My trip preps start long before a trip... in fact using my Kimcrome sockets to prep my HJ45 now, for a Cape trip next June!

    Kincrome.
Driving to the spirit of Tasmania. Get to within an hour of it and my transfer case rear bearing shits the bed. 1.5hrs until boarding. Drove to the nearest town, managed to pull the case out and change the bearings in a borrowed workshop in 30 minutes before reassembling and hauling ass to the boat.

Last year, morning we left for a trip from melbourne up to the gulf of Carpentaria and back we (me and my Dad) did a head gasket (using a Kincrome 1/2" torque wrench adaptor) and new vacuum pump, and neither of them caused us any problems. Now 15 years old these tools would help me get my project 1999 Land Rover Defender on the road, which I'm hoping to take to the cape next year.

Trip preps always so stressful. Ours gets a bit rushed for most trips just chucking the stuff we find in the back and finding out on the way, never forgetting the two important Fs, fuel and food. The longer trips tend to be less stressful and more calculated, just making sure we have everything together may be lacking in tools but we make up for it with country fixes. @kinchrome would be an amzing set to add to the journey.

Proper preparation prevents piss poor performance. If only I had a tool kit like this Kincrome set when I first started 4wding I would have had to use batteries and jumper cables to bush weld an imperial nut onto a metric bolt in order to take it off!! Awesome tray set up Rich 👍🏻

Trip prep for myself is also left to the last minute to service and fix niggling issues. Then slap a whole lotta stuff and a mystery bag of tools in the car and hope for the best, nothing of the same quality as Kincrome. Love the videos! Hope to see you in the west 🤙🏼

Wouldn’t be a trip away without a late night in the shed fixing or modifying something. Patrols will do that, but wouldn’t have it any other way. That awesome kincrome kit would come in handy for the next late night in shed before a trip!

Ive always owned ute and I always think I need load in it up with everything including the kitchen sink, but just having a simple camping kit and simple 4x4 kit always in the car (if you have the space) can make it easier to pack and keeps the wieght down for trips or weekends away. Kincrome 🤙

Did a cape trip September 2021 in our 40 series we’d just gotten on the road. A week before we left I noticed a leak in the fuel tank. Convinced my partner to help me pull the tank out and assess, only to find out it was only a loose hose clamp on the filler neck after me and my partner are both covered in dirt and diesel. A kincrome kit like that would definitely have made light work of it and been great to have up the cape

Hi, my car is a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder bought second hand but in fantastic condition.
When l started fitting it out l would open it up then sit in a chair and imagine where to put all the stuff one usually takes on a trip. Pathfinders are not big cars, narrow low but same length as a 80series.
The car has slowly evolved over some 8 years and never let me down, most of my trips are through the High Country Vic. Stuffing tools in different locations is a pain ,when l need a spanner and then say a screwdriver ! A Kinchrome tool kit , so compact , well layed out and easy to use would save me a lot of wasted energy as l have COPD . It's been great to catch up with you on YT again, cheers

OH and kinchrome lol, Recent trip prep was wonderful. New batwing didn't suit my extra long heavy duty awning brackets, so only bolted on with 2 bolts and had a strap around it for the drive down to Kosciusko. AND new intercooler hoses kept blowing off on the way down, and I had my tool box locked in a lockbox I had lost the keys for so limped her to a mechanic, cut the locks, fixed the intercooler hose, and smooth sailing until it blew a hose again. Finally sorted out the issue after the trip. Safe to say a decent accessible toolkit would have helped a lot, my current one is a sad excuse

That Kincrome kit looks perfect to keep in the car for trips. My last trip prep for Fraser Island started 3 days out expecting to just do a basic service, until I spotted a torn CV boot. That then lead to rebuilding CV's, wheel bearings and new ball joints. I was then up late the night before wiring up the fridge and then packing for the family.

Very similar trip prep, gears and locker in the summer took a fair bit and ran into issues like missing new pinion flange. Also taking apart the doors and fixing just about everything in there. Window fell off arm, window switches were broken, speakers changed, sound deadening, window tint. Changed the mirrors, and re glue things to the inside of the door card that split off after 23 years.
I’m thinking of changing just my driver side door trim but it’s just barely making a noise at 75-80mph so haven’t done it yet.
Messed up drilling my kick panel for locker switches but luckily I can get another Toyota one off eBay or new I think even.
Did the part time conversion last year on my 100 series and never had any issues with it or the 4x4 button, Hope it stays that way.

currently halfway through the prep for my december NSW touring trip and a bit of fresh kincrome kit would go real well hahah. last few months on my N70 i've fabbed up my steel tray, installed an ally 1300mm canopy, installed my new buds customs bar, stedi spotties, terrain tamer parabolic leaves, superior shocks, boss freestanding 270 awn, spare wheel holder and crashpad bag, ally twin jerry holder, towbar relocation brackets. only a couple weeks left and still have to fit out the canopy with stand up fridge and travel buddy, make an ally drawer, sort out the 12V stuff, replace my slipping clutch with a fresh npc, and on top of that check over and service the whole thing. definitely could put that kincrome gear to good use, as an apprentice buying that lot for my car has rendered me poor, and I ain't paying someone to put parts on my car, doing it myself teaches you how to fix it and saves money for the next mod.
