@@duannekhristopermangampat9608hopefully it will be a new game to buy physically. Contra fans should never even say dlc or 60 fps. No Contra game ever ran 30 for let alone 60.
@@duannekhristopermangampat9608Idk about that. Maybe we're dealing with a new enemy this time instead of the Red Falcon, as shown by the post-credits scene.
The original Predator is supposed to have made references not only to the short story The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell but to Beowulf as well. Dutch Schaefer is likened to Beowulf and the Predator to Grendel.
If you overlook the fact that he works for an aggressive alien empire, Varanis can be considered brave, determined, and willing to die for his mission. From the perspective of his own people, he was the hero who allowed his people to finally invade Earth after countless millennia. It's an example of how personal opinions become in war.
I have mix feelings, on one hand the gameplay looks solid af giving me contra 4 & shattered soldier vibes, but on the other hand the graphic looked cheap as hell, some bosses looked fine with indoor lighting, but a lot of time they just looked flat and basic (mostly due to the shiny single-colored texture). I'll give them credits for reviving classic bosses, but still kinda felt short when you realize what they can do in hard corp uprising.
So following that logic for you and I would be better off against this dead guy just because he doesn't have pretty graphics, what nonsense I read. I prefer that the saga be revived as it should, doing it well as it is now and in the long term they put what you say into it.
The original Contra's story really ended at Neo Contra, and that game was more of an epilogue to the series as a whole at the time since the overarching conflict of the original series was finished in Shattered Soldier. That being said, I think the new empire and the relic in Galuga are going to basically be rewritten versions of these past characters. If that slot game is to be of any hints, Gava is probably gonna be a commander before turning into a monster, rather than just being a monster.
@neuronoc.7343 If we're going by that one pachinko game, I think Gava's human form was meant to be a disguise to conceal his true appearance. Makes sense considering he's the supreme leader of the Red Falcon Army until OG showed up.
Is it me or the final boss just feels like WayForward took some ideas from the final boss from Cuphead? You know, standing on the hand on the boss, just like what you did against the Devil in Cuphead while trying to dodge his attacks as you shoot his eyes/face with multiple phases.
Even the boss fights look uninspired. And the guy telling you about the overcharge. The original was designed to empty your wallet while you had a smile on your face.

Super Contra did NOT age well. I've owned it on many consoles and never play anymore. The soundtrack was good though. I've ALWAYS preferred the grown up version of Contra. Contra Shattered Soldier on PS2 was perfect with death metal.
game is too short, not worth the 40$. Maybe 10-15$. Graphic is not that good, and bosses are too generic with little creativity. Final boss looks like a Power Ranger villain. Final verdict, wait for it to go on sale.
Not only that, but the new story that they invented for this game feels like a complete betrayal to the original storyline established since the first game. Even Shattered Soldier, Neo Contra, or Contra 4 feel like they provide enough closure for this series since the storyline is already completed, at least in the case of the PS2 games.
It's supposed to be a reboot, the original storyline couldn't really be continued any further. That being said, this new storyline could stand to be a bit gritter, and have actually animated cutscenes.

Too bad Dutch lost to his "Grendel's Dam", although she spared him.

This game is very epic for a 2D game but also too short

The ”M” weapon for Stanley Ironside is also very similar to one of the Cuphead weapons, a boomerang type weapon.

Remixes of original songs IIRC are also in the game but perhaps you have to unlock it.
