@chickens366, yup. If people would actually watch each of my videos...they would know when I talked about it. Hahaha...it’s like people only watching fast and furious 8 and asking “where’s Brian?”
You should dyno it. Make sure its tuned properly. It's so easy to get boost creep and you have to make sure your air fuel ratios r safe with a boosted motor. Granted I'm sure it can take it cause its Mercedes but this is their new motor so who knows
I know flex moved on to bigger things but you can push 22 psi safely if you do a wastegate upgrade the stock wastegate is trash and won’t hold the boost constantly
Hello Eric, based on your comment I’m inferring that you installed a boost regulator yourself. How is it holding up now? Did you have any issues or did you have to lower the boost pressure?
@@diarfejzullahu9623 you would have to change the wastegate to a mamba wastegate so that you can turn the boost up the engine isn’t the issue it’s the wastegate and the stock Components
Good day from Australia. My daily is a 2011 E250. Same exact engine with your C250. I don’t have a boost gauge and I’m not sure if I wanna add one so for now I’ll rely on my OBDII reading. (I’ve read your opinion about its accuracy from one of the comments above but til I decide to add a boost gauge, I guess that’ll do) My questions are: 1. apart from a GFB blow-off valve (same as what you have on your C) and a drop in K&N filter, my engine is stock. If I follow your procedure from your video, fully close it by turning clockwise til tight and then turning counter clockwise 2 full turns. Will that give me enough extra boost to actually feel the difference and yet stay safe for my engine? 2. Instead of taking the clamp and pulling the stock hose, would there be a difference if I just cut the stock hose and attach the boost controller in between? Cheers!
Hey flex I have a question man. I bought a cheap boost controller off eBay (Ik lol 1st mistake) and after I push 18-19psi it seems like my waste gate gets stuck because it hisses out air upon acceleration. Now when I turn off the car and turn it back on the issue goes away. When I take off the controller and put stock hoses on the issue never occurs, so my question is have you ever encountered an issue like mine before or the overboost check engine light turning on? Open to any thoughts brotha have a good one!
Flexx o got c180 2012 so far I've put tornado air filter now ive ordered a silicone pipe from tornado is the turbo upgrade same fitting as a c250 on a c180
wontt the ECU over ride the manual control thinking something is wrong? This would make ECU programing for $2000 not worth it I never seen this on ny beznz before
Any concern with the screw on the boost controller backing out with engine vibration etc or is it in there pretty snug? Any way to ensure it doesnt move once adjusted? Essentially you can use any manual boost controller in the same fashion, but should buy a tornado tuning unit, right Flexx?
Hey. Do you what the pipe you pulled off is called. I got a boost regulator and was told to cut my existing pie in half to fit this in line but dont really want to do that. Want to add a piece incase I need to remove it for whatever reason. Thanks
Hi flex, i have E200 CGI that use the same engine as yours M271evo, I've install a boost gauge and it when max to 10psi. I've purchased the same gfb boost controller and turn counterclockwise 2 time and 5 time but my psi doesn't go any higher. Still the same 10psi max. Is there any suggestion or help? I've installed the exact same way as you did
Hey Flexx, I tried it on my C250 and shortly afterwards my car has a problem doing cold starts. It starts up sounding like it’s missing, ( it jumps around and feels like a cylinder is not firing), and the engine light comes on. After I let it warm up a bit and shut it off, (approximately 2 minutes or so), it starts up and runs just fine. I took it off and still does it at cold starts. My dealer says there was not enough power or pressure getting to the turbo, but when driving it runs good and hard. I also have the DV+ Blow-off valve and Turbo muffler delete as well. Did I do something wrong?
Make sure you don't have a tear or any leaks in any of your hoses , check sparkplugs ,check your boost sensor and check to see that you installed it correctly
If there’s a check engine light…then read the error code and it will tell you what the fault is. No point in wasting time guessing the issue. That’s what the check engine light is for. You probably either have a leak or you have the standard c250 camshaft adjuster issue unrelated to the mod. I made a separate video on that common issue.
I took it down cause people didn’t like where I tapped the line for the gauge. They said I should tap it after the throttle body where the intake manifold is.
You can reach out to my sponsors at Tornado Tuning. I believe they still offer a plug and play dongle to the OBD2 port that can remap the m271 engine for a stage 1 tune. Their contact info is usually in the video description. Or…you take the car to a shop that specializes in tuning and you have them custom tune the ecu.
Do a "Drive around at night, and drive with your shifter paddle" we want to hear the sound of ur car at night, we we want see the atmosphere, you know? stuffs like that ... or do a video showing us all the mods and the changes it has brough to the car, show us the before and did any mode on the car at all vs now
Mate ive done a lil digging. Now im more confused than before. Why dis you connect the boost control there instead of totally bypassing the stock/original boost control on your C250? So now you basically have 2 boost controls running your car?
Newer style cars still require the turbo boost controlled by the ECU using sensors. Installing the manual boost control inline will still use the ECU but trick the system to make more boost, safety. If I were to bypass the system completely, there’s a good chance the car will go into limp mode and/or run the risk of overboost without much protection.
Flexx Alexander thanks for that mate. Youre right. I did try to bypass the stock boost control completely. Like yours, was running 15-16psi stock. After bypassing the system, i didnt reach 19psi until approximately 15 counter clockwise turns on the adjustment. I can hear air leaking from the boost control when i hit the trottle as i reckon its almost fully open.
Flexx Alexander since i bypass the stock booster. I cant get the boost pressure i wanted which was 19psi til about 16 counter turns. Then i did the same install as you did and 1 1/2 turns i reached 19psi but im running a bit too rich i reckon. I uninstalled the booster for now. Ill prolly get a tune when i reinstall it. Idk.
No I don’t. My titles literally say c250 when I do performance mods. I own a white c300 but that didn’t get any performance upgrades. Plus I’m in the US. I don’t know what a c200 is. We only have a c250, c300, and c63 in this body style.
@TheFlexxGarage You've added a blow off valve, a Turbo charge pipe, a turbo inlet pipe, a upgraded intercooler, a carbon air filter and intake all to the white C300. Am I missing something coz its got a turbo on it.
No i didn’t. I literally just told you my c250 is the turbo engine with the mods and the c300 white I haven’t done anything too because it’s a 6cyl. And secondly…look at the thumbnail to the mod videos. Do you see a white c300? Lol
Did you message them like i mentioned in the video description? The only way to know is to message them directly. I never mention their website (if you went there) in my videos cause it doesn’t have everything they sell.
keep up thr great job you are doing teaching us all theys ricks ,love your work
Can you put the video online with the boost gauge install? As far as I can see it is private. Thanks
Hey Flex, After doing all the stuff u have done to your C250 do you know your overall specs, like HP and TQ
Asked him this before. Got left on read.. lmfao was probably not worth the amount of money poured into the vehicle.

Aye dawg what happened to the boost gage video?
Hey Flexx, dig your videos man. Have you done a GDI cleaning on your car?
U should put the car on a Dyno and see what it churns out..
Kevin Wambugu SERIOUSLY!!! I'M SO CURIOUS

No. A vacuum line is physically connected to the system and is much better and more accurate. But...that’s just my opinion.
This Actually Does Not Add More Boost This Simply Only Adjust The Amount Of Boost In The Turbo
