I have 7" display with 1024 × 600 resolution and it looks crisp and I have it quite close.
Agreed, i have a small 4k 7in’ monitor for my camera setup and it Its kinda stupid tbh. In my situation it makes more sense so i could microadjust things beforehand as opposed to post. But for something like this, i could be fine with 720/900p

NV5 is exactly what I was looking for, I thought the NV7 looked fantastic but it was too big for my next build.
Same and being cheaper I can get very good looking fans without pledge my house
I'm just now finishing up my Nv7 build. Took FOREVER to get all the fans I needed, but it looks absolutely beautiful. I would love to have those defused strips for the case edges on the Nv7, so yes, do it!
I want them too. I really like the Nv5 but I like the Nv7 back cable management.
yea man i started ordering all my shit back at end of march, and this week i was finishing my build finally
NV5 seems promising, although rigid tubing run between a top and side radiator looks like it would be difficult.
Soft tubing is best in tight spaces like that.
That NV5 is going to sell well for sure.

I really do like the NC5, though! It looks really clean while still having the unique features of this series rather than being like the very many O11 clones. (A certain "Qube" comes to mind...). It's also looking like they're punching on the same lines as Lian Li with the mechanical complexity as well.
Honestly considering its radiator and fan support and seeing it's a full tower it actually isn't really all that large. Compared to something like a haf 700 it's smaller all around and just slips out of obnoxiously large territory imo.
I was thinking about buying a Fractal North to replace my aging S340, but now I might wait for the NV5 - that thing looks amazing.
I would like the strips for the NV9 as well. I like the changes they made to the cable managment.

When I was in the market for a case I was between the NV7 and the HYTE Y40, I went with the Y40 because the NV7 was more expensive and quite bigger, if the NV5 was available by then, I would probably bought this instead of the Y40.
Nv7 would have been worth it. I have one and it's future proof for a long while
have the nv7 with the d30-120 fans...perfect combo! only aorus master rtx4090 doesnt fit on the gpu bracket, you have to adjust it a bit to make it work. Cleanest case i ever had, love it !!!
Is it only the Aorus rtx 4090 or will other 4090's fit fine? I'm considering this case as well and don't feel like having any trouble with it!!

As someone that finished a build in the NV7 less than a month ago, I would have loved to know they were going to announce a case that is better at everything so soon.
Guess I should have seen that coming in the computer industry. I'd take NV7 sized LED edge strips as a consolation prize.

As someone who is currently looking for a low-profile wall-mounted build, my ideal scenario is the GPU bracket from the NV9 that allows its positioning where most modern O11 version cases have the intake fans coming from the rear, a case/layout similar to the Core P3 TG Pro, Mobo cabling similar to both Asus and MSI options displayed so far in Computex (which are from the back side of the mobo),.....but the final component I have yet to see is a 90deg rotation of the PCIe GPU slot so the extension can be routed much more successfully. Maybe one day soon.

NV5 is a whole different (inferior) case. doesn't look there's vertical gpu support at all, the clean aesthetic and motherboard edge lighting and cable covers are gone... I just don't see it's appeal over existing cases that can mount more fans/rads in the segment. those LED kit accessory should just come with the case. also, there is some kind of cover similar to what comes in the NV7 that you completely didn't mention. I feel it should've kept the psu top mounted (obviously just horizontal) and retained the same styling as te NV7. NV9 is basically what the NV7 should've been.
I have the nv5 in my house and I am in love, now I am just waiting for the screen to add it to my nv5.
NV7 is a beautiful case but its just too exepensive for my budget. NV5 looks promising.

Computex has really made my life difficult in choosing my next case, but damn, that NV5 looked amazing with the aRGB led diffusion kit.

The NV5 looks perfect except for the RGB controls on the case that seem more limited than the NV7 - will keep my eye on this as I really like the speed control on the NV7.

I was considering the H9 flow but then this caught my attention, the extra space on the side panel allows me to plug a 4090 without worring about the bending cable too much, also the overall design is pretty solid, cheaper than a H9 flow and also that display accessary is what I really want once it comes out.
I got the h9 flow and I plan to get this nv9. The flow is wonderful, I love it. But the nv9 is that much better

Cripes, the thumbnail made me think the smallest case was actually reasonably small, but even it is enormous.
Nv7 and 9 definitely need more led diffusion
I would be interested in an NV3 ITX SFF version thats slightly larger than sff, if that makes sense.
The NV9 is exactly what I have been looking for, unsuccessfully, for the past few weeks! Its awesome how much you can fit in there and the price also seems quite fair, compared to other cases of that size. Very smart move by Phanteks to release the middle case first, listen for feedback and demand and then release more variations.
But still so much wasted space.
Still can’t use a 40+mm radiator on the bottom while using vertical gpu bracket.
Looks like they need to increase the hole size on that side panel vent.
Wish theyd make an N3, same aesthetic - but with restricted features for true ITX format
I wouldn't lose hope. Following their naming scheme there seems to be a large gap where an nv3 could fit. Just speculation but if the nv5 was their smallest planned model itd make more sense to call that an nv3 and the other two a nv5 and 7 respectively.

100% going with the NV9. Really want to have a roomy case for an EATX mobo and the option to move to a custom loop down the road. The various GPU mounting options also seem pretty neat.
What's the use you give for an eatx vs atx? Curious
I decided to go for the 9 instead of the 7 simply for the 140mm fans lol

@@Nodnarb69 140mm must bring same airflow with less rpm needed, the thing is my 120mm lian li or phanteks fans are extremely silent already and the airflow seems sufficient to keep both cpu and gou under 65c at heavy loads.
Therefore I'm moving to nv7 to be able to add one more intake and one more exhaust, while having x3 fans aiming to the gpu directly
I just hope Phanteks does a serious job and gets their RGB stripes matching the case lights this time. I have the Phanteks neon strips inside the Evolv X and the white balance and temperature is completely mismatched.
I would love to see a screen to go on the blank bit on the NV7 above the motherboard.

Planning on using the NV5 for my next build this year for the release of Starfield. Sadly there seems to be ZERO info on when the NV5 will be available, so I may end up having to scrap the NV5 and use a different case if they make it available too late in the year.
In August, so you have plenty of time.

Problem with this case is you dont have direct airflow ober the motherboard. Its just blowing from the side
480 radiator does fit in nv7 once you remove the fan holder. I did a post on reddit. But I guess they were really just holding it out to up sell the nv9

The NV9 looks cool but the NV5 is a huge letdown for me. All the cool features (in my opinion) from the NV7 are gone and the PSU area doesn't really look appealing, too. I'll probably stick to the NV7 or the new Lian Li O11 Vision which should come out in Q3 (even though idk about the inability to mount fans at the top)..
Agree, 100%. It appears it doesn't have the back cable management that the NV7 has, nor the nice lighting around the motherboard tray area. The PSU area also looks way worse overall.
If you decide to go with the nv7 you will love it

I thought the NV5 looked amazing for what it is, still having that fishtank asthetic while reducing the cost by alot. I always stuck with bottom PSU placements anyways and this still has enough space for most people. NV7 looks alil too big, I don't need all that space inside if im not gonna use it.
I definitely would be the NV9 type if the layout could be inverted. Am I the only one that hates to have the PC on the side where the mouse is?

Dang the NV9 is a beast.
With that vertical GPU mount they really need to offer a dual PCIE mount, one that puts space in for a single maybe 1.5x slot card for any other PCIe device someone may want whether that's a capture card, 10Gbe NIC, NVME SSD expansion card, etc. Admittedly graphics cards today are making this difficult anyways when you have to consider the side panel and airflow, but I imagine at least a 1 slot card would be possible, which is the size of most non-graphic card PCIe cards anyways. Plus the huge graphics cards these days would hide the other cards pretty well anyways.
I tried to built in the NV7 from a EVO XL and refunded the NV7.
It needed more Cable Management space in the back as it was near impossible to build in without custom soft/flexible PSU Cables.
Not enough room for Strimmers.
Not being able to take the side back panel off is dumb
Going to be difficult choosing between the O11D Evo XL and NV9.
O11D is so cliché, go against the crowd.
I Didnt know the NV Series, or any other Phanteks Cases. I had only Fractal Cases, but when i see the NV5, I knew this would be "the" Case for me. The other ones are too big for me.
Damn trying to decide between the nv5 and nv7 will be a struggle for me. There are things I like about both, things i might be meh on about both, but ever since that NV7 video its been my favorite case design for sure.
aaaand watching the rest of the video, OF COURSE the 9 is the one with the vert mount capabilities right in hand when that's what I've been thinking about doing for my next build lol

The nv5 is in the category of the o11 or corsairs 5000d or 5000x, classic mid tower with awesome glass panels.
The nv7 goes beyond for additional airflow, fitting up to X4 lateral fans and x2 exhausts. Just 6 cm above nv5, it's still a manageable size.
The nv9 is a colossus, perhaps excessively large for amateur pc enthusiasts and more for users wanting to make water cooling circuits or eatx complex builds.

I wish more case manufacturers would offer cases with the front I/O along the bottom, like on the 7 & 9.
There’s a reason why they don’t. Radiators should never mount to the bottom anyway, or in any configuration where the pump block on the cpu/gpu is the highest point on the radiator. This is because air travels up to the highest point, and if the air is in the pump, then it can really damage your radiator and performance

This is a revolutionary case design. The price makes the deal even more sweeter.
NV5, I would say smaller GPU or water-cooled. A 4090 in there on air is going to struggle unless you crank that bottom fan and side ones up...but that adds noise.
The NV7 (not perfect) is the best all around for the average builder who normally has 120 fans. You have all you need for air and water, and it's not OMG big.
The NV9 is nice, I like the back of it now for the cables. It's a bit bigger, but nothing that should be an issue unless you are space bound. The side GPU looks naff for GPU temps, and it is more focused on 140s, so that's a costly jump from 120s (if that's what you use), and if you deck it out in new 140s, your next case after the NV9 will need to be able to take 140s.
The vertical GPU mount looks very nice.
I have the nv7 but the nv5 mobo placement is better because my aio struggles to reach the top in the nv7
