    Keep your head up Ding!❤❤❤ It's far from over and the past few games do not define the caliber of player you are. Don't forget the journey you've had to reach here, you earned the spot to play there after beating many of the best! You chose this game, you love this game and you weren't able to think of doing anything else other than chess. Not many get to become the best in what they are passionate about and you are. Enjoy the games, make the most of this opportunity that not many reach, trust in your superior understanding of the game and now that the worst is over, you have nothing to lose. Keep fighting, Rooting for youu!

    Everyone, the Russian translator is not there for Ian, they’re there for the press: the event is in Kazachstan, where Russian is a common language. This is not a case of FIDE providing a translator for Nepo and not for Ding. Doesn’t mean they shouldn’t provide a translator for Ding, he’s clearly struggling with the language.

    • @troyvirgona8738
      @troyvirgona8738 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, the host says the statement "if you want to ask in Russian" not "if you want to answer". Makes sense that they'd have a translator for the local language. Don't think it's a bias towards Ian.

    Ya lo dije en la 1ra conferencia, ayuden a Ding con un traductor, el GM Ding sufre y se estresa cada vez que tiene que responder, es obvio, se nota
    Ayudenlo con un traductor y que responda en su lengua materna.
    Ánimo Ding a levantarse solo es una caída ❤ y también ánimo Nepo esta es tu revancha soñada 💪

    From a practical stand point ,the tournament favours Ian. Even the press conference regulations favours him as there is no translator for Ding ( to translate his native language to English ), which makes him more uncomfortable hence these absurd questions "How do you feel about losing this game" add more salt on the wound.

    • @vibovitold
      @vibovitold ปีที่แล้ว

      it's not really great news for Nepo actually.
      if he wins, he's going to struggle with the "not a real WC" stigma (since Carlsen doesn't play), like Karpov back in the day.
      and that's inevitable from the start.
      but if Ding flops badly, this stigma will only be stronger.
      should Ding put up very strong resistance, it would look much better for Nepo to have prevailed.

    What a cringing press conference. Both players clearly ill at ease, and Ding looked very uncomfortable and ill. Where was the help for Ding in replying to questions in his native language? I felt for Ding and hope he'll make a good comeback. Not taking anything away from Nepo, who played well to get his win. Hope the rest day will help Ding, and I'm sure we'll see him play great Chess, in future games!

  • @alainzanchetta

    Disgraceful how FIDE doesn't care about these top GM players expressing their thoughts and emotions in their native language. We also as an audience lose so much insight from what those players could offer if they were allowed to express themselves in their native language.

    Is it NOT OBVIOUS that every effort is being put into making Ding as uncomfortable as possible? From putting him in the same hotel as Ian, at the beginning of the match, to interviewing him in a language that he's clearly not comfortable in. Ding isn't even allowed to express himself in his native language, so, he cannot technically express how he is actually feeling. Also, notice how the interviewer smiles and perks up when asking Ian a Question, but changes her tone and intonation when questioning Ding. After he answers, there's almost zero care in the world about what he says. Ding is going to respond strongly. Ding will be our next Champion and this experience is going to harden him to the core. I truly believe we are looking at our next Champion. He is human. He is honest. And he will FIGHT TO THE DEATH [on the board].

    • @vibovitold
      @vibovitold ปีที่แล้ว +4

      "putting him in the same hotel as Ian"
      that's not unusual, Anand and Carlsen were put in the same hotel in 2014.
      i don't think Anand ever considered this as a handicap
      why would it be even disadvantageous to Liren, while beneficial for Nepo? Nepo doesn't even hold the WC title (yet)
      "Ding isn't even allowed to express himself in his native language"
      but did his team even request a Chinese translator at press conferences before the match? was such request rejected? or just never made.
      i don't know - maybe it was, and got rejected; you're claiming something, i'm wondering if you can back the allegation up
      "Also, notice how the interviewer smiles and perks up when asking Ian a Question"
      OK that must be it
      notice how she's also making special hypnotizing moves with her eyebrows
      this explains why a WC challenger can only see Qxf6 and (by his own admission) overlooks gxf6
      despite thinking for 30 minutes

    I don't know why people are saying Ding needs a translator -- to me it seems Ding and Nepo both speak English about equally well even though it is not their first language. They just have different personalities, Nepo is well known for having a lot of bluster while Ding seems more reserved and maybe isn't expecting people to ask him questions about his personal life or how to answer such questions
