i was just at Costco trying out this exact model. I can tell you that the screen flex is pretty much non existent. im the kind of person who pokes and prods and peeks into every detail of a laptop and the build quality of this machine felt surprisingly rock solid for a smaller brand. much more solid compared to the MSI competition (one of the best laptop brands out there). So if youre wanting something that feels sturdy, it definitely wont disappoint you.

I moved around the screen and I noticed tearing halfway on the screen. Now here is the weird part. If I do not cap it, I did not notice tearing, unless I looked for it closely. I was hitting about 200 fps. Usually the opposite holds true. Go figure :(

Sounds really tempting. 120Hz 1080p with a 1660ti sounds like a good combo. But I currently have zero need for a laptop :)

The 120 hz doesn't have a good srgb percent. Go for a 60 or 144 hz that have 100% srgb

The performance is absolutely not the same between the 2060 and 1660ti. There is as much as a 20% difference in some games

This has the refreshed 115w 2060 but it is locked to 90w? With thermal throttling the 2060 may come close to the 1660ti.

I have 5i with rtx2060 with Debian bullseye & nvidia 450.57 driver. Still fighting with PRIME with external 4k monitor but slowly getting there. Also experiencing somewhat higher power consumption from wifi (iwlwifi).. powertop says something between 6 to 16 watts just for wifi, according to external wattmeter whole laptop takes about 25w idle, without WiFi it's about 15w which means powertop is right. These problems will go away after some updates/work (firmware/bios/drivers/settings). Overall I'm happy, have it only 14 days now. Looks like quiet solid machine.

But honestly Lenovo isn't a very long lasting reliable brand. And if you really want to game just wait and get a Series X for $500 or Ps5 for $400-$500...no brainer duh...and much more power for gaming. Gaming laptops just don't last, I don't even know anyone who games on them. ???? And for even the price of this on sale ......$799 at best buy, you could get both consoles.

I see where you're coming from, but also there's some small stuff that you can do on a pc you can't do on consoles like installing mods, that and, for me at least, the portability is part of what makes it so attractive.

How is 60hz is better refresh rate than 120hz. 120 > 60 you know. In terms of color quality yes it's worse, but not the refresh rate.
