    Excellent video! One question. Mine is now leaking where the coolant pipe hooks into the coolant recirculation pump. Is there some sort of o ring in there? One fell out of when I took off the old pipe but the new pipe didn't come with one so I used the old one but I don't know if I got it in the correct position. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

      Thanks for the comments Doug, sorry to hear you are having trouble with your MBZ. We are not exactly sure which hose you are referring to, however here is the diagram for the cooling circuit. Let us know if that helps you out.

    So when I replace any O rings, I don't use OEM ones, cause they're just replacement rubber ones which will become bridle again in a few years....I bought a multi sized silicone O-ring tray and I try to use them in as many places as I can....Hope they last longer, ya know? Allegedly, silicone is more resistant to heat and most of the chemicals found in cars.... I know it's not your car and also understand you want to show the owner that you're using OEM parts and not responsible for any premature failures.....way to go man, awesome work as usual!

      Thanks for the comments Ski, not sure what material the OEM ones are but they are not just plain rubber. I know it's hard to tell in the video but they have a blue/grey hue to them so they must have some properties to deal with the heat. You would think Mercedes has designed something that shouldn't fail in 70k miles.
      Thanks again for hanging out, appreciate the feedback.
      Cheers!

    So my feed line has a crack in it and is leaking I was gonna just replace especially since it’s right there on top, but should I do these O rings as well there’s no leak from them that I’m aware of but since I’m already down there?

      Thanks for the question Brandon, it might be a good idea to change them out since they are inexpensive. If you don't mind taking a few extra items off, it can provide you with many more miles without worry. It seems like these will fail, it's just a question of when.
      Good luck on your Mercedes project, let us know how it goes.

    Hello I dropped the top long T25 screw. How and where an I get a new 9ne?Do you have the specs for it?

    • @BradleysGarage
      @BradleysGarage  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry to hear that, here is the diagram for that part of the engine:
      nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/epc/mercedes/1/m/271860/d71/20/015/?chasis=20434761F
      Looking at the description though, they only show the 6x25mm which is the shorter one. They are showing the longer one to be a hexa bolt at 45mm length. You might have to swing by the local dealer to have them try to pull it up in their system. Maybe they changed the spec after the car left the factory.
      Let us know how it goes. Cheers!

      Thank you, I did order the 6x25 which is as the wrong screw. Also, I stopped by a local bolt shop but no luck. I’m going to try a junk yard next.

    Thank you for posting this. Dealership said it would cost $800+ to replace my coolant line…. Sucks for them 😂😂.
    New subscriber, I have the same car with basically the same number of miles. Oil change will be coming soon too 🙌🏾

      If i were you i would get rid of that car asap. All of those models of that year have a problem with the camshaft sprocket stripping and causing hard starts. Big repair and will he very expensive.

    For the last clamp in the video, its actually called click-r, they are special ones and are reusable. They are actually the best ones, because they will never loose tension or get loose, but the downside is thst you need special pliers for them, so you dont get annoyed using screwdriver or other tool, that can damage the clamp. The click r pliers are cheap, and if you working on german car, i suggest investing in them.

      Thanks for the comments, we knew there were special pliers, just wasn't sure what they were called. We will look into adding a set to the garage so we have them for the next project.

    Tell me why I thought he was yelling at his own hand when he was putting in the lower bolt 😂

    • @BradleysGarage
      @BradleysGarage  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comments, I was actually yelling at my kid. He was helping move the metal pipe around so I could get the bolt started. It's a tight space so having help is a bonus when doing that part.
      Cheers!
