This is a great video. I found out I had a busted intake tube when changing the water pump 2 days ago. During the process, I even broke off a piece and it was brittle already. I had to make a spot decision to just put duct tape on it and put in back in like that. Not to mention, it was a pain to put back in. I spent more time on the tube re-install than with anything else. I'm looking for a new intake tube. Thanks!

You definitely know your way around these engines . Very helpful video ! Do you know if the M271 turbo engine in the C250 1.8 liter turbo has an EGR valve ? I cant see one but its very tight packaging . If there is an EGR valve where is it ? Thanks .
I noticed there is a K&N filter in that car. The mechanic I used to go to told me not to use those as it screws up the MAF and O2 sensors. K&N says there should not be a problem... who do I believe? Have you had any problems with the K&N?
KN filters alone don’t mess up cars. Over-oiling a KN air filter will mess with the car. Over-oiling any cotton based filter (even if not a KN filter) will mess with the car.

Has anyone ever had a problem with the temp gauge moving up and down and I already replaced the entire thermostat and flushed my coolant as well ? Any ideas or solutions ?
I've seen people in the W204 facebook groups talk about this. I think someone did have an answer for it. You should go search in the facebook groups.
Does replace the tube really give you better performance?

What sensor is that final connection end of the air intake? I seen that my connection has been missing wanting to figure out what it’s called?
Honestly, I’m not really sure. I don’t even think you can buy it separately because when any portion of the OEM intake tube pipe fails, Mercedes only offers a replacement pipe that included everything. I’ve never see individual parts of it being sold. That’s why I had to reuse the sensor on my aftermarket pipe.

Hey flex by any chance do u know what this sensor is called 5:56 and what it connects to. I realize that it’s missing the connection to it so wanted to see if you knew what connection it connects to
Sorry. No clue. I think it’s just an air sensor but I don’t think Mercedes sells it separately cause they want you to buy the entire huge pipe. Best way to get it is find a used pipe and take it off.
What did you do for the air intake duct hose that brings air to the box?

I removed my air intake tube on my 2012 c250 mb and cant get the bottom on, is there a trick to put it back on? HELP please.
It also helps to take out the inside rubber piece...and use a plier to "slightly spread open" the plastic end of the tube so it's wider. Put the rubber piece back in, and then I used WD40 to lubricate the inside of the rubber piece. And then I held the entire tube in a vertical position while pushing on the bottom part of the tube back onto the car.
Then I tightened the clamp. Done.
Or take the rubber piece out of the end of the tube and put the rubber piece on the car. "Spread open" the end of the tube. Put some WD40 on the rubber piece while it's still on the car. Then push the plastic end of the tube onto the rubber piece that's already on the car. Then tighten the clamp and you're done.
Flexx i need your help big time, my car keeps missing oil and im not seeing no leaks, im thinking of replacing the pcv valve. I see no smoke coming out the muffler so i don’t know if that would be valve seals 😢
Then you’re probably burning oil. You need to see a mechanic asap.
I am definitely burning oil but i dont know if id have to replace the valve seals or just the pcv valve

@@MrCuervo22779 Considering the parts are like 300 dollars i would personally esimate the repair at like 450 or more but this is the stealership so ad 50% lmao i doubt they overpriced it cause shes a woman, they charge the same bogus ass prices to anyone who will pay them lol

@@TheFlexxGarage well, see my tube is beyond repair. Initially, searching for repairs for that tube led me to the video you just sent me. Then that video led me here. Therefore I asked, do I really have to just replace the whole damn thing? But ok. I'll be buying an upgraded version of the intake tube from somewhere better than mercedes and will be installing myself. I'll check out turbo tuning first.

Yes. They are the distributor for tornado tuning. They use to distributor phone accessories but switched to automotive parts.

Hey Flexx, miss your vids on the c250, I wanted to see if you knew what part number that lower sensor that you had to swap over to the new pipe is, wondering if mine needs replaced but cannot find that lower sensor anywhere.
I don’t remember. Easiest way is to take the part number off the actual part that’s on your car. And then plug that part number into FCP euro or Autohaus.
