    I choose this for various reason .. Choose this truck 🛻 Reminded me of the Bruiser/ back when I seen it on Magazine in the 80”s Rc CarAction 📰 / metal parts Differentials / chassis /transmission; …. And now that I was looking to build a Crawler 🍒 perfect base-line to start to build this KIT that I chosen this Route to build it my way from scratch .. I started mid Dec 2023 …, im half way to building with mods. I’ve had many Tamiya before but this one is put tailored by various customs .. great info on this channel

      I chose this as my first 1/10 scale RC probably the same reason. I have always wanted Bruiser growing up, but I couldn't afford it then. When the clone came out at much lower price, I couldn't pass it up. It has its limitations especially as a crawler; nonetheless, I really enjoy it and that's all that matters. Good luck with your build.

    I am doing build videos on it right now. I went ahead and ordered a second one they’re on flash sale. I have four grandsons. And the Ford is on flash sale RTR. Trucks I never thought I would own let alone let my grandkids run :-) I have an RC4WD and I’m afraid to use it it cost so much. When you have to make payments on RC there’s something wrong with it. Thanks for the bearing info awesome video👍

      Yeah, they are awesome trucks. Enjoy it with your grandkids, and thanks for the comment!

    Hey you mounted the same exact Banggood servo, in the same exact way I did. Anyway, this is probably the best review yet of one of these HG P407's. And if you want a Tamiya version, the company does not have any to sell you. But, at least these are made in the same place, with the same tooling. As for if its smoother, that I dont know. I have had other Tamiya products tho, and its pretty much the same quality overall, even if some Tamiya purists will claim otherwise.

      @BigSungHobbies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment. I had the servo mounted couple of years back. And I agree with you that it's a bargain. The biggest downfall are the cheap bearings though which should be changed with good quality bearings.

    hot racing makes shocks and shock mounts for the bruiser but should fit the p407 since it is a clone

      Yeah, I looked at them a while back. Thanks for the reminder.

    You helped me make my decision. Sold. Thank you. Where did you get the hex conversion for the wheels?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      RC4WD has a hex conversion kit. It's out of stock most of times...just put on the notification list.

    I agree with everything you say. I wouldn't even buy the tamiya brand one for $100. I had one in it's a POS.

    Which and where did you get the hub conversion? thx.

      You can get the 12mm hex conversion kit from RC4WD. Here's the link. They sell out pretty fast, so put yourself on the waitlist. store.rc4wd.com/12mm-Hex-conversion-kit-for-Tamiya-Bruiser-2012_p_2504.html

    Is it worth buying if u already have tamiya blackfoot...apart from 4x4 same right?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Without knowing how you plan to use it, it's very difficult to provide an opinion. It's Tamiya Bruiser clone for much cheaper price, and one that I have always wanted growing up, so I have no regrets. Ultimately, you will have to decide if it's worth it. Sorry I can't be more of help.

    Are the transmission gears metal or plastic ?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The transmission gears are all metal; however, it's sintered metal so it's not as durable as CNC machined.

    Honestly, I think this chassis is a poor designed compared to many today's RC crawler. The reason I bought one because this Tamiya design is a classic and at this price it's really a bargain.

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree fully! We are buying a design, albeit modified in 2012, but from 1985 when the original Tamiya Bruiser was released. That being said, most of us including myself, picked one up, due to nostalgia as it was something that I wanted but I couldn't afford back then. Additionally at ~$200 it's such a great deal. I have performance oriented rigs when I need performance, but P407 still brings smiles to my face whenever I take it out. And for the price that's priceless.

    • @LEORedSun
      @LEORedSun 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BigSungHobbies I couldn't agree more. I have many other RC crawlers but this Tamiya design is class by itself. BTW, you make great RC video. Keep up the good work!
