It’s the ox speed skim and we find them so much better than a darby they have sort of taken over the Darby in the plastering trade now with the different lengths and interchangeable blades
Absolutely rubbish about the notch trowel have been doing eifs here in the states 25 years and not once has a company Total us to do that ,over foam cement board or hard surface background,
@@Fishit-cl3mn I thought the norm was to use the notch trowel on the base coat before adding the mesh. Then not over press the mesh in as you don't wont it against the wall but midway in the render...?

If the original building doesn’t have a expansion it’s a waste of time unless it’s for ease to render halving the size you have to put on.
It was to halve the size in the heat

You ain’t got a clue mate I’ve been doing this a long time and have always used notched trowels and I know loads of other people that also use them.
