I have never had the ET so I can't give you a hard time about that but the FR dead last. Come on man that has become one of my go to budget picks. This was a great video and it amazes me how you can pick them the way you do. I would actually put OF86 which was not in here ahead of the WT101 and EW. I do think that the EW was good when I first opened it but after a couple of weeks it was not as good so maybe after it opens up it loses it's flavor.
I never got to try the early times black top but I personally love the metal cap. Something about it's flavor profile I really enjoy.
A Scottish woman, mid fifties… always preferred Bourbon over ‘Scotch’. Surprising I’m able to find Buffalo Trace here in Manila for just under $40. Always nice to see you more budget recommendations can be found in the Philippines,

You still did fine. And having a 80 proof whiskey against the others isn’t fair just saying.
Before I watch I am picking in order BT, FR, WT101, and EW BiB. I have not tried the ET so don't know where to put that.
Evan Williams 1783 would have faired better than the Bottle in Bond. It really does taste better neat. I love the EW BIB as a mixer. But this blind turned out exactly like I thought it would.
I blinded the Even Williams BIB vs the Benchmark and the Benchmark eased out as the winner. I have yet to try the Early times as it is NOT available in my market which is sad.
They all good
My favorite is Redemption High Rye Bourbon. It isn't as sweet but has a nice litte bite followed by an interesting corn flavor. I am not one who is into sweet.
Wild Turkey 101 FTW (I made this comment before I watched the video)
I love Early Times BIB. I have 6 bottles with the black screw cap and 2 with the blue cap bunkered. I know of a store that still has the black cap Early Times. Next trip I am going to pick up 2 or 3 more. I have 19 bottles of Buffalo Trace bunkered. It is my primer bourbon. 🥃
I did the same blind but put Old Tub instead of Four Roses. ET bnb finished 1 and 2 against the Old Tub. WT 101 was 3 and BT went 4 and 5 with the EW bnb. I think you are being too critical with the ET blue cap because it's stil BF juice for 2 more years. Great review anyway.

EWBIB....what's it gonna be? Uh yeah, the new ET...it's all depending on what you are feeling. 101 is a solid all-time pick for whatever bourbon you need. Cheers!
I enjoy the vids but you spend more time trying to guess what each one is as opposed to talking about what you are tasting and why you would rank one above the other

4 Rose's yellow label doesn't agree with my pallet and gives me a headache. I leave it as a mixer for my wife.
Sazerac acquired Brown forman b.i.b. barrels in 2019. Its 4 yrs later, 2023. Do the math. Black top or blue. Its the same juice.
Different blending
Starting in 2020 yes. Those bottles are sold yet its 2023.
The last bottle of EW BiB I had wasn't very good below the halfway point or so. Very one dimensional. All I got was a nutty taste.
JW & JTS have both been getting better barrels for their blends. IMHO
Honestly I know this is heresy to most people but I think metal top is better than blacktop early times.... Like seriously guys give it a shot without preconception It's really good.
