Thanks for the comments, they were definitely worn out. The Mercedes is running great after all these common maintenance repairs. Glad you enjoyed the video, Cheers!
Thanks for the question, only the spark plugs needs to be replaced every 60k. The coils only need to be changed when they are faulty. Since we had one causing a misfire, we decided it would be best to replace all of them now so we wouldn't be back changing another one in 3 months. Typically when one goes bad, they all start to fail. Good luck on your Mercedes project, Cheers!
Thanks for the question, you will only need to change them if you are currently getting a misfire code. Since you have to remove them to change the spark plugs, it's a good time to replace the coils if any of them are giving you trouble. they should however last for 100k+ miles. Good luck on your Mercedes project. Cheers!
Thank you Bradley, can you believe my now ex boyfriend said this would be 100$ for each ig coil and 100$ for each spark plug I found some for my model for everything included 100$ for 4 ig coils and 4 spark plugs 😂 gonna do it myself
Thanks for the comments Krista, it sounds like you are better off now, he would have cost you too much in the long run. Even the OEM kit with plugs and coils is only $232. If you go with the OE aftermarket the cost comes down to $173. Good luck on your Mercedes project, let us know how it goes. Cheers!
Thanks for the comments, not sure why I included the S Class in my list at the end, that was a mistake. Here in the states, these parts were only used on the C250 and SLK250 cars from 2012-2015. Cheers!
I didn't expect the old plugs to look that bad. Great video!!
