    Idk why people on one lol. Wife and i have been team lease op with swift for 6 month now and besides winter, we've constantly been making 3500-4500/wk good weeks like 5500 net to the bank account and that's without the load board. Theres ways to make money in swift and anywhere you just have to look. I run thru my home once a week so idk 🤷‍♂️ must just be us

      Ain't no way in hell I would make close to that with their pay structure for solo. What you have going for you is both you and your wife are making the money, not you and some other random person or yourself. So, you get the income x2 rather than x1.

    I've been with Swift for 6 months and I have never had an issue getting loads. May not always be the longest runs you have to give and take but they will keep you running if you're willing to drive that's for sure.

      Maybe for some people, in some regions, with certain driver leaders, and select planners... However, it's a huge thing that swift is not running people all that well. You are essentially capped and locked to 2,500 miles. They get you there within a few days, and then you are sitting around waiting twiddling your thumbs for pleasure.

      @@RidingWTyler yeah you're right after this week the past 5 days I was stuck in Minnesota. I'll never say that again.

      It's all good, you know; everyone always has a different experience too. Hopefully that doesn't happen again because being stuck in a spot is the absolute worst.

    Can we all just quit trucking for a month , just no protest, just go home and revoke authority

    Are lots of freight at swift do you ever have an issue finding freight ?

    • @RidingWTyler
      @RidingWTyler  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, freight has been bad for the last year or two at Swift.

    Indiana to Florida (bad market) for like what $1.57 a mile?
    That's incredibly bad. Horrifying actually 🤯

    • @RidingWTyler
      @RidingWTyler  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The market is terrible, yes. I did get a decent load coming out instantly. I usually don't take loads like that but the planners said where I was there was absolutely nothing and the best option to get something would be taking the load, which was true and loads were fairly heavy in Ocala due to T-Calls.
      The pay on the other hand... It was like 1.60 p/ mile. Not good at all, but that's how swift operates. No percentage pay, it is all mileage pay. And you get a fuel surcharge of .42 which was accounted for in the mileage. I got paid a total of $367 or so for that load. Which was 444 miles. That's settlement before taxes.

    Yikes Swift Lease drivers running loads for 1.15 a mile.. That's pennies over loss not factoring breakdown

    • @RidingWTyler
      @RidingWTyler  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's also a 0.42 cpm fuel sur charge I did not account for. It equaled out to a net settlement (before taxes) of roughly $367. For breakdowns, I pay hardly any repairs. Major things like a turbo is paid by swift at 80% and most minor/moderate things are fully covered. Tires I cover at 100%

    • @AbcXyz-rn2lz
      @AbcXyz-rn2lz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @TyLM99 That's not too bad if you can dispatch yourself home when needed... All things considered. An accurate comparison to their home weekends company driver average would be nice.
      I don't make the jump just cause I'm out running the interest on a mortgage

    • @RidingWTyler
      @RidingWTyler  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it's not too bad. It seems to be made in a way to be around the same if not a little more than the higher paid company drivers (like the 500k-1m safe mile drivers). So around 8 years exp pay for a 1 year exp driver (given the lease pays more, on good weeks 2k plus miles than company, usually)
      My next pay should be closer to 1k-2k depending. I just dislike their deadlines for fuel and pay day. It's not a set deadline. It can vary.

    Dude, why are you taking loads that are 400 something miles for 500 something dollars you’re barely over a dollar a mile

    • @RidingWTyler
      @RidingWTyler  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      1) That's how swift operates. It's mileage pay, not percentage. So, no matter what I would have taken; it would have paid the same.
      2) This is not accounting for a fuel surcharge of 0.41 cents p/ mile.
      That load ended up being around $1.6 p/ mile. I ended up having profits of 1.4k (settlement) that week with 2k miles (went for maintenance so I was out 3 days).
