    Another great vid, much prefer GP Mortar (K Mix) for a nice smooth floated finish, one of the reasons is it`s cheaper than HP12 and I`m a tight arse.

    how long do you need to wait to achieve this, as we just spat it flat, but would prefer to float it thanks

    Good video again.
    I use ki7 normally and baumit kzp.
    I usually spray mesh in morning then top out in afternoon. Then I ibarr next day.
    Do u ever Barr ocr or use this method all time Joe. Nice to know how other guys finish b4 texture

      Hello mate, yeah I mainly do this finish, but I will be doing your way in the next project I have which is a big gable end. I usually have my power float with me to, which takes the shoulder work out of it!

    Aup mate. At what point do you start using the diamond float??? How you know whether its to wet other than you drag it off the wall

    • @Rendervate

      Thanks mate, yes you can finish it smooth, so do this process then just sponge finish it, leaves it nice! We do this because it’s getting texture. 👍🏽

  • @tonyc1167
    @tonyc1167 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Joel can you k rend base coat brick work if its clean? If you have to primer can you use sbr? Or do a slurry coat? Tc primer well expensive, i only need to render 5 sqaure meter

    • @Rendervate
      @Rendervate  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it depends what the bricks are like mate, if they are rough I would just clean them down with water and go on to it. if smooth defo need a primer on them mate.

    Well unless the base coat will be the final coat, it certainly isnt necessary to be criticle on finishing it with the float.
    Just knock down the trowel welts is sufficient enough.

    @stevenalbert8552 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    hp12 is as rough as arseholes like all k-rend...mad man using it these days...poo,not doubting you know whats what...im a renderer of a lot of years....k-rend is dog..horrible gear, get on the fassas,the Webbers,the parex..even vimark....k -rend awful stuff,dated and a pile of shite that fades in the sun..no uv value, brittle and an awful product

    • @Rendervate
      @Rendervate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      wow you dont like the krend haha, na its not the worse on the market, they are a leader in the market you dont get there being rubbish mate, ive used a lot of products, Fassa i like, Weber is good, the best on the market for me is Baumit and Ecorend, for numerous reasons.

    • @stevenalbert8552
      @stevenalbert8552 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trust me mate..they certainly ain’t the leader in the market,they was the first in the market branded here,so why everyone calls it k-rend when it’s really monocouche,it drives the french mad,a shit product in Ireland taking the thunder but that’s not either here or there,i was doing back in the day when it was called ..crem-rend,first over here,so we know a fair bit…k-rend won’t endorse you mate,it’s not going to happen…shop about,even cpi not bad,..prb at one stop…but don’t mug yourself with k-rend 😂😂😂

    • @G2020-
      @G2020- 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      K-rend gets a bad rep mostly for its k1 silicone range. The basecoats are the best on the market
