I was just at Costco in CA and they have 1.75L knobb creek 9yr 100 proof for $49.99 😊 that has to be the best deal for a daily drinker, I’ve also seen eagle rare 1.75L at Costco only once for around the same price
I agree. I usually tend to watch some that don't even tell you what they're trying anymore so they don't try to identify them. But I'm sure for as long as they do it, it's second nature to try and do so
I tried the rare breed, and it is alright, but I prefer a single malt. It was the only bourbon I ever tried so I'm not sure if it is a bourbon-specific thing or just a wild turkey thing but it is a strange flavour, besides the obvious oak, I get a sort of sickly sweet carrot aftertaste with a bit of a vegetable/root tang. IDK, I also found it too alcohol burn forward, it felt a bit too young (even if its supposed to be a blend of 6,8 and 12 years I believe? )and unfortunately chill-filtered. I've had cask strength scotch on the other hand and it was very aromatic without the acetone on the nose.
I had a pour of the Heaven Hill BiB at a bar and was pretty underwhelmed, especially for a $40+ bottle. Knob Creek and Four Roses SiB have a lot more going on.
Fun fact, here in Brazil ER i paid like 40$...and the rest of the list are costing almost 130$! Rare Breed costs 130$ here and i cry every night for that.
This was fun to watch! Thomas hit correctly on all 5 on the nose! That's a skill many do not possess! Great blind test for sure. Yall are the best in the whiskey YT space. Keep em comin'.
Jill is the coolest chick. Love these two. Anyway, good blind test. I just picked up a bottle of the Knobb Creek 9. Haven't tried it yet. One day I'll get some Eagle Rare. It's nearly impossible to find here.
I've only been watching for a couple weeks now because TJ keeps popping up in my shorts feed, but I love the content. I'm not sure I'm a neat bourbon drinker yet but I do have 4 new bottles to keep playing with. Worst case I have lots of good options for old fashioned drinks. Also - I'm sad that Redwood Empire Pipe Dream didn't make the list.
I take a lot of grief of Knob Creek as my favorite everyday pour. Of course, it is readily available. I've never tried Eagle Rare because I can't get it, which is a point in favor of Knob Creek.
I am super impressed so no hate from me. It is crazy good that you can get them all right from the nose and then verify while tasting. Jill is great as well with her opinions on the taste. I have never seen the HH BiB but have had the other 4. It was at different times and the KC I only have had a couple of glasses so a little hard to tell which one is best. It's easy to pick the top 2 and that is the FR and ER by far over the other 2 with the FR getting a slight edge. I love the ER but just a little too sweet to have more than 1 glass in a night. I would take the KC over the RB. They are all good with the FR and ER being really good. Then again who knows if I did a blind I might pick different ones.
Impressive 👃🏽’ n Brewzle! Rare breed barrel proof is the cats meow 💯 . It’s well over $50 a bottle here in Canada .. but with that it is well worth its mrsp still . Thanks for the great content guys ! 🥃🥃
Hi, ive bought rare breed for 37 usd in Ukraine, knob creek 42 usd, eagle rare 60 , four roses single barrel like 38 usd, does it make sense to try others more expensive bottles if i have cheaper one rare breed available?
Jill, I'm with you.. Eagle Rare is MEH!!!! I have one we got at the distillery 2 years ago and it's still just OK... I would have picked RB coming out on top as well..
Knob creek 9 is my current go-to. I managed a bottle of the 12 year and it’s fantastic. Bought a Heaven Hill on a recommendation from the shop keeper and I’m not impressed. Won’t buy again.
Due to a fair amount of Brewzle boasting I suggest he do an under $100 top 5 double-blind ranking for us valued viewers. This will give us valuable content and allow his amazing pallete to truly shine..... or fail?🤔
I've taken a liking to the higher rye percentage. Never tried FR and do believe it's time I gave it a shot. WT 101 is the best I've been drinking last few weeks. Cheers.
@@fishboy77😮wow, I mean, you just threw a monkey wrench in the conversation! But I'm liking that, OGD is a unique pour - haven't had the btl. in ages, I'll pick 1 up 👆 just because I can 😂!!
It sounds like you have a third guy filming? Have them do the blinding but make it so the tasters don’t know what the options are. Do a complete blind review so you can’t guess what it is. If you know what you are drinking you will be more biased

Eagle Rare is $100 around me whenever you can find it. Heaven Hill is finally back on the shelf and can be had around $50.
It usually is $100+
I just found one on sale for $49.99 after tax!
Just walked out of my local store with a bottle or eagle rare for 37.99 and a bottle of Blantons for 72.99
Dang. I've never seen Eagle Rare north of $45. But I don't look for it either.

This is the problem with these blind tastings. You try to guess whats what and it skews the results. Just taste the whisky and tell us whats the best.
I agree. I usually tend to watch some that don't even tell you what they're trying anymore so they don't try to identify them. But I'm sure for as long as they do it, it's second nature to try and do so
just skip to the end to see whats what and then re-watch it if your that worried on losing track of which whiskey ranked where lol
100%. Taste it first, rank it then guess in the end.
That's why his wife is there, to show both sides
That's kind of the point. Actually, it's knowing what you are tasting that skews the results.
KC 9yr typically can be found for under $40 in KY; where RB runs close to $60
Eagle Rare is only under 50 in Kentucky if you buy it at the distillery. Hard to find here and its made here lol.
they dropped a few cases here in North Ohio for $45 out the door. sold out before I got there and had to settle for Weller lol
I really enjoy your reviews. Jill is the best! You're both really good people, it comes across my TV screen and even my tiny phone screen 😀
Never had the heaven hill but all of the others are good. I probably like the Eagle Rare the best followed by the Knob Creek and Rare Breed.
Eagle Rare under $50?🤯
I'm there!
Available everywhere in the UK at the moment for around 32 - 35 pounds so around 42 dollars out the door.
I just saw it for 125 💀
Loved this, really not a big fan of Knob Creek and I love Eagle Rare/Four Roses so I think we have different tastes haha
Rare breed is always over 50 in the Austin area these days. It’s usually around 55-60 in my area.
I tried the rare breed, and it is alright, but I prefer a single malt. Try the Woodford Reserve American Single Malt tis yummy 😋 😋

My Costco puts Knob Creek SBR 120 proof for $43. Nothing is beating it at that price. Recently, they've had Four Roses Single Barrel for $39.99.
Rare Breed is over $60 near me. I think I paid $68 after tax for it. Worth it though, it's fantastic.
Just something funny I noticed…I love Rare Breed. Says the proof on the neck in much larger writing. Lol. Just Fyi
The Heaven Hill is a banger. My favorite in the group. Eagle Rare second.
Nice job.Wild Turkey RARE BREED is all I drink....I think it beats a lot of the couple hundred $ bottles of bourbon .
Still allocated here Eagle Rare I got was 92$ Heaven hill is $59 here still allocated.
This was fun to watch! Thomas hit correctly on all 5 on the nose! That's a skill many do not possess! Great blind test for sure. Yall are the best in the whiskey YT space. Keep em comin'.
I absolutely love Eagle Rare. Good luck trying to find it.
My hats off to anyone willing to do a blind taste, and, publicly, to boot! Did you consider Angels Envy in the mix?
Should of had some Early Times Bottled in Bond in this video but I do see it in the background
I can get the FR SB for 45$ where I live, but the Knob and RB are both well over 60$
Personally, I'd take Old Forester 86 proof, Russell's Reserve 10yr, and 13th Colony over all of those.
Old forester 100 over 86 proff...and only $25
@@bigtoeknee11 OF 100 is the worst thing OF makes
@@drewmp05 Not if your using it to make old fashions with. My favorite OF is 1910 neat
I respect your picks. I suspect I would’ve come up with a similar lineup given the same selection.
Jill is the coolest chick. Love these two. Anyway, good blind test. I just picked up a bottle of the Knobb Creek 9. Haven't tried it yet. One day I'll get some Eagle Rare. It's nearly impossible to find here.
I just tuned on. My ranking is what i see in order from my left to right

I'll go with four roses
Is Knob Creek 9 Single Barrel better than this Knob Creek?
for sure. But it runs about $20 more.
Jill, I'm with you.. Eagle Rare is MEH!!!! I have one we got at the distillery 2 years ago and it's still just OK... I would have picked RB coming out on top as well..
It's 'Knob Creek' vs the world.
It makes me happy that my top 5 under $50 would be totally different. That hopefully means you all won't be buying them running the price up!
Give us the list
😅
I’d be elated if I found any of those bottles under $50.
Knob Creek 9 and Eagle Rare - in the uk around 42 - 45 dollars out the door
out of all of these, the Heaven Hill is really the only one that drastically changes after it's been opened for a while
You both are so awesome! 😄👍
So what was the order?
Awesome picks
Personally, I think HH BiB makes the best orange peel old fashioned out there.
Very nice comparison
I got a Handle of Knob Creek 9 for $44 from, T.W.
Old forester, wild turkey , buffalo trace.
KC 12 is $47 here, thats my best pour under $50.
Eagle Rare isn't that good tbh
It's too mellow, no rye spiciness....
Maybe it's good if you're not used to whiskey and other spirits
My blue note store pick for $45 blows all those away
Wish I could find eagle rare or even buffalo trace
You may just need to overpay to get it. Bundles on frootbat are ok priced.
Knob creek 9 is my current go-to. I managed a bottle of the 12 year and it’s fantastic. Bought a Heaven Hill on a recommendation from the shop keeper and I’m not impressed. Won’t buy again.
Russell’s single barrel and OF 1910?
Where you getting either of those under 50 dollars? Stealing them?
Heaven Hill for $39 at my local Sam’s Club!😊
Heaven hill 48.99 at Costco
You can't find eagle rare anywhere near me in Massachusetts for under $70 a bottle even if you can find it!
Wolcott rickhouse reserve is amazballs
Where’s Russels 10?
Wish I could find Eagle Rare for that. Talked to a local store and they said little over $100 from them. In southern Wisconsin.
Less than $50 in NJ
NY seeing it around $80
Watching this makes me want a drink too
Due to a fair amount of Brewzle boasting I suggest he do an under $100 top 5 double-blind ranking for us valued viewers. This will give us valuable content and allow his amazing pallete to truly shine..... or fail?🤔
We're doing a 25, 50, 75, 100, and 100+, and then going to blind them against each other.
@@BrewzleLiveClips cool
Where can I find an Eagle rare bottle?
probably a store that carries liquor
Louisiana
The only reason I choose Four Roses over Rare Breed is that Four Roses is more rye forward
I've taken a liking to the higher rye percentage. Never tried FR and do believe it's time I gave it a shot. WT 101 is the best I've been drinking last few weeks. Cheers.
How in the world is heaven hill last
I just seen a 1.75L bottle of Eagle Rare for $200
I really like having Jill in on the table. Creates such a great dynamic!
Yeah but wish she would just leave the cap off the damn water bottle
I’m with Jill. Knob creek 9 is as solid as they come. Im sure glad it hasn’t been hyped like so many other bourbons.
This was great 👍
All of them!!
Boy, u r good ,right on everyone by just nose🎉
None of these are under $50 anymore. Things are getting ridiculous
They're all $60 to $70 in a 100 mile radius of me in Louisiana
Costco Whiskey : Blanton's Single Barrel $46.99 wheelchair larry
I love Basil Hayden Toast and it’s only $40
"I know what I like." If that ain't on a t-shirt, you're losing money.
The lowest I've seen Eagle Rare in my area is 79
get you a magnifying glass big man!
Someone is going to Matt Madness
Here’s what I love about her: she represents everyone who just loves bourbon. Not the autistic folks whose special interest is bourbon. 😂🥰
Jill is HIGHLY confident that Knob Creek 9 is better than Rare Breed?? Nope.
BTW I think OGD 114 smokes ER and should have been in this competition.
Well you have an interesting palate, my guy. For me 114 finishes nasty.
@@fishboy77😮wow, I mean, you just threw a monkey wrench in the conversation! But I'm liking that, OGD is a unique pour - haven't had the btl. in ages, I'll pick 1 up 👆 just because I can 😂!!
Idk about the 9, but KC SB is def better than RB. RR 10 is better than RB too
Lol proof queen
Go to a store and buy any of those bottles for under $50 and let me know how that works out for you🥴

MFC. Iykyk.
So mich time wasted with what you think they are. Nobody cares.
Basil Hayden
NONE of these are out there for under $50. You need an inflation adjustment
Worst bourbon channel/ show on TH-cam.
ok
Jill I love you but you're not allowed to pick my bourbon.
Eagle rare around me is 80-90$ 🥲
1-200$ for me and I'm in Kentucky 😅
Where I live, this would be the best under 75
