I can tell you that 90 percent of mine were drop and hook. Sounds like you might want to go lease. I can’t tell you what a company driver gets because I’ve never done that.
FLY RABBIT, HEY BROTHA I AM BACK IN PHOENIX AS OF THIS WEEK TO ENTER INTO ANOTHER LEASE WITH SWIFT. SWIFT IS THE REAL DEAL.....MANY DRIVERS DOING WELL OVER 6 FIGURES HERE AS ANOTHER DRIVER I SPOKE TO AT THE TERMINAL YESTERDAY. IF ANYONE IS CONSIDERING SWIFT...I SAY JUST DO IT. PLEASE JUMP AND GROW YOUR WINGS ON THE WAY DOWN. SWIFT IS THE REAL DEAL!
I'm suppose to pickup a 2024 volvo from Atlanta terminal in a week. $500 upfront. Been hesitant. With the sliding pay scale I'm not sure if I will make alot.
Hey how’s your lease purchase journey going with swift leasing? Is everything still going ok? Are you still getting loads? Because I heard people were sitting sometimes without loads
Good information. I’m 31 year veteran truck driver. From company to independent O/O. Never been a lease driver. I see many benefits to this segment of trucking. I especially like the MRP on paper. Would love more info. I’ll email you with phone info.
Hi, I’m about to become a Owner Operator in a week. I’m kind of nervous but excited. I’m here in Dallas. Any advice to run 2500 to 3000 miles in a week. Where to run in the U.S? Any apps? Should I do dedicated or OTR? Like what’s the best path to run a lot of Miles?
Honestly, it’s the luck of the draw there really isn’t any rhyme or reason they don’t have any new trucks coming in until next year but if you get lucky someone quits, you can get one that has a few miles on it
sorry to ask if someone asked, could you brake down all expenses that you have to pay? Are some expenses monthly or weekly? Who pay insurance for truck, and also taxes?
You are responsible for all expenses and taxes. Fixed costs are about 1100 a week which includes truck payment insurance etc. please feel free to contact me direct at my email leave your number and explain in more detail to you.
Hello just checking if Swift leasing program they keep yaa running and the money there and you stil there or I’m just want make sure is miles there and money
Sir, may I ask at Swift is this a "walkaway " lease ? And if you could explain exactly what liabilty are you on the hook for if any ? I feel like I need to be an attorney to sign a lease/operator agreement with these carriers... Thank you sir
Technically it’s not a walk away lease. Most companies don’t offer that and even though they tell you it’s a walk away there still are charges that will occur. Please feel free to email me and I would gladly explain in more detail. Email me your phone number I’ll call.
Well I can tell you my biggest worry is a mechanical failure that I am liable for that may not be covered by the warranty and/or the maintenance agreement. I am not concerned too much about if or how much equity I am building in the truck. I am more interested in the business as an income stream consistently producing as long as I am in the truck. But if for any reason I had to leave before term is up, I am concerned that legally I could personally be on the hook for more than I am prepared to pay... @@iamtheflyrabbit

@@iamtheflyrabbit I know. You mentioned it in your video of the walk-around of your Kenworth, which gave me the idea for the name. No worries about the gift card....keep the cash to buy fuel. But much appreciated. I'm not a trucker, but my wife and I always loved truckers. If I ever see that truck with that name on the side, I'll know I made a contribution to a good cause. ✌✌
@@iamtheflyrabbit thanks I have 23 years otr and just tryin to find out if i can jump straight into their lease program or would i have to drive company first
I couldn’t agree with you more. If I’ve claimed that through any of my videos, I am sorry, but I understand that I am a lease operator. Unfortunately, that is how Swift labels everything owner operator. But once again, I don’t know if I would ever want to be a true owner operator, because with the lease, something goes out, it gets fixed, but we’re still making somewhat the same amount of money. Not arguing, not making any kind of stupid discussions about this, but there are reasons why people do different things. This is why I do what I do.
I’ve heard terrible things about the new kenworths and Pete’s with the mx13s, and even worse about lease purchase programs, the worst case being leasing a truck from the company that gives you your freight. You really need to go find blue ribbon logistics here on TH-cam and learn ya something. Good luck mate

Too bad Swift, you lost your opportunity to have me on your team. I called 5 times and messaged Fernando and Alexis in recruiting about 7 times. There are plenty of opportunities out there and I just got a better opportunity now! Bye bye Swifty swift
Just like I say, in my videos, you should’ve contacted me so I could put you with the right people to expedite your application and also the process people did you name is nobody that I work with Nora by even know who they are so if you would’ve contacted me direct, I could’ve helped you through this process
You think 2,600 miles is running hard? You would be shocked at what we run on paper logs 😂 you’re not an owner operator. You’re a company driver making the truck payment so swift doesn’t have to.
What you describe sounds illegal. I'm also Swift, but company. I don't ever get those types of miles now with live loads and unloads. I was interested in Lease Operator at one time, but not anymore. You should never lease with a company that controls your miles. Just ask the Prime LO's. I've not heard good stories about their program. I don't know about Swift's program, but they haven't done anything to boost my confidence that it is the right thing to do. And you are correct: LO is just company, except you are making the truck payment for them, no health insurance/benefits, and ALL responsibility is now on you. The planning and dispatch are the same as company.
@@WagnerTruckingYou can make all of the money running like that and loose your health really quickly. Working too long in a truck is extremely unhealthy and pays the Doctors later on. I stopped working my full clock after I started to feel the effects on my body. Things got better when I limited my work day to 12 hours max and walked 2 times a day. Id walk while getting loaded/unloading, at the end of my shift and in the middle of my shift. One of the keys to being healthy is to be in a good financial situation to not have to drive that hard.
