    Here's a hint to save money. Lenovo offers significant discounts for those who register as a student on their website. And they regularly offer discounts on select models.
    You make an excellent point about how the 8 GB RAM limits performance. But thankfully the RAM can be upgraded at home, to a maximum of 32 GB.

    • @sleepless51
      @sleepless51 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my country, the warranty is void if you open it for upgrading. They require taking it to the certified Lenovo service. Which is shame.

    Hi Ben! I could really use some help!! I purchased a new Lenovo Legion 5 with an Intel i7 10 Gen. It looks great but it is extremely slow loading anything!! At first it was so slow that it wouldn't ever finish installing security updates. It acts like slow wi-fi but my household wi-fi is pretty good. I've tried several things. I tried updating the ram from 8 to 32 gigs, using an ethernet cable etc. but nothing changed. I did change the wireless power saving mode to maximum performance on while on battery. That seemed to help a slightly, which is strange because I only use it while plugged in. But it is still extremely slow! I takes hours to download some simple software and take too long to load anything. Laptops that I have used in the past were quicker than my desk top PC. But this is anciently slow! I will probably have to send it to the manufacturer, but can you help?
    Thanks! Will

    I will be using it for DAW work (Reaper) and for light video editing (DaVinci Resolve). Would it be enough to get the i5-10300h version with 1660Ti? That's the one I can get around here without waiting too much. The i7-10750h is way harder to get.
    Also, how does the 4 zone rgb keyboard work? Can it be modified with iCue software for per key settings? Or would I be stuck to the 4 zone schema?
