i'm a bit dispointed they didn't at least talk about the time a B52 passed by so low next to a carrier that even a military grade radar wasn't able to see it. the pilot had to tell the controler to look down rather then up
When doing my field studies as a geologist in the California deserts, we were surprised several times by being closely overflown by US jet fighters when we were up on ridges, hills, etc. Several times, our group just hit the ground, flat, you can’t hear those guys coming and they might be only tens of feet above the ground. (There’s a fighter pilot facility somewhere around there, we saw them flying often). I doubt if they buzzed us on purpose, they probably couldn’t see us until the last few seconds, they fly so fast.

If they don't already, I think all aircraft with retractable landing gear should have skid plates build into the bottom of the fuselage in case of landing gear failure.

I enjoyed the video. I normally don't watch these types of videos, but this was enjoying watching. I grew up in the 60s & 70s on Tactical Air Force Bases all over the world. My dad was a fighter pilot and I enjoyed hanging around the squadron parties listening to the pilots talk about good times and missions in Vietnam. So many things most of you would not believe. I went on to join the Navy worked on jets from Carriers and land bases and again so many things people who were not there wouldn't believe. That's why most often these pilots and crews only talk to each other about them, because they understand. For all you who complain about the Thumbnail, well it's TH-cam and that goes with the territory. You would be amazed all the things that flew under that bridge since it was built and yes without permission.
That second one is an Dornier 24T , German 3 engine flying boat, total of 279 were built from various factories from 1937-1945. Primary ysage was for maritime patrol , search and rescue.
Most important vid at the end proves how safe Cessnas are vs Piper when they flip over, you can get the door open in a Cessna, not a Piper, your trapped and burning inside.
In Australia the gov takes 1/2 of what you earn then around 20% of every thing you buy it's a gov state but nobody complains most Aussies just bend over,and never complain it's sad coz we need a revelutions

It looks real enough, and many of the other special effects shots are obviously model work (except for the newsreel shots of the actual raid aircraft flying over the USS Hornet's deck), so who knows? As to an airliner? That was obvious click-bait!
