It was a brief mistake, the parents both immediately properly reacted as soon as they processed it, they kept him safe, no one got hurt, animal didn't get hurt, and then they got to laugh about it after everyone was definitely ok. That is why you want the driven wheels in the front in cases like that. It is not always a good idea. Tractors for example mostly pull things hooked up at the back. But a lot of them are four wheel drive for that reason and cause they usually don't operate on roads that much.
Doesn't matter if it is front or back. You want the driven wheels close to the hitch and the hitch *BELOW* the axle of the wheels. That way your resulting rotation turns the pulling vehicle's front into the ground and you don't wheelie.
