@@patrickdunn8918 why do people from the US always think that anyone who writes a comment is from the US as well? The person you're reacting to could live anywhere.
@potpoet I *TOTALLY* agree with you, bro. This video is proof that jack @$$es don't have anything better to do with their time, only to come up with idle and dangerous ideas. 😖😠😤😡
In a book written by a former CIA agent she argues that fight or flight are not the only reactions to panic: Staying like paralyzed is another one, like the first woman who stops pedaling and that was not the solution.
That’s right. In addition to “Fight, or flight”, there is “tonic immobility”. The latter being; to freeze, choke, or play dead, etc. Also of interest is “Normalcy bias” a cognitive bias which leads people to disbelieve or minimize threat warnings. Consequently, individuals underestimate the likelihood of a disaster even as it’s happening.
Ok, true story time: Back when I was fresh out of high school, in the late 80s, I got a summer job (for a week anyway) working at the state fair. First day I was assigned to one of the rides, with a supervisor (the carny that ran that ride) that smelled like body odor and stale cigarettes. It was a horrible job. In the cooking sun all day. Drinks cost me the same as everybody else. But, on the second day, early in the morning, before any customers got there, Mr. Carny told me we (meaning ME) needed to go under the ride and perform a "safety inspection." I'd never done one before, so I was all "WTF is that? Is there like a drawing, or cartoon that tells me what to do?" I was told to just look for things that looked wrong. Ok. Great. So I was looking around for ghosts and rats and amphetamines, and I noticed a fastener on the ground under the ride. Then another. And another. When I was done, I had a handfull of bolts and nuts. I took them to Mr. Carney, and told him we might have a problem. He took the handful of nuts and bolts from me, looked at it for a moment, and said "that's about right for one day." Then he tossed them into the same can he used as an ashtray. I've never got on any sort of amusement park ride since that day.
These 'adventures' are nothing to walking the edge of the abyss every month while managing our family budget. Been doing it for 38 years, and it never gets easier.

I assume you're referring to the alligators and/or crocodiles. While I agree with the locked up issue. However I do think calling it bullying is a little over doing it. Teased? Pestered? Maybe.
