of that are miniscule.
The Doctor told you that because they do not want to spend their budget on nurses giving injections.
A fantastic channel. Very informative.
Thank you👍🙏👌
Very valuable and eye opening!!
Brilliant video thanks 😊 ❤
This was so thorough and informative. Thank you so much doctor.❤
Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing knowledge.

So much valuable information given here.Thank you so much doctor
I did a MMA test at a local hospital in Thailand and it came back normal. Cost me $500.00 as well.
Dear Dr. Montero. Thank you so much about the ingredients in Soymilk as natural flavor. I've been using organic Soya milk since I was diagnosed with estrogen type of breast cancer. Thinking im doing a good thing. The so called Natural Flavor is just a hidden thing of Cyanocobalamin. Now I'm looking for a good milk without all thus garbage in it. I'm on a mission. Thanks again Dear Dr. Montero. ❤ You are awesome 👌
Also I read carrageenan in products is terrible for the gut and can harm gut health. It’s seaweed derived but processed to be hard on digestive tract
@@kikigirlkauai yes I know that too. But the natural flavor is like a smoke screen
I have thyroid disease and was recently reading on subject of soy milk. Organic Coconut milk was recommended as an alternative due to not affecting hormones and because the MCT oils are good for thyroid disease. Maybe this would also be better in breast cancer??
Carageenen is carcinogenic.
Hi Dr. Thank you, i am learning.
Useful information . Thanks
Thank you very much.
What....I'm on my way to vitamin store 😢😢. I'm talking the form of Vitamin B that's #1 to avoid. Wow...Thankyou for educating Me....on this topic. I'm definitely subscribing.
Great video thanks Dr montero u are awesome
Awww...shucks. Thanks so much. It's such a privilege to help. Blessings.
Thanks so much for your videos. It so good.
Sublingual Methylcobalamin is very cheap & avoids the lack of intrisic factor (cobalamin binding intrinsic factor, aka gastric intrinsic factor-GIF) necessary for the absorption of vitamin B12 later on in the distal ileum of the small intestine.
Why is this fact not being addressed in comparison to alternatives?
So, B12 needs to be taken with SM?
@@lucylucy2171 methylcobalamin IS B12. Sublingual means it's absorbed directly into the bloodstream when placed under the tongue.
@@lsd22252 I know what sublingual means. I just thought Methylcobalamin was something different. Thaks for the clarification though
I keep forgetting between the two. Now I’m just going to remember Meth 🤣

Same to you
Are you stupid? Why would Allah bless a non Muslim woman
Greetings Dr. Please tell me if this product is available in India

Dr thanks a lot for the wonderful and most educative video. Very enlightening. I have a question, sometimes some have uric acid and they can't take fish, mushroom, chicken and they happen to be B12 deficient. How can we mitigate this contradiction? Can you please answer.
I bought the two products

P5P is not available in pakistan.please compel the vitamin companies to use P5P instead of pyridoxine in their formulations at affordable prices. This is imperative. Thx.
Who has authority to do this?
Just checked my B Complex and guess what?? I'm slowly poisoning myself😢. I'm just going for the food option. Thanks Doc. ❤❤

Hi, very interesting. I'm on Johannesburg, South Africa.🙏
Please do video about placebo B12 products like Nori, Miso, Lion Maine, Spirulina, Chlorella.... Do they really have placebo B12 and does it block active B12? Thanks

I take 3600mg of gabbapentin to control the absolute worst chemo induced nerve pain now I hear that can cause heart problems. What do I do?
Finally, she advocates p5p. However, even a glance at wikipedia says: "It has been proposed that vitamin B6 in supplements should be in pyridoxal or pyridoxal phosphate form [pyridoxal phosphate is p5p] rather than pyridoxine as these are thought to reduce the likelihood of toxicity.[24][35] A tissue culture study, however, showed that all B6vitamers that could be converted into active coenzymes (pyridoxal, pyridoxine and pyridoxamine) were neurotoxic at similar concentrations.[19]"
Wonderful information.ations
I was suffering multiple sclerosis due to demyelinating sheath dse.. i asked my neuro if i needed to take b12..his answer .."no" and this makes me sad coz i knew i needed this kind of vitamins
Alot of times the Doctors will forbid things that we really need. My trust in any or them is minimal.
You must be your own advocate. Do all the research you can on your illnesses. Never leave it in the hands of a doctor. God Bless 🙌🏻
Thanks alot. Good info 👍
Very informative.
Vitamin B6, Saved my life. That along with tyrosine. I recovered from depression following a protocol that included these.
That's wonderful. How much B6 did you take with tyrosine? Could you share your protocol?
Hi,
I watched you video saying that nerves can heal for peripheral nerves, but I wanted to ask if the autonomic nervous system can heal as well? I've had some symptoms that mimic the symptoms of what autonomic dysfunction is like. I also have diabetes so idk if that was the cause or not. Any advice?
Thank you!!!!
I had autonomic neuropathy from alcohol. Stuff like leaking bladder and heat intolerance which cleared up after several months of abstinence. Diabetes is a well known contributor to nerve damage.
What about B12 for Shingles?
Thank you for your channel ❤I find very informative, I have a allergies on foods, nichel , vitamins and medicine 💊, I’m concerned that I’m definitely needing vit b12 and others, how to supply my body needs? Thank you 🙏 so much! ❤
Can you do a video about common household cleaning products and what you might want to use and avoid? I've read that some carpet cleaners contain 'forever' chemicals that are harmful. I've also read that dry cleaning chemicals are also similarly dangerous and you can be exposed by just taking your clothes to the cleaners. I'm curious about other cleaning products.
Thank you

Great video.
What your thoughts on Vitamin B 12 injections?
Especially if one is extremely has deficiency in B12
B 12 as you know great for anemia and if you have nerve issues
In the video I give a bit of my opinion here: th-cam.com/video/Y38cFftiV2w/w-d-xo.html
It depends upon some factors
@@NerveDoctors OK. Thanks. I viewed the video again. You stated in the video if its muscular realted.
Although I'm have muscle spasms it may also be nerve related
I thought she was talking about intramuscular injections. Not muscular involvement being treated. My doc gave me the wrong injectable b12 so i stopped taking it. I just take a rather expensive vitamin/mineral liquid supplement now and my levels of D, B12 have come back up to the middle range from the bottom of the low ranges. (Edit) Even with the liquid supplement i only take it every other day or so instead of the daily recommended because i have stopped trusting anything.
CAN U PUT all the vids together 4 the b vitamins and also nerve repair ,
Thank you for your thoroughness, this is very helpful. Tally-ho!

Hello can you please recommend something for nerve impingement at L4/L5 and L5/S1. Please pain is excruciating. Thanks😢
They never answer these type qs
Have no space between L4,L5,S1...
After very slow spinal twists and backward bending YOGIC poses have recovered full mobility....God be praised...
@@sheila7814 I tried the turmeric/ curcumin and I broke out in hives. Something about it did not go well.
What is a good multi vitamin for men over 60?
Dont forget having your Gallbladder out means you can not absorb b12 it nearly killed me useless Doctor left me suffering for 6 years😢
Nearly killed you how? Because you didn’t absorb it well? Or because you took some and then your body couldn’t process it?
This is not necessarily true. You absorb fat soluble in the small intestine not the gallbladder but the bile in the gallbladder does help the absorption.
Doctor you are MOST HIGH!!! Major information!! Excellent!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏👍💯🔥😘😘
Wow, thank you
P5P caused me severe reaction- immediate nausea, fatigue and malaise.
Thanks Doctor for the great work,in this video you doubt the efficacy of B12 injections,so how do people with malabsorption issues and lack of intrinsic factor get the B12 without being interrupted?
You take the sublingual form. It's easily available. Either liquid or small tablets that disappear when you hold them under the tongue.
Some research shows that subliguals are not so efficient
How much should we take I'm 72 6.0 height et spx 293
Hi doc can i take B12 and B6 vitamin both or just one of them which one is better to take i am from Jamaica thank much for this information
My B12 supplement after bariatric surgery is cyanocobalamin. 500 micrograms as a liposomal. Is this one OK?
Before you go dock can you list the b vitamens in vitamin b conplex
Most of the the vegan vegetarian vitamin B12 foods recommended are high in oxalates. Such a delicate balance with everything. I believe a balanced diet without and/or limited processed foods or synthetic vitamins is just the most critical part, whether you eat animal products or are vegetarian/vegan. Soy..what!
How do we know what brand to buy?
